5.0 out of 5 stars Lee Wardlaw is genius, June 25, 2011
There are so many mediocre children's books out there, that those of us who find ourselves reading all of them are thrilled to encounter an educational, beautiful, interesting, and funny book like The Chair Where Bear Sits. It's imaginative without being ridden with inappropriate (according to the Montessori philosophy) levels of fantasy. It's poetic without being too repetitive. It's practical without being boring. I love this book!

2.0 out of 5 stars Adorable products. Poor packaging. Dishonest details., February 18, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The delicate and attractive box for Sophie was wrapped in only one piece of tiny-bubble wrap and it showed up quite damaged. The blanket had bright blue stitching around the edges, not neutral as is pictured. Luckily, Sophie (her plastic resilient little self) was intact, but crushed was the possibility of a perfect presentation on this key giraffe-themed baby shower gift. Earth Parents tells me that have corrected this shipping error and assures me that it will no longer happen. I would have appreciated an honest picture of what I was ordering, or at least a warning that colors on the blanket may vary.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfectly gentle and child-sized :), February 17, 2011

These lightweight maracas are beautiful and sophisticated enough for adults, yet manageable enough for small hands. One is higher-pitched than the other but they're about the same medium-low volume. The timbre produced by the natural wood is smooth and calming. My only complaint is that I wish they didn't each have a Basic Beat logo across the center (a detail I missed before ordering). A lovely gift for children from birth-100!

Ella is the best jazz singer ever and Cole Porter was certainly one of the best composers of his time. This is an amazing CD. Any jazz lover will adore it.
