Black & Decker F976 Quickpress Iron with Smart Steam Technology and Stainless Steel Soleplate
Black & Decker F976 Quickpress Iron with Smart Steam Technology and Stainless Steel Soleplate
Price: $24.21
31 used & new from $10.10

2.0 out of 5 stars Same as every other cheap iron out there, July 10, 2013
First, the good points: I love the simplicity of the controls on the Black & Decker QuickPress iron, and I think it is a good enough buy for a college student. As for the bad points.... This iron, true to its price point, has a short life span. Ours is about 2 years old (coincidentally, since that seems to be the life span of a "modern" iron), and it needs replacement. It leaks and spits water everywhere. The front of the plastic housing is discolored from heat (it looks scorched). The soleplate doesn't get hot enough to be effective on linen and cotton -- you have to really wet the fabric ahead of time. There is no cap over the water inlet (seriously???!), which means it has a tendency to spill water everywhere. Lastly, the auto shutoff feature is really annoying. I understand why it's there, but would 15 or 20 minutes be so much to ask (rather than the measly 7 or 8 you get)?

Would only recommend the QuickPress to those who need something quick and cheap, and who are prepared to ditch it after not much use. Definitely NOT for people who sew or quilt!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Terribly noisy frame, July 15, 2011
We have owned this frame for just under a year and are very unhappy with it. Combined, we weigh only 270 lbs. Within a couple of months of use, it started squeaking loudly with every movement. We could have lived with it, but now we have a newborn who wakes when we stir. Very bad situation when you are already exhausted as new parents.

3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't "grow" as well as it should, November 14, 2010
Love the looks and basic functions of this chair. The snap-on and -off clear plastic tray cover is a great feature and we really like the looks of the wooden chair as opposed to the usual plastic-and-metal monstrosities out there.

UNFORTUNATELY.... The chair hasn't "grown" very well with our child. He is just over 2 and somewhat tall for his age (37"), and the chair has become uncomfortable for him. This is because the crotch restraint (also wooden) is fixed, not to the pull-out main tray, but rather to the snack tray underneath. Therefore it has just one position, and can't be adjusted as the child grows. With the chair cushion installed, the crotch piece is positioned 7.25" from the chair back, which sounds like a lot, but for older toddlers (especially boys!) it is not enough. It is possible to remove the snack tray (and therefore this crotch restraint), but that also removes the support brackets for the dining tray -- so you can't use the dining tray if you remove the snack tray. This would be fine with us if the chair would fit under our dining table, but it does not -- the arm height is 32.25" from the floor. So, now we have to buy another high chair to get our son through this in-between stage, and we are NOT pleased about that. Hope Graco fixes this in the future, because otherwise this is a nice classic wooden chair.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing mascara, August 21, 2010
It actually does curl lashes (curve becomes noticeable as the lashes dry), and it washes off with regular old facial cleanser, but it doesn't smudge easily. The perfect mascara -- cannot believe they discontinued it!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Ava is a nice bra, June 26, 2010
I definitely recommend the Fantasie Ava bra. It is well made, pretty, and comes in a decent range of sizes.

Drawbacks:
The colors could be a little more imaginative, and the light foam cups are a bit on the stiff side; however, they are thin (1/8" or less) so it's not noticeable while wearing.

The cups provide a beautiful, uplifted, round shape. If they don't, it's highly likely that the wearer is in a cup size that is too small. The vast majority of women choose a band size that is too large coupled with a cup size too small, and this causes a MULTITUDE of fit problems (a pointy look, straps dropping off shoulders, constant shifting of the garment on the body, sore shoulders/back, droopiness, back bulges, and so on and so forth). If you have any of these issues, it's not you -- you are wearing the wrong size. Incidentally, I've read elsewhere online that one should go up one cup size in this style, and that has proven true for me. (In other words, if you normally wear 34D, try 34DD first with this bra.)

This bra also gives astounding lift (as do all Fantasie bras). This company really knows what they're doing in that respect. Again, highly recommend the Ava bra!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best T-Shirt Bra, June 3, 2010
The Porcelain Lace bra by Panache (5276) is the best and prettiest t-shirt bra I've ever owned. The foam lining is about 1/8" thick (no more) and just enough to smooth things over, so to speak. The "Blush" color and the lace are just beautiful; the lace is very soft and non-irritating. The straps are comfortable and somewhat cushioned. The cups give a very flattering round shape; they are very carefully molded, so you must be certain to get the correct fit and size. Highly recommend this bra.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's a bra, not a camisole, April 6, 2010
The Le Mystere Tisha Bra (#955) is the perfect t-shirt bra. It comes in basic colors, has excellent support and shaping, smooth fabric, and foam lining to prevent show-through. I didn't think it was any tighter in the band than any other brand-new (read: not-yet-broken-in) bra. Contrary to other reports, I also found it very accurately sized. I measure in between cups, so just as expected, I barely fit into the smaller cup size. Therefore, measure accurately, and for CORRECT information about sizing a bra, go to BreakoutBras dot com (they sell here on Amazon too).

The cups are moderately stiff, but not uncomfortably so, and this IS a t-shirt bra. The whole aim of it is to maintain modesty under fitted shirts, therefore it does have to have some firmness to it. People who complained of stiff cups perhaps are looking at the wrong style of bra. My one suggestion is that it should be available in more colors and tag-free. I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for worry-free concealment and good overall support.

You're My Little Love Bug (Parent Love Letters)
You're My Little Love Bug (Parent Love Letters)
by Heidi R. Weimer
Edition: Board book
Price: $9.35
169 used & new from $0.01

4.0 out of 5 stars Very cute and entertaining book, January 27, 2010
You're My Little Love Bug is a very cute and sweet book, and we love the colorful, but not gaudy, illustrations. It is quite over-the-top sweet, so some readers may not care for it. Our son absolutely ADORES this book, and that is the important part!

Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the music is way too loud (why do toy manufacturers always seem to think all babies are hard of hearing??). It would be great if the manufacturer could tone it down a bit, or even add a volume control. It is almost impossible to read over the music playing. Also, the tune does not repeat, so as you make your way through the book the music stops playing. Our son insists on having the music play, so at that point we have to close the book and flip it back open to get it playing again.

2.0 out of 5 stars Run of the mill conditioner, December 7, 2009
TIGI Rockaholic Livin' the Dream conditioner is just "OK".... It smells really nice and does an average job of keeping tangles under control. However, it left my hair staticky, so that's the dealbreaker. It definitely does not justify its $20 price tag. I don't notice any difference between this and your average drugstore conditioner, except for the perfume fragrance.

1.0 out of 5 stars Fit is awful, September 11, 2009
The fit of this bra (Emily B Daisy Maternity Bra) is awful. The cups just don't seem to be the right shape. Ordered two of these, so I know I didn't just happen to get a "bad" one.
