4.0 out of 5 stars Made from Borosilicate glass, this aerator looks great and works well., April 28, 2015
I was borderline 4 or 5 stars for this, but went with 4 for a couple of reasons. There are a variety of wine bottle neck diameters, from screw-cap to differing cork sizes. The aerator has a conical shape that will fit most bottles but can take some effort to pot in place. Once there it fits well. Because this fits in the neck, I'd use this when I want to serve an entire bottle.

The aerator is Borosilicate glass - the same material that Pyrex and lab glass is made from. So even though it's very thin, it is strong. It looks pretty elegant.

It will probably take a couple of uses to get the hang of placing it in the neck just right, but using this is worth it. Aeration is always good for wine.

5.0 out of 5 stars All in all a well thought out, quality light with plenty of power!, April 27, 2015
This light is amazing. My only problem was figuring out where to mount it. This one light illuminates our largest deck stairs - 15x10 feet. It also lights up a large area of deck. So on the deck or stairs? I love the light it puts out when mounted about 3 feet up. This gives a nice light throw over a wide area. If it's placed 1 foot up, the light is (obviously) much brighter, but covers a smaller area. One of these will cover most staircases, service doors, etc. There's a lot of light in this package.

It's also well made - all metal, not plastic. The rechargeable battery can also be replaced in a couple of minutes!

4.0 out of 5 stars Tasty, crisp and delicious, April 24, 2015
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
These things are more addicting than potato chips. After opening the can - a pain - my automatic opener would not work, so I had to use the old fashioned manual one - we ate about 2/3rds in one sitting. Sweet, crunchy and tasty.

Back to the can - my GF could not open it - I had to. I don't know why they don't use the peel off vacuum cap like most coffee manufacturers use.

Storage before and after use is exacting - long term storage at 75 degrees or less - so these have to be stored in the fridge or a cool pantry before opening, and in a fridge or freezer after opening. Once opened they have to be finished within a week. I found it handy to put them in baggies and the freezer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfection in a faucet! Flawless chrome finish, quality throughout, easy install. Looks amazing., April 22, 2015
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Wow. This is one slick faucet. From the weight, feel and look, to the quality and function, it's perfect. A little background: Our family used to own a couple of small apartment buildings - 6 units total. I took care of them. Painting, plumbing, etc. So I maintained six bathrooms and six kitchens, and over 25 years, replaced a lot of fixtures. We never spent a lot of money, as many tenants tend to abuse stuff. Maybe $35 for a bathroom fixture. We'd spend around $100 or so for stuff at home.

There's no comparison between this faucet and ANYTHING under $100. Heck, it's better than most of what we used to buy. From the packaging to the instructions, it's amazingly thorough. Specialty tools are included, and you'll only need basic tools to install.

You will need to remove the old faucet and drain - the drain (with drain plug) is designed to work with this faucet. Installation is easy and pretty fast. In our case it was a little tight - we have medicine cabinets that run across the counter-top with a full-wall mirror. There's only 7" under the cabinets. The faucet sits partially under the cabinet, and *JUST* clears it when the handle is up. Install took around 45 minutes and is about as simple as it gets.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice, well made and comfortable., April 21, 2015
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
My hands are somewhere between a large and an XL and these are a perfect fit. If you're a man and have L or XL hands, these will be a good fit. Medium or smaller, or most women? These will be too large.

They are quite a bit thicker than regular latex gloves, and have textured fingers. The cuffs are approximately 3" longer than regular latex gloves. Unlike regular gloves these can be reused and don't have talc inside.

4 stars and not 5 because the size is nowhere close to "one size fits most" and three of the gloves were torn.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use and it really works., April 18, 2015

When you need to clean a deck, lawn furniture, etc. but there's grass, flowers and other green, living stuff nearby - or next to whatever needs cleaning - all the experts recommend Hydrogen Peroxide. Unlike Bleach, Hydrogen Peroxide won't poison your plants. Large leafed blants may experience some burning, but this can be avoided if you wash off the plants asap.

I have a personal distaste for OxyClean. It's just repackaged powdered Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2.) But they did a great job with their annoying pitchmen, and now people blindly buy the stuff. If this cleaner used good old generic H2O2 it would cost less - but nobody would know what it was, or would not trust it as much. So it's called OxyClean.

Anyway, H2O2 is a fantastic cleaner - when used correctly. It's not spray it and wait, then rinse. It's spray, let soak, scrub, rinse. I used this in our pressure washer to glean black and green moldy areas of our deck. First it's sprayed on at very low pressure. Let it soak in and form for a few minutes. Spray again. Use a scrub brush (the kind with a long handle - almost like a broom) to clean thoroughly, then rinse off. If you try the same thing with regular cleaner, it won't work nearly as well. I've tried deck cleaners and even bleach. Bleach works great - but it will pretty much kill any plant it touches, and when you wash it off, the diluted bleach gets in the dirt or on the lawn - and again, killing it.

Sure - you could just pick up come OxyClean and use that - but it's a pain. I've done it. This cleaner is a lot easier to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use, handles 6V and 12V batteries of several different types., April 18, 2015
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
If you have a vehicle (or battery) that is not used that often, but you need to keep a full charge on, this is the ideal solution. If you have a dead battery and need to recharge it - ditto. This is a pretty simple and very reliable charger and maintainer.

Three different connection options are included - direct (permanently attach the included weather-proof connector), with the included jumper clips, or with the included lighter connection. Most modern cars cut power to the lighter, so this is primarily for older vehicles.

The PL2140 handles 6V and 12V batteries, plus several varieties. You need to read the manual to make the correct choice of battery from the three charge types on the unit.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice quality, bright colors and sounds good. A cool retro item for your desktop or as an unusual gift!, April 17, 2015
When I was asked if I wanted a free sample to review, I was a bit skeptical. Who wants an FM radio?

This this has a lot going for it - it's retro - there's an actual antenna. That pulls out about 10". Remember those? On top of that, it's also a media player via a micro-SD/TF card. It's loud and the sound quality is good - especially considering it's only 1.25".

The manual (what there is) is terrible. It took some playing around with the player to figure it out. Once I did that, the radio automatically scanned all the FM stations and put them in presets. That took all of 5 seconds. The media player is the same - it takes some tinkering.

Overall, this is a fun unit. Four stars because of the instructions. Just press the button with the two arrows - that starts most things going.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a nice, bright Candle Light Bulb, with a warm light., April 17, 2015
The timing was perfect when I was offered the opportunity to review several different G7 LED bulbs. We're starting to replace the incandescent and CFL bulbs in the house. We have a variety of styles - floods, round, candle - you name it. Some on dimmers, some not. As bulbs burn out or fail, an LED takes it's place.

If you use LED's, you know the many advantages - cost less to run, are not damaged by vibration (ceiling fans!) and don't get too hot to touch.

This small globe is in a fixture on our ceiling fan, gives off an amazing amount of even light. We replaced a 70W bulb with this one, and honestly can't see a difference in the light. Brightness, color of light - looks the same as an incandescent.

LED lights have improved massively over the past couple of years. Compare an LED bulb with the same specs from several months ago with this one - this bulb is cheaper, made better and much brighter.

This is a nice, bright Candle Light Bulb, with a warm, solid light (it does not flicker like some decorative bulbs are designed to do.) It's the same color temp as incandescent. It looks a lot brighter than 35W. The light is also pretty directional, with most of it pointing upwards.

This light is incredibly bright - if you stare at it momentarily you'll see spots for a while. It's far brighter than an equivalent incandescent bulb, and much better quality.

This bulb is bright, cool and well made - 5W? Wow.
