2.0 out of 5 stars POC - don't buy, April 20, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a piece of crap - please don't buy and waste your money even if it is three dollars. If you look closely at the picture, the RCA ends have very thin metal flanges - these are very flimsy. They got bent the first time I inserted to the two RCA end on my mixer. Once they sit, I hear a LOT of static even with a slightest move of the audio source - in my case a tablet. My suggestion - get something else for a few dollars more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works if you set it up right!, January 21, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I had got this product almost 1 1/2 years back and couldn't set it up for some reason. Recently I tried and had no success. I changed HDMI cables, used different ports. I emailed Kinivo's customer service and they came back (with std. reasons). Finally, I found that our TV, which is seven years old, has two HDMI slots. I had thought it had only one. Thus I was connecting it to the wrong input and expecting it to work. Since the TV is wall mounted, It is hard to see the two ports. Once I connected the output to the right input, there was the picture, viola!! Stupid reason to blame the product. On the cons side, the power cable sits loosely in the power input of the box. The HDMI output slot also does not hold the cable tightly - some moving around the box, loosens it up. Once the box is in place and no moving around, it has been doing its job.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, September 4, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Easily one of the best products I have bought from both value- and quality- perspective. I was able to charge my Android phone a couple of times over the weekend to full charge. Moreover, the key point is the backup battery retained had all of its four lights lighted up even after a week of charging. The handy iPhone and Nexus adapters are a huge help. Feels a bit weighty, but batteries are heavy as a matter of fact - just check your security system backup battery or any backup battery for that matter. The cover is knitted - wish it was cloth in full and had a separate pouch for the connectors, this way I don't have to store them separately. The look and feel of the product also exudes quality unlike the cheap made-in-China ones. And you CAN charge two devices at once - another bonus, did just that last week when I had to charge my GPS device and my phone at the same time while driving. Glad I bought it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the price, September 4, 2013
It is rare that one writes a review after using a product for over FIVE years, as you get the most real feedback with use, not just first impressions. The Securelogic mail vault was the perfect mail box for us when we moved into our home - it did not require a key, it was secure also in that it wasn't easy for anyone to put their hand in and pick up mail, it boasted a large capacity enough for two weeks' worth of mail. It did serve us very well for the first two years, but in the meantime I started noticing rust forming at the edges. I did clean it up and sprayed it over with similar paint. Now after nearly six years, I can see LOT of rust on the edges. The door is almost falling off due to rust. The lock mechanism isn't working anymore as the bolt won't recede all the way in even with the key. When I buy a mailbox, I would think (or thought) that it was a lifetime investment especially after investing over hundred and fifty bucks plus installation. The post that holds the mailbox has also rusted. The customer service did offer us a replacement for ninety-nine dollars but shipping would be another 30-40; all-in-all I didn't want to invest again in a product that would most likely rust again. I have to say the winter isn't severe, but we do get snow three-four times a year and decent amount of rain during spring/summer. My advice would be best go for a masonry mailbox or a simple plastic one if security isn't a priority.

Edited: Works well enough. Handy to have two charging ports on one compact device. During my travels, I can charge two devices at the same time or while on vacation, can charge both my Android and my wife's iPhone at the same go. And there isn't a lot of weight attached to it. No more hunting for two charging outlets at airports anymore if say my phone and my tablet are both needing juice.

Samsung SCH-LC11 4G Mobile Hotspot (Verizon Wireless)
Samsung SCH-LC11 4G Mobile Hotspot (Verizon Wireless)

1.0 out of 5 stars DONT BUY VERIZON HOTSPOT SERVICE, December 10, 2011
This is a review more about the service than the device. We bought the hotspot service through Amazon with the Samsung SCH-LC11 4G. The terms clearly state that you can terminate the service within 15 days without any early termination fee and voiding the contract. We found the service to be extremely choppy and rarely we would get 4G signals. You can't rely on such a service and device if your business is dependent on it. In addition the device would go to sleep w/o notice. We returned the device to Amazon who took it back w/o any issues. Just to be safe we asked if we need to cancel the service with Verizon and the rep went ahead and did that.

