I have always found the bottom shoulders on PS3 controllers annoying, because without a lip on their bottom, during intense gameplay, your fingers easily slip off the lower shoulder buttons.

This product solves that problem completely. The extra lip they provide prevents your fingers from slipping off the lower shoulder buttons 100%. Not only that, they easily snap on and never fall off. If you want to remove them, they easily snap off too but they never accidentily snap off.

As an added bonus, you get the analog stick knob grip covers, and once again, they are easy to put on and take off but will not accidentally fall off. They provide needed extra grip for the convex knobs on the analog sticks.

Now that I am using this grip set, I simply can not imagine playing without them, they should have been standard on the original controller. The knob grips are a must for any game you use the analog sticks and he trigger grips are an absolute must have for any game requiring you to use the bottom shoulder buttons.

This review is from: PS3 Quad Dock (Video Game)
This charging dock does what it is supposed to do, it charges 4 PS3 controllers simultaneously. I tested it out with 4 PS3 Dual Shock Controllers. As with all charging docks, a little wiggling / figiting is required to line up the male mini USB charging port on the dock with the female mini USB charging port on the controller. I must note that it is very easy to set the controllers on the dock and took about 2-4 seconds to set each one.

I charged 4 controllers at once. 2 of the controllers I charged were fully drained, one was about half drained, and the other was about a quarter drained. When you set a controller on the dock, it lights up its corresponding LED light on the face of the unit. The 4 LEDs will be red while charging and then turn blue when the coresponding controller in the dock fully charged. In addition, if any controller on the dock is not fully charged and is charging, a red LED strip at the base of the unit lights up, once all of the controllers in the dock have fully charged, the red LED base light turns off leaving only the small LED lights on which will be blue as all the controllers in the dock are charged.

One thing I thought was strange is how the 4 LEDs on the face of the unit correspond to the 4 controllers in the dock. It is the exact opposite of what I thought it would be. The controller in the front slot on the dock lights up the LED on the far right of the face of the unit and the controller in the back slot on the dock lights up the LED on the far left of the face of the unit.

It should be noted that while a controller is connected to the dock, pushing the PS button on the controller will not turn on the PS3 system.

I love the sleek and compact design and think the LED base light is a nice colorful touch.

I am 100% satisfied with this controller. It has all the features of the official controller, is the same shape, uses the same mini USB charging port, and performs the same too yet at less than 1/2 the price.

There are only 2 things I have noticed that are different from the official controller.

1. With inactivity, it will turn off after a few minutes but not at the time you have set in the PS3 system settings. For example, in the system power settings, I set auto shut off for controllers to 10 minutes. With inactivity, the official controller will shut off at 10 minutes but this one will shut off in about 5 minutes. I don't mind this all as the controller reboots within seconds of pushing the PS /P3 button after it has automatically shut off.

2. The second thing is that you can see the LED light which indicates which player you are (1,2,3 , or 4) glowing inside the controller through the plastic of the controller casing. This in no way effects gameplay, nor is it distracting in any way. As a matter of fact, I like it and think its cool.

I used this controller for several hours (6 at least) playing Warp and BioShock Infinate and can say it holds its charge , is just as responsive as the official controller, and I did not experience any issues or problems with it.

Looking for a primary or secondary controller? Look no further!

5.0 out of 5 stars 10 / 10 A STUNNING MASTERPIECE IF YOU DON'T OWN A Wii U, BUY ONE NOW, November 28, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If you don't own a Nintendo Wii U Game Console yet ... RUN OUT AND BUY ONE NOW !!! This game alone will justify its purchase, but its not the only great game for the Wii U (Wii Fit U, Pikmin 3, Super Mario Bros U, Luigi U, Resident Evil Revelations, Zen Pinball 2, Nintendo Land, COD Black Ops 2, Assassin's Creed 3 & 4, Deus Ex Directors Edition, Runner 2, Edge, Puddle, Batman Arkham City Amored Edition, & Rayman Legends are some of my favorites not to mention it also plays Wii Games and Virtual Console games too.

Mario 3D World appeals to new comers and gaming veterans alike. Nintendo is the only company out there that has the unique ability to create games that appeal to everyone. Now that might seem like a simple statement but when you look at most games from other companies, they have a target market and generally only appeal to that demographic. Games made for kids simply do not hold the attention of adults and games made for adults are dropping the F Bomb and are inappropriate for kids.

How does this game appeal to everyone?

