A Grand Illusion?: An Essay on Europe
A Grand Illusion?: An Essay on Europe
Price: $9.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Read it to understandably recent events..., June 12, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
...such as why Russia can't stand Ukraine joining NATO, the continued rise of euroskepticism or the exaggerated expectations placed on the European project. This, from a fiercely independent and progressive historian who commands the respect of all, no matter their political beliefs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Faster, sharper, true-to-life and durable, December 28, 2007
Sharp pictures, with true-to-life colors.

Fast autofocus with any lens in the four-thirds standard. With my E-510 all of my lenses used to hunt incessantly in low light.

Rugged: shock and weather-proof. User-friendly and telecentric.

The best camera in the four-thirds standard. Matches and even surpasses the competition. Those who want their pictures sharp, without barrel distortion; those who need a shock and weather-proof camera; those who want the best glass available without having to pay extra for lens-stabilization, should look no further.

With sensor-based stabilization and with a peerless dust-removal system, you'll be free to take your pictures indoors, outdoors, in low-light, at slow-shutter speeds and at the lowest ISO levels possible. That's why, in my opinion, concerns with grainy pictures at higher ISO levels are irrelevant . With this body, I haven't had to move beyond ISO 1250 at all and I have barely used the otherwise excellent built-in flash.

5.0 out of 5 stars Probably the only book on photography you'll ever need, August 13, 2007
No other book is so masterfully organized and written around the theme of "creatively correct exposures". Regardless of the medium used (film or digital), the professional experience of the author as a photographer and as a teacher comes together in this highly readable book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Flawless... for just three months, February 7, 2004
Teaching with a presentation remote is a declaration of freedom. No longer having to seat in front of the computer to flip through my Keynote or PowerPoint presentations allows for more participative discussion. The Keyspan's cluttered yet complete interface provides all the functions of the competition at a fraction of the price. Moving the cursor, flipping pages, laser-pointing... It's all there. Regrettably, it only worked for just three months. I even changed the battery (a very expensive and even more difficult to find 3v model) but nothing happened. It turns out the original battery was still fully charged.
In conclusion: I can't recomment this product. I have now ordered the RemotePoint Navigator. Hopefully I'll be luckier next time.
