3.0 out of 5 stars Joe has to work a little bit harder or smarter, February 17, 2015
I think Joe has to work on this a little harder. I have a friend who was about 155 lbs, and then he went onto 160 lbs, 170 lbs, 180, 190, and then finally, 200, and now 210 lbs. Joe, on the other hand, as documented in this documentary at 17:10, went from 330 lbs to 220 lbs near 2008. Now 6 years later, he is about 250 lbs. Even at 220 lbs, it was much better than 330 lbs, but my friend who is about as tall as Joe, and have a similar body frame, was only 210 lbs when he was quite overweight.

So I think Joe needs to find some more methods, because his methods and the way he lived for the past 6 years, clearly did not make him very healthy. He probably will need to be about 165 lbs or 170 lbs, and well toned, so that his methods are well worth making into a documentary.

If his methods are very sound, then in 6 years, he really could go from 330 lbs to 160 lbs, because that means losing 28 pounds per year, or merely a little more than 2 pounds per month.

There are some funny cartoon as in Joe's first documentary that is quite worth it. I suggest you rent this instead of buying it.

3.0 out of 5 stars mix of the movie Groundhog Day, Alien / Predator, and Independence Day, January 27, 2015
It feels like a mix of the movie Groundhog Day, Alien / Predator, and Independence Day. So the day just repeat again and again, with some aliens, and you just need to send a bomb into some central place and the whole problem is solved. The only thing worth watching is Emily Blunt being a tough warrior.

1.0 out of 5 stars in a way that is almost like how a salesperson try any possible way to sell ..., November 6, 2014
This movie is not even accurate about how Google will convert interns into full time employees. In the movie, Vince almost forced a pizza restaurant's owner into using Google's ad program, in a way that is almost like how a salesperson try any possible way to sell the item that you don't need to you. Without even calculating any score or anything, which is the official rule, the judge said that pizza franchise will have endless possibilities, and therefore all 19 other teams lost, and you guessed it, Vince's team won. Wow, what a surprise!

4.0 out of 5 stars good drive, except it is very hot, October 3, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I'd like to add that the drive can become very hot. I plug it into a Macbook Air USB 3.0 port. The drive can be very hot, even when I eject the drive. When I unplug the drive, it drop back down to room temperature within minutes. When plugged in, I am estimating a temperature of 45 to 50 degree Celsius (about 122 F).

2.0 out of 5 stars wrong blue color, May 30, 2014

the blue on the photo is like a pinkish, pastel blue. But the real thing is more like a dark blue... I don't like it. In this case, it really is better to see the item before you buy it.

4.0 out of 5 stars The music in the game is definitely weak. It also feels like it was not made with the passion as Mario Kart Wii was, May 30, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I like the game, but the music definitely is a weak spot for the game. It is like some cheesy "ambiance music" that you may hear in a hotel lobby or some cheesy DVD's title menu.

The gameplay is still good, but somehow without the excitement I got from playing Mario Kart N64, Mario Kart Wii, or Mario Kart 7.

It also felt somewhat too easy to play. But I think once I try to get all Number 1 in 150CC and try to compete online, then it could be much more interesting.

One thing about the music (and possibly the gameplay) is that it is somewhat like a "corporate product". Maybe it was developed under the manager who didn't like "second opinions" or from a development group that has a lot of politics and nobody suggested or dared to suggest the choice of music in the game.

In terms of whether to buy this game: if money isn't an issue for you, I think no matter what, you probably will get the game anyway, as Mario Kart fans tend to be quite loyal to this game. (I, for one, couldn't wait for this game to come out on May 30th but instead went on to eShop to buy it around 10pm California time). But if you are picky about games and not necessary a big fan of Mario Kart, then I'd say play at your friend's house and decide later.

5.0 out of 5 stars This remains one of my most favorite speakers, April 26, 2014
It is amazing how such a small speaker can deliver such big sound.

My dad is quite picky about speakers and I gave one to him -- he is very pleased with it. He actually told me it is very very good, which he seldom says to me.

2.0 out of 5 stars Just too difficult to believe, April 12, 2014
It feels like the guys in the movie are "righteous brothers". Maybe it could have happened in the 80s, but not nowadays.

A drug lord, to exchange for the life of his daughter, let a policeman (Lau, Ching Wan) choose one of his two childhood friends (also policeman) to be released, and Lau chose Louis Koo. Nick Cheung, who got shot and dropped into the crocodile pond, got saved by the drug lord's daughter and they got married and lived together for five years.

It may suggest that Nick, who felt betrayed by the policeman Lau, and saved by the daughter, might actually live on the side of the drug lord, but no, he was very righteous and he just wanted to give up his life, his wife, and kill the drug lord anyway. This is very hard to believe and it felt like all three of them are "righteous brothers," which might be the case in the 80s, but not in the 2010s.

1.0 out of 5 stars cheesy, April 7, 2014
This review is from: Last Vegas (Amazon Instant Video)
This is merely a movie that is slapped together.

Michael Douglas -- Billy in the movie -- have known a girl for a while but she was merely 32, but Billy proposed to her, and she agreed, and they would get married the coming Sunday.

But due to some friends wanting to get together before the marriage, Billy met a woman and their interaction was like 2 hours, and both Billy and Robert De Niro -- Paddy -- both immediately fell in "love" with her. Billy said he found the "most beautiful woman he has ever met" in the past 70 years. Billy then didn't marry the young girl, and would marry the one he met in that 2 days.

Also, at first, Paddy didn't want to go to Vegas, Morgan Freeman -- Archie -- pretended that he was so out of breath and almost like dying and beg Paddy to go, and Paddy felt so bad about it and he went. And then when Paddy went pack for the luggage, Archie was like standing and smiling, and showing a victory gesture. So I think it teaches the public, whatever you want to achieve, do whatever you want to get it, including deception. Just do whatever to get what you want.

5.0 out of 5 stars better understanding of the world, March 28, 2014
I like the movie, if only because it lets me understand the world better.

That when I was told to be "professional", and to be nice and kind and be pleasant, be a "team player", to work hard to the point that I am a workaholic, to be an entrepreneur. A lot of time, these words might be just there to have a better control of me and fulfill what they want. Look at what people do, not what they say, no matter how beautiful they say it to be.

This movie might be an opposite of the movie "The Pursuit Of Happyness". That movie might be more like a "feel good movie" -- to fulfill the dream, etc, etc. It was indeed true that when I get the calls from brokers or agents, I asked them, "what's the price/sales ratio of the company?" And he didn't even know what it is, and they stressed that, "you mean price/earning ratio?" And a few hours, call me back with a number, and when I asked them, "what's the market cap of the company?" they responded with "what do you mean market cap?" But he would always ask me to buy and buy, 3,500 shares? good. 7,000 shares? even better. It also was the same at some stores where they almost try to force you into buying extended warranties on your computer. Some even targeted a lady, saying that "a computer is such a delicate piece of electronics. I will not let you out the door without buying an extended warranty as an assurance." You think they push and push, for your own good? Well, you go back to the store, and if they know you are not buying anything, they don't even bother talking to you for an extra 20 seconds. But they act as if they have a good heart and watch out for you, exactly what I see how people are in the movie.