Graphically, it is stimulating for everyone. Nowhere does it even try to look realistic but it almost makes everyone else look like they got the whole HD thing wrong. How is that even possible? Well, it creates an environment which is entertaining and very visually stimulating for people of all ages causing them to smile, be shocked, and even laugh. It transports you to another world in a way that games that try to look realistic simply can not do. To put it mildly the game looks stunning and runs at 60 frames per second as smooth as silk even when you have 4 characters on the screen at once who have all multiplied themselves 5 times and are all throwing fireballs! That's 20 characters on the screen at one time all moving around and throwing fireballs! AMAZING and great fun too!

Variety .. There is so much variety in this game it is actually hard to believe. Interesting gameplay scenerios are thrown at you and you say wow, thats really neat, then the next level is copletely different and you must shift gears, then its on to something new! Too many games these days are the same level after level after level but in this game you have to adjust your thinking and play style depending on what it throws at you.

Gameplay - This game appeals to young or casual players in that the characters are easy to control and do not have complicated schemes and casual players can simply have the goal of getting to the flag pole and trying to stay alive. Veteran players on the other hand will seek out all the hidden goodies such as green stars, stamps, and secret areas. They will try to land on top of the flag pole to get a golden flag. Veterans will not rest until they have unlocked all the areas of the game and completed it 100%. Both styles of players will really enjoy themselves.

Power Ups ... folks there have never been so many different types of power ups in a single Mario Game before .... there are boatloads of old and new power ups in this game.

Multiplayer ... If you play this game with others either as cooperative or competitive, you will be satisfied. It is a much better experience than in previous games because of the isometric perspective. Each player has room to move about in a more open space now making multiplayer a joy to play. If you play competitively, you race to flag pole getting as many points as you can along the way and try to get there first and land at the highest point on the flag pole. If you do, you will earn a crown and will wear it in the next level you play. If you win the next level wearing the crown, you are awarded bonus points but watch out, others can try to physically steal your crown as you all race to the flag pole! Its a lot of laughs and great fun for everyone.

This game does not have the same difficulty as say Mario 3 or Lost Worlds but that broadens its appeal in my eyes. Its fun no matter how you play it ... casually or 100 percenting it. It will challenge those who want a challenge and those that don't can find ways around them.

The only people this game will not appeal to is someone who refuses to play it for some reason ... but if one of those types of people are sitting in the same room as someone who is playing it, just give them a few minutes, they will buckle down, and say do you have another contoller?

It is a sight to behold and will give you a real feel good feeling, it will shock you with its graphics, and it will make you smile, laugh, and even angry too. What more could you ask of a game?

5.0 out of 5 stars AN ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE MOTIVATOR WHICH TURNS Wii Fit U Into The Ultimate Fitness Hub, November 28, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Wii U Fit Meter (Video Game)
Once again, Nintendo hits the ball out of the park. I could not imagine using Wii Fit U without this device. It adds so much to the experience, without it, the program would feel like a mere shell of a game.

It is basically an activity meter and not merely a pedometer. You wear it on your waist all day either clipped onto your belt or pants or even your underwear if you don't want anyone to see it. It measures slightly under 2 inches in diameter and is slightly under a 1/4 inch thick, so its a small device. As you go throughout your day, it counts your steps, changes in elevation, intensity of your activity, how many calories you burned, it provides the time of day and temperature as well. It also displays your goal (how many calories you wish to burn in a day).

It is integrated into the Wii Fit U software and you can sync it with the game as many times in the day as you like - it knows what calories where already synced that day and will only sync new calories burned if you sync it more than once a day. There are fit meter challenges in the game based on the number of steps you have taken over time ... and you receive a new in game T Shirt for your Mii for each challenge you complete. You can view graphs of your daily activities and see how many cals you burned, if you were walking, running, doing light activity, or at rest, if you went up hill or down hill.

Because the game itself measures calories while you play it, you do not wear your Fit Meter while exercising in the game.

THE FIT METER IS AN OUTSTANDING MOTIVATOR !!! Knowing I am wearing it and that every step counts, I find myself walking more and even doing things like getting off the train 3 stops ahead of my house just to rack up some extra steps and increase my total calories burned in a day.

