4.0 out of 5 stars oranges for apples, December 24, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
a standard usb port on one end, an iphone plug, a mini usb for samsung or lg smart phones, and a plug i have never seen before on the other end. it functions, but is kind of a pain to use the mini usb in your car unless you have a phone cradle that will let it swing sideways. the cord falls straight from the steve jobs end, and is heavy enough to make it a trick to get the other to stay connected. probably easier to go with seperate plugs for the istuff and the phones...but these do work ok if you can get over the little quirks.

it is slightly smaller than a credit card, although obviously thicker. some might not like that there is no length to speak of for the cords. i purchase this because i wanted something to throw in my BOB so i could be ready wherever i ended up. space at a premium and all that. so, if you need a long cord, better look elsewhere. if you just need to be prepared in case, this functions as expected.

This review is from: Duel Bite N Blow Elk Call (Sports)
these type of calls are the simplest to master...and some of the most realistic. not nearly as fun as needling a big bull with a diaphram call to get him in bow range. but, like any call, very effective if practiced with correctly. i still prefer the sound of the sceery ace 1, but this call makes a cow sound too. and the ones you have to impress are the animals. duel makes a decent open reed call also, but my issue with open reed calls has always been that while in the thick of the moment when i am focused on the animal and i want to pick up the call and make a specific sound, there are not usually very good reference points on the barrel for you teeth and you risk making a really loud goose hail call at that bull. also, this call has the rubber cover so you dont bite down and pinch your tongue...hey, it happens.

2.0 out of 5 stars poor description, December 24, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
i purchased this thinking that a "mini usb" was an exclusive expression for the type plug i needed for my samsung galaxy blaze. i was wrong. in going back to look closely if i had just skimmed over the description and missed the important parts i noticed...there is no definitive description. pictures were even worse because they show the smaller "usb" end from the cord side. less than helpful. to be clear, the end provided is the more square notched end that will fit the recharge port in a leap pad, or the recharge port to one of those small, cheap, "stylish" square speakers for your phone. this will NOT fit the current menagerie of t-mobile supported LG or Samsung phones or tablets. hopefully this will save someone from the wrong purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars great sight, bad punch, December 12, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
the sight is superb. it fits snug and is machined well. big improvement over the stock sight. as other reviews stated, the punch that comes with it might as well be made of plastic...and the new roll pin as well. i ended up using the pin that i took out of the original sight and using my own pin punch. the packaging recommends installation by a gunsmith, and i would second that if you dont have access to your own set of quality punches, a vise that wont mar your gun's finish, and some extra roll pins laying around. luckily, i have all of those things, so i was successful. and once attached, target acquisition is much improved. i prefer the tritium glow to a laser on my handguns.

3.0 out of 5 stars so very quiet, December 12, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
i read a bunch of reviews that praised this call as being so darned awesome. i am thus far not seeing the awesomeness. i can make really really soft mews with it, but that is pretty much all it does. if you get creative you can do an extremely quiet bugle. it is tough to get a good, provocative estrus whine...and even if you do it is so very quiet. it is bulky and not easy to use with one hand. this might be a good call to carry in addition to others if you are calling for someone else, but i wont be carrying it solo as the "best call i have ever heard/used". just in case someone is looking for the easiest, best sounding call...so far in my opinion it is the sceery ace 1. cant beat that one with a stick.

5.0 out of 5 stars so far so good, December 1, 2014

this might be a bit preemptive on my part because i have only owned these for about a month and a half, but i am happy thus far. i use these exclusively in flashlights...no vape experience in my past, present or future. i have several (many) lights to choose from, but for my "testing" purposes i am using my old, trusty quark tactical qt2l. i work nights at a cheese factory as a mechanic, so there is ample opportunity to use both these and primary cells side by side. i have no apparatus for testing lumen output other than my eyes, so my tests are not going to be something you will see posted on cpf, etc. output with the rechargeables is close enough to output with the cr123's that my eye doesnt see much difference, if any at all. the charger works great and all 6 batteries charged up and held...something i was a bit fearful of after reading some of the reviews. i also have a nitecore d2 charger that works to charge these LiFePO4's, but you have to manually select that mode. i was also unsure of the size, since my 7777 lights dont have any wiggle room. no worries there, these fit where a cr123 fits. so, barring any catastrophic failures, i am happy with this product and hope to be able to give a positive update in the future about their longevity. they have already saved me money since i have used all three sets of 2 about twice now.

5.0 out of 5 stars costly but cool, November 23, 2014

takes 1 AAA battery. is 80+ lumens. twist the head for on/off and modes. it is sleek and unobtrusive. i really like these little lights to jangle around in my pocket with my keys to await an unexpected dark moment. If I am expecting dark, I will usually have a primary flashlight to rely on, but these are a great back up. I have never had issues with the surface being too slippery, although it does tend to chip if it hangs out with a rough bunch of keys in a dark pocket.
My gripes for the preon 1: 1-the price. the ti2 is a bit longer, bit brighter, but 1/3 the price, or less. 2-the clip is too limber, although this does make it easier to bend back into shape. 3-the ability to stay in my pocket. I have carried the preon 2, various eagletacs, thrunites, and foursevens mini's in my pockets and none of these have disappeared as quickly as a preon 1. I have owned 4 of these in as many years. In summary, this light earns its 5 stars...although you will pay for it.

3.0 out of 5 stars no 7777, November 18, 2014

I was hoping for something on par with 47 preon 2. i was disappointed. if i had never owned a preon, or any other higher end light for that matter, then i would probably be ok with this light. but now that i have been spoiled, i am picky. the rear clicky on this light is touchy and will come on in your pocket. the real problem though is this: you never know what mode it will come on in. i dont know if i just got a lemon, but my light is random as to the first mode out of the gate, regardless of what mode it was on when i shut it off. i usually use high. so, if i look at something illuminated with high mode for a minute or two, click the flashlight off for a few minutes, then turn it back on, it comes on in strobe. or low. i tried several tests and concluded that there is no mode memory, simply a "random" circuit. everything else about the light seems ok. mode cycling works, build is good, threads are smooth, clip is even nice. but that button. as i mentioned earlier, if i had never owned a preon, i would probably like this light even with its randomness...but i did own one, so i dont. ;-)
