5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, July 31, 2013
Everybody that buy at Mcdonald should read this book. Worth the time and money spent, definitely changed my mind. We modern humans don't understand how hard was to cook and hunt animals and plants. Our nature is to spent energy to get energy in broad sense. The high calorie package in a cheap hamburg is against our nature and we should learn that as soon as possible

Wonderful book about the history of Neil and the universe. The only reason I don't give 5 star is because sometimes it get repetitive. I would recommend this book for any of my friend and family, it's very easy to read even for non-native speakers of english

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful book for anyone interested in science, August 23, 2012

Zimmer always have a very didactic and wonderful way to describe scientific subject. I bought this book to give to a friend that is starting to tatto, so that he can be inspired like me in science in general. Maybe i will have a tatto in the future, so that people came to me and ask what that symbol means. It will be a pleasure to explain thousands of times why evolution inspired me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everyone should read !, October 19, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I had the chance to read the first book of this writer that focus more on scientific history and clinical field. This new book is somehow a great continuation of this impressive new field but now the author focus more on practical points rather than on scientific experiments. The amount of information contained in both books are pretty good, always trying to explain scientific world in simple ways
I have learned a lot, especially about how important is to not ignore our emotions and how the environment we live in can chance our life quality. The greatest argument of this book in my opinion is scientific data that support the new view of how cities and hospital should be made. Art, gardens, light and friends all are pivotal to improve our lives and patients care

Thanks for this wonderful book and keep the good work

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book about punk movement, atheism and science, September 14, 2011

I must confess that i am fan of Bad Religion, but this dont change my critical opinion about the book. First the book it's really well written and easy to read, even though English is not my native language
I don't agree with his opinion about the importance of evolution on the development of a specie. I prefer the classical position, as such Richard Dawkins wrote in on of his latest books. But this is how we make science, isn't ?
If you liked this book, you will certainly love the " Your Inner Fish: A Journey into the 3.5-Billion-Year History of the Human Body (Vintage) "

Thanks Greg for this wonderful group of "memes", I wish everyone shared the same way to look for the natural world

ps: Kindle dictionary helped me a lot

5.0 out of 5 stars Great way of reading a book, September 1, 2011
At first a thought that buy another device just for reading was an useless consumist. It turn out that I was completely wrong, kindle offers you new ways of enjoying a good book. The device is pretty light and easy to grab, buy a book is really a piece of cake
Once you get used with all feature you will certainly read more on this platform rather than the old way of knowing things. The built in dictionary helps a lot specially if English is not you native language, option such as keep you annotation its very useful as well.
I personally love my kindle and i recommend for all that want to read more in less time