SIMPLY PUT, THIS IS MUST BUY ... without it, Wii Fit U seems pointless. With it, you are more motivated and it makes Wii Fit U your central hub for keeping track of calories burned what ever it is you are doing ... from taking a jog, walking, cleaning, dancing, being at work,
or to playing other exercise games .... just wear your Fit Meter then sync it up with Wii Fit U when ever you feel like it. The meter holds a little under a months worth of data so if you are going away on vacation, the meter has you covered there too, just sync it when you get home.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Own Feel Good Game With Great Graphics, Variety In Gameplay, and Story, November 28, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This game is a wonderful and charming game. It is mostly geared towards kids because it is not overly difficult. That being said, I still enjoyed every moment of it and at times was stumped trying to locate all the special gold crabs in each level.

This game is sure to make you smile with the witty captains mumblings, the great graphics, and the unusual amount of variety in gameplay. One minute you are doing hand to hand combat, the next sword fighting, the next piloting a plane, the next swimming, the next ridding a vehicle.

I fully enjoyed every aspect of this game and considering most games based on a movie are a flop, with this games top notch graphics, story, and gameplay, it only makes this game all the more enjoyable.

In my book this is a must own feel good game that is great for kids and for experienced gamers who will appreciate its graphical style, variety in gameplay, and tight controls.

If you are on the fence, just push the buy button, you will be glad you did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Wii Fit Board Cover and Great Price too, November 28, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This product is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something to cover my Wii Fit Board because I usually work out in black socks and the board itself has a slightly rough surface for traction which little lint balls from my socks adhere to. Sometimes it can be a pain to get the lint balls off and I find them distracting. With this cover, not only is the problem solved but also my feet feel more comfortable on it - it not only provides good traction but also cushion as well.

The product fits snugly onto the board and has not shifted or anything like that. I got the baby blue color and I just love it.

If you are looking for a Wii Fit Board cover, look no further, this product does the trick and its cheap too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does Exactly What It Should, August 16, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a nice charger for the Wii U Game Pad because it does not have a "Brick" in the middle of it like the one that comes with the system does and its cord is 10 feet long as opposed to 8 Feet long like the one that comes with the system.

It does what it should, it charges the Wii U Game Pad.

I have only given it 4 stars because if you are going to extend the length of charger cord beyond that of the original from 8 to 10 feet, doesn't it make sense to extend it a little more than 2 feet? Why not make it 15 feet long?

I wanted this extra cord because I wanted to keep my charging stand in one place and play in another.

I plug this cord in the outlet behind my couch and run it under the couch. I leave it plugged in and when not in use, I tuck it under the couch.

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST NINTENDO SYSTEM SINCE THE SNES, August 15, 2013
When the Wii U was released at the end of 2012, people complained that its interface was very, very slow and that there where not enough games for the system.

I just picked up my system, June 2013, and that was after Nintendo had released a patch to speed up its interface. I am happy to say that I have no complaints with regard to the time it takes to boot up and switch between applications.

One thing to note is that once you get the Wii U - set it up, and connect to the internet via WiFi, there is BIG DAY ONE UPDATE that needs to be installed ... expect to wait over an hour before this update is complete.

I got the Deluxe Model which is Black, has 32 GB internal memory, and comes with the game Nintendo Land, a charging dock for the Wii U Game Pad, and a cradle for the Wii U Game Pad as well. It cost $350.00, The basic set, which is white, costs $300.00 and does not come with a game or the cradle or charging dock for the Wii U Game Pad and it only has has 8 GB internal memory. Both models come with an HDMI cord - this is a first for a Nintendo System - HD gaming.

Both models have 4 USB ports and an SD card slot. Both models can use a USB external hard drive which has a plug (its own power source).

The Wii U is backwards compatible with the Wii ... any game you purchased on the Wii will work on the Wii U, retail or digital (you can transfer all of you content from the Wii to the Wii U and any games that are not currently on your Wii but you purchased digitally, can be downloaded to the Wii U. All of the controllers for the Wii are compatible with the Wii U.

The Game Pad

The game pad has a nice large touch screen on it, a stylus, dual analog sticks, a set of left and right shoulder buttons (Top L / R and lower Rz / Lz) , a D pad, a tv button (the pad can be used as remote control for you TV), a power button and a,b,x, and y buttons, in addition to headphone jack, a camera (facing you), a microphone, two speakers, an accessory jack, and a charging jack, there is also some type of Near Contact Reader on it as well but no games support that at the moment used to read information from cards or toys.

This is the most comfortable game pad I have ever used and I have been gaming since the days of Pong! It is not as heavy as you think it might be, its actually quite light. It is not a gimmick, it is an awesome and comfortable tool with no discernible lag between what you see on the pad and your TV.

