2.0 out of 5 stars Too big, too floppy, February 9, 2008
I don't agree with the other reviews. I was disappointed. It's too large to handle a small omelet in a small pan, and it's really TOO flexible to be very strong. My husband is ready just to chuck it away.

3.0 out of 5 stars "Status Quo" is right, November 18, 2007
I completely agree with Cherise Everhard's review. It's all getting a little tired, and it's really time for Stephanie to show some personal growth. For someone who's supposed to be "independent," and even smart, she certainly allows hserself to be rescued on a regular basis, even once by Joyce Barnhard, for pete's sake! She doesn't even hesitate to accept Ranger's cars any more. After 13 books, she just shouldn't be so helpless and clueless -- and even whiny at times. And the constant salivating over Ranger's heat is becoming a bore. Some funny stuff, sure, but ultimately much less satisfying than earlier outings.

4.0 out of 5 stars TEEEEENY, August 15, 2005
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
This is a nice puzzle, which my 7-year-old put together very quickly. It's fun finding the "small stuff" but they items are so very very tiny that sometimes even with the glass it's hard to tell if it's a picture or a just a random squiggle.

5.0 out of 5 stars a brilliant book for kids, April 5, 2005
This book is so very well done -- lots of biographical facts woven into a beautifully illustrated story from the most peaceful and productive phase of Pollock's life. Just right for younger elementary school students -- and also good for older ones when you add the fuller biography in the back. A really wonderful book about an important artist and about making art.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for locals, March 5, 2005
This book is very comprehensive in terms of areas covered -- lots of suburban restaurants included -- and thus especially useful for people who live in the area. Only quibble is that it's time for a 2nd Ed.
