This sort of works. It often seems like it's too flimsy to power through the ice it is creating. Lots of ice cream remains stuck on the sides and needs to be manually extracted at great pains.

Dries boots and gloves quite well. I wish it were heavier actually. Steel toe work boots can tip it over if not put on just exactly right or balanced out with another pair of shoes on the smaller side.

This does, in fact, adapt between T mount lenses and F mount cameras. I mounted a Phoenix 500mm f/8 lens on a Nikon D5100 body and was able to shoot immediately in full manual mode. As you might expect I got no metering, no autofocus and the lens darkens when you stop it down. I realized this would be the case beforehand. The only unforeseen downside is that you never know where the lens controls will end up. The aforementioned lens mounts with the aperture ring and focus scale slightly off center with this adaptor and if I add on a teleconverter the controls spin almost to upside down. Kinda weird. Not a big problem, but I guess this might be more of an issue with the whole T mount concept than the adaptor.

These are cardboard coated in plastic with coin shaped holes. Just as they suggest. Pretty hard to screw that up. The sizes are perfect for American coinage - dimes, quarters, pennies, etc.

Consider the Fork: A History of How We Cook and Eat
Consider the Fork: A History of How We Cook and Eat
by Bee Wilson
Edition: Hardcover
Price: $21.59
120 used & new from $1.99

3.0 out of 5 stars Good utensil factoids, questionable everywhere else, April 26, 2015
Consider the Fork is an interesting look at culinary techniques and equipment through the ages. The factoids that you will learn from reading this book are pretty cool and you can amaze your foodie friends with historical food knowledge. Aside from the well researched factoids, though, this book lacks a certain amount of organization and the writing is often imprecise, awkward, or just plain incorrect. Anytime Wilson begins to talk about the science of cooking or food, watch out as it is most likely distorted, poorly explained, or in most cases just inaccurate. For example, the difference between accuracy and precision is discussed in the chapter on measuring and either the author failed to consult a scientist, science textbook, or even google, or Wilson simply failed to understand the explanation before attempting to write about it. In either case the resulting paragraph about accuracy and precision was completely botched and leaves the reader totally confused and tragically misinformed. It's not even close to the correct answer. There was also a suspicious lack of understanding of food born illness. As a professional cook I have taken state mandated classes/tests on food born illness and this book does not line up with what I've been taught. In the book's defense, it's not really about food science, but perhaps then the author should have stuck more closely to utensils and gadgets and left the science to a sharper mind. Negative comments aside, I would recommend this book to cooks or foodies. It's informative on most subjects and the writing is tolerable enough to make it through the whole thing.

Vater Percussion Pro Rock Nylon Tip
Vater Percussion Pro Rock Nylon Tip
Price: $9.99
10 used & new from $7.89

1.0 out of 5 stars Fake Rip-off Counterfeit Impostor Look-alikes., March 11, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These are not Vater sticks. I have played with the Vater Pro Rock for 6 years and these are clearly a different type of wood, a different nylon tip, and a slightly different font on the logo from the other dozens of pairs I own. Totally counterfeit. Buy from a real drum store, not Amazon if you want actual Vater sticks.

Real Vater Pro Rocks are made from a very smooth almost grainless Hickory. These were darker, rougher, and heavily grained.
Real Vater sticks have an opaque nylon tip. These have a translucent tip of a slightly different shape.
Real Vater sticks have thicker, more bold font on the logo. These have a thinner and, while similar, not exactly the same logo.

If you don't care what sticks you are getting, go ahead and buy these, but if you are interested in getting what you asked for, and have been using for years, this isn't it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fits, lightweight, easy., February 10, 2014

this works the way it is supposed to. Not a quick-draw sheath. Or a quick-put-away sheath by any means, but it doesn't add much weight and covers the blade adequately.

I would have rated 5 stars, but the mounting brackets came slightly bent and had to be adjusted before the thing would mount to my truck. This was extremely difficult due to the fact that when you are lining up the brackets to the holes, it all happens inside the wall of the bed. You have to go by feel and intuition. There is no way to see what you are trying to aim for. Once the brackets were properly adjusted, it slid right in and lit up perfectly.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cool look, could hold on better, April 11, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This case looks awesome! It is also quite easy to hold and the buttons still work well under it. The only downside is that it slips off the iPod at the slightest provocation. This makes it really awkward to pull out of your pocket.... The case just falls off and stays in your pocket. The case edges also like to get under the screen protector and pry it up. It basically could have used about 2mm more material all the way around the screen and it would have been perfect.