So what can you do with it? You can play a game on (most games I have) while someone else uses the TV for something else. This is really a joy !!! It is also used a second screen within games .... for example, a character within a game calls you and the see the simulated video call on your pad. You may have a differnt perspective as others do while playing a muli-player game (one perspective on the TV another on the Pad). Instead of split screen, one person can see their perspective on the TV and you see yours on the pad. It can be used to manage your inventory in a game ... the possibilities of its uses are endless and exciting really.

The Game Pads Battery Life

Here is where a negative comes in but is easily corrected ..... I get about 2-3 hours of gaming off of a full charge with its screen set the highest brightness. That is a short time (especially if you forget to charge in between gaming sessions) so to compensate for this I picked up a 10 Foot Nyko Charge Adaptor (A plug in charger without a "Brick") that I plug in behind the couch and run it under the couch.

The internet browser

The internet browser is 1,0000 x better than I expected and has become my go to browser ... what a surprise !!!

External Hard Drive / Internal Memory / SD Card

I connected an external hard drive to the system to expand its memory and it works like a charm .... allowing me to download games instead of getting retail packaged games. This is a great optional feature. It runs smooth and there is no difference when playing a game that is on the external drive or internal drive in terms of lag or anything. When you turn on or off the Wii U System, it automatically turns on and off the External Hard Drive ( Nice Touch ! ) BE WARNED, once you hook up your external drive and use it for the system, it will erase the drives content and it will only be able to be used with the system ... sure you can reformat it to work with your PC again, but then you will lose all the Nintendo content on it and vise versa.

I should point out that if you plan on downloading new releases for Wii U, neither the Deluxe Black (32 G) or the Basic White (8 G) will be of much use really as newer games are starting to clock in at 10 or more GB.

If you plan on downloading just a few games from the eShop that date back to the 8 and 16 Bit era of gaming, you may be able to squeeze by without an external hard drive but even so, I say you should still go with the Black Deluxe Model.

If you only plan on buying games on disk, you can go with the Basic White Model.

SD Card - The SD card is only used to store games and game saves for games that you download for the Wii from the Wii Shop and you only need one once you use up all the space which the system already provides you with. I didn't need an SD card until after I had already downloaded 20 games onto the console.

Video Chat

You can video chat with your Miiverse friends using the Wii U Control Pads camera which faces you and microphone. The chat service is through Nintendo and not Skype or anything like that.

this is an online community and I enjoy it for several reasons .... you create a Mii (a graphic representation of yourself) and others do too, then you add them to your friends list and can video chat with them or send them notes. While playing a game you can pause the game, then post to that games community, you can attach an in game screen shot (at the point where you paused the game) and add a comment too that everyone in the community can see ... a neat feature. Unlike other gaming communities there are no curse words or people talking about your mother and such .... these types of comments do not make it to the community ... it is policed .. and that is refreshing really.

No one makes a better platformer or action adventure game than Nintendo (Super Mario & Zelda games) (and I also own the PS3 and PS Vita). Currently I am enjoying Super Mario Brothers Wii U, Luigi Wii U, Super Mario World (SNES Virtual Console Download), Bit Trip Runner 2, Toki Tori 2, Nano Assault Neo, Trine 2, Zen Pinball 2, Black Ops 2, and Pikmin 3 ... All of these games are very enjoyable ... and you simply will not find a Mario game on any other system! Great games are headed to the Wii U Very Soon - Super Mario World 3D, Mario Kart Wii U and Smash Brothers. In the distant future there will be a brand new Wii U Zelda Game, until then, Nintendo is releasing Wind Waker HD, a revamped Game Cube Game - but I never really cared for that particular title in the series.

3rd Party Software Support

Currently, there is not much 3rd Party Support for the Wii U ... to be honest, that does not bother me at all, I get Nintendo Systems for their 1st Party Games. Nintendo makes great games with excellent game play and if you have not played a Nintendo Game in a long time you may have forgotten what you are missing. It easy to dismiss Nintendo as Kidsy ... and get lost in the PS3 / PS4 / XBOX 360 / XBOX ONE mindset and hype ... but I assure you will love Nintendo Games today just as much as you did when you were a kid ... they are quality top notch games with unmatched gameplay ...

Conclusion - 4 1/2 out of 5 - Overall this really is a great system and is much better than I thought it would be, its family friendly, has great graphics, and its just downright fun fun fun ... I took away a half star for the battery life of the Wii U pad, but that is very easily corrected. Great games for this system are already out and more are on the way so if you considered picking it up - DO SO, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. In my opinion, it is the best system Nintendo has released since the SNES