Surprise - we got an invoice from Verizon for $56 and change. The bill didn't clearly state what the charges are for. They had prorated an $89 charge for the 7 days of the device usage. When we talked to verizon, the representative couldn't give a convincing answer what the charges were. She once explained it is an activation fee. when we told that Amazon doesn't charge activation fees, she retracted that explanation. When asked to speak with the supervisor, she came back and said he/she was busy but can give a 50% discount. Why pay 50% on a charge that is inexplicable? After about an hour worth of time on a Saturday morning, we decided to just pay and forget the lousy experience.

On Verizon's website, the policy states that if we return within 3 days of receipt then there will be no charges. Hope Amazon includes clear policies - the 15 day return is very misleading. Had the service and device worked, we would have kept them. Wish Verizon corrected the issue instead of insisting on charges and leaving a bad taste with a customer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome? Think so!, June 13, 2011

The Braun Series 7-760 cc works very well for me. I upgraded from a $39 Norelco rotary razor and can see the difference. The series 7 defintely gives a much, much smoother shave for the same amount of time. With the series-7, I can feel my chin as smooth as they make out to be in the ads. The motor is pretty powerful and you can feel it revving; the flat but longer cutter does a better job than the rotary blades (for me). I do need to watch myself in a shaving mirror up-close to weed out all the areas neat and clean. The personalization adjustments - where you can increase or decrease the intensity of the razor - works fine on the sensitive areas of the neck. So far, I haven't had any red areas after the shave. I do have to stretch my skin as recommended. The cleaning system is a bit of a drain as I look at it. The cleaning cartridge can last upto 60 days, but you will need to replace it - an on-going expense. You can wash the razor under water and the cleaning indicator still says the razor requires the minimum level of cleaning. I plan not to replace the cartridge and stick to water cleaning, though I have to forgo the nice fresh lemon smell when I have it up-close for shaving. The razor can run off the electric cord straight which is a big plus for me as I personally don't like rechargeable batteries - they are not good for the environment. The corded operation means I have less to carry when I travel. While the one sixty bucks price tag is a bit overboard for me for a razor, my shave with the series-7 definitely leaves me satisfied each and every day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, June 13, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Can't help but love this case. It served me many purposes. The Infuse, while having a nice form factor and being the slimmest phone on the market, has a tendency to slip off your hands. I didn't want the silicone cover for the fact that such covers tend to get dirty and takes away the look of the phone over a period of time. This case adds to the bulk just enough that I can hold the phone without it feeling too heavy. Secondly, with the case, I don't need a separate screen guard. The phone can be in my pocket without the possibility of getting scratched with car keys in the same pocket. The leather case also should protect from radiation, but the Infuse 4g is the second least emitting phone on the market. I am not a big camera user, so the cover doesn't bother me as you have to pull the cover flap a little down on the back to expose the camera.

4.0 out of 5 stars You can make it work, June 16, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I read many good reviews of this enclosure and brought it with Western Digital 320GB SATA II hard drive (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0011U65F2/ref=ox_ya_os_product). The packaging of the hard drive was alright - don't think tossing it would do much damage unless someone does a crush test on it. Anyway, it took me 5 minutes to figure out the instructions in the manual wasn't very accurate (after you loosen the screws, you need to pull out the PCB from the other side). I was able to mount the hard drive rather easily. Initially I hadn't fastened the hard drive to the PCB with the 4 provided screws and I realized this when I could feel the HD a bit loose inside. After connecting to my Windows XP, I could see the message (found new hardware) and got the message it is installed. However, my laptop wouldn't recognize the new disk!!!

I thought I was one of those who had to return the enclosure. After some Googling, I found on the Western Digital site, the Data Lifeguard diagnositcs tool (for the particular model of my hard drive) and it said all is okay. Then I found another link on the WD site that indicated an unformatted hard drive won't be mounted right away. You need to format/partition it. You can find directions at [...]

About the product itself, it seems to do what it promises. It can be powered by only one USB port; this was critical for me as I wanted to load all my photos on the hard drive and use it for my Digital Photo Frame. It is nice looking; only wish it had some sort of dampening/rubber-based housing.
