1.0 out of 5 stars A WASTE OF MONEY, May 8, 2012
I love Nelson DeMille's fiction. He has incredible range and a wonderful sense of humor, but this short story is not worthy of his name. It would get, at best, a C- in a non-accredited Community College English course.

Mr. DeMille's readers deserve better, and he is capable of so much more. This story is so dreadfully lame that it has to be about "gettin' some that Kindle money."

Spend your $2 on cup of Starbucks instead.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ordinary people led by an extraordinary God, January 30, 2012
This review is from: A Big Life (Hardcover)
What if God whispered to you over coffee this morning, "I need you to give up everything and follow me. Now!" This is the amazing, inspirational journey of an ordinary, middle-class couple who were available and obedient to God's call on their lives. Peter Hone documents the startup of Big Life, a church planting ministry that, over the past nine years, has planted nearly 6,000 village churches in South East Asia and led nearly 100,000 to the Lord.

The Big Life equation: ordinary people + an extraordinary God = a whole new model for mission work overseas.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a blessing!, March 14, 2006
Regardless of what we have done in the past, no one is beyond the reach of our loving God! What a blessing it is to know that God loves ME (despite all my failures and all my faults)! Using John Newton's hymn "Amazing Grace" as his outline, Dr. Jeremiah explains how God lovingly extends an offer of grace to each and every sinner. Our choice is to accept His offer--or not.
