5.0 out of 5 stars Very good Gene Simmons tracks, March 23, 2008
This review is from: Hot In The Shade (Audio CD)
I think this is one and probably only Kiss record where Gene Simmons tracks in majority are better than the ones written by Paul Stanley. Having said this it is true that Paul Stanley is always very consistent in delivering 2-3 high quality tracks in every album, something which makes it worthwhile buying some of 80's Kiss albums("Lick It Up","Animalize","Asylum","Crazy Nights").

5.0 out of 5 stars Paul is KISS, October 27, 2005
I think Paul's musical talent multiplied by his endless dedication was responsible for the success story of KISS. Gene is another equal driving force behind the band but most of his songs are not able to do it for the KISS solely. Ace and Peter are both GODS and its a great pity in my view that their lack of dedication prevented them from staying in the band and creating more great songs together.

This album just confirms that Paul is the most balanced and focused musician out of the four - a true leader of the band.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love it, October 11, 2005
This review is from: Kiss (Remastered) (Audio CD)
I like all the songs on this CD. My favourite songs are: "Cold Gin", "Deuce", "Black Diamond". A must have for any metal fan. Those who say that KISS were never metal band simply don't know what they are talking about.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hard to find balance between speed and heaviness, September 10, 2005
This review is from: Blood Fire Death (Audio CD)
What makes this album so appealing to many is its great production. This record has the right balance between speed and heaviness. Music is of course great as well, but early Bathory albums have lots of good music too, but their production is not so good. For example, musically I really like UNDER THE SIGN OF THE BLACK MARK but I find it really difficult to listen due to its raw production (which is sounds as an ultimate compliment to the real black metal). But because production on BLOOD FIRE DEATH is so good, you're instantly know that this one is a must have.
