Broadcast Studio Microphone Boom Scissor Arm Suspension Stand Desk Table Universal Mic Mount DJ Radio Griffin
Broadcast Studio Microphone Boom Scissor Arm Suspension Stand Desk Table Universal Mic Mount DJ Radio Griffin
Offered by Ace Division Inc
Price: $24.95

5.0 out of 5 stars the quality of this boom is amazing. I'm using two, October 7, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
For the low price, the quality of this boom is amazing. I'm using two...one is holding an EV RE-27 mic and the other, an AT4040, with shock mount. There are no problems in supporting either. I am VERY happy with this purchase, especially since I could have spent $99 or more for a boom. It should be understood that these booms are probably meant for home studio use and NOT for the heavy-duty abuse experienced in radio stations. But for home use, the price is certainly right!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely the best dynamic mic for voice-overs, September 18, 2014
If you do voice-overs, I'm sure you've been told to stay away from dynamic mics...and that is good advice, in most cases. Apparently, the people preaching this philosophy have never used the RE27. The sound is amazing, and for voice work, it's several steps above the the RE20. I have an Audio-Technica, AT4040 AND the RE-27 in my studio (both run through the dbx 286s), and I use both, depending on the project. I will say this...there are audio book projects that I would never have landed had it not been for the RE27. It is smooth and bright (much brighter and more pronounced than the RE20), with a nice bottom end. This may be the closet thing to a condenser sound that I've experienced so far...except it won't pick up a gnat farting in the next room. The RE27 deserves its five-star rating. Ignore the blogs that degrade it...you'll never know how really good you can sound until you've experienced this mic.

3.0 out of 5 stars OK for a starter mic, but......, August 2, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Granted, this is a good entry-level mic, if it's your first condenser; however, it does not hold a candle to something like the Audio Technica AT4040. They're not even in the same league. If you are truly serious about recording (especially in the voice over field), you really need to spend the extra money for at least the A-T mic. I often wondered why no one has ever run a side-by side comparison of the two mics...now I know. The Blue Spark is fine if you want it for podcasts; but after I performed recorded audio checks of the two units, there's no doubt about it...the Spark is nothing compared to the AT4040. The sound of the latter mic is unbelievable. Like I said, this is pretty good starter mic; but if you already have something like the AT4040 (or better), by all means, keep it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding product from a great seller!, July 19, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Outstanding voice-over mic (and not as sensitive to room ambiance as some others); produces the pure sound of the voice and does it like other mics at three times the price. I had quick delivery and highly recommend this seller!

5.0 out of 5 stars Easily one the best books for those interested in doing voice-overs., July 18, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Easily one of the best books on the subject for those wanting to get into voice-over work. The author goes into much more detail than can be found in other books by "big name" VO artists. Kelly tells you how he did it, what he started with, and how he markets himself...AND he gives a GREAT source for those wanting to get into recording audio books. Do yourself a favor -- read this before you shell out more money for some of the other popular publications. If you want the "nitty-gritty" as to what you need and how to get started, THIS is the book you need to read. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best-kept secret in web design, July 4, 2014
This program is noting short of outstanding, and it delivers what it promises. It allows you to take the included templates and manipulate them into web pages that are original and eye-catching, with the user knowing anything about coding or HTML. It runs circles around Web Easy (even though WE does deliver on its promise that you can have a web page up and running without knowing anything about web design or coding...but...Web Easy does not allow you to manipulate graphics like Xara). It does help if the user knows something about graphic design, but even if you don't, you can still create an outstanding web page). Anyone who claims Xara is "buggy" probably didn't wait until the company verified him before making the program fully operational. I designed my own web page to the exact specifications that I wanted (including audio files) and, because of the creative nature of Xara, it looks completely original, eye-catching, and user-friendly. Unless you know coding and html, THIS is the program to get (now known as Wed Designer 10).

3.0 out of 5 stars A great book for someone who doesn't have the others, November 6, 2009
Not much to say, except -- if you have the other Cake Mix Doctor books, you do not need this one (unless you simply want to complete the library). It it mostly a rehash of the first two cake books...and the "low-fat" changes do NOT improve the recipes. Here's an example of a repeat: "Key Lime Cheesecake". The recipe is a repeat of the same one featured in "The Cake Mix Doctor Does Chocolate"...except it does not have a chocolate crust and pecans are added. The "lighter" version of "Darn Good Chocolate Cake" is NOT as good -- just stick with the original recipe. The change in the "Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars" is NOT for the better. For those of you who have made them (featured in the second Cake Mix Doctor book), the coconut is in the original recipe for a reason...it holds the chocolate filling together. Taking it out in the "revised" recipe is NOT an improvement. Apparently, the publisher wanted to squeeze another book out of the series, and did what Southern Living/Oxmoor House is infamous for -- printed a "new" book filled with recipes from other books in the same series. For those of you who have none of the Cake Mix Doctor books -- bypass this one and purchase the original "Cake Mix Doctor". It's the best and comes highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great movie; Great City, August 28, 2007
Pros: This is such a great movie, filmed in possibly the most unique city in America. If you know New Orleans, you'll realize how well the film makers captured it. The "accents" are a little over-the-top, but the acting is great, the music wonderful, and the story-line and directing top-notch. If you love anything NOLA, then get this movie. It'll become one of your favorites.

Cons: The color is a little washed out compared to the VHS version. I've got both and probably watch the VHS more than the DVD.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great re-release!, August 13, 2007
This review is from: Highway One (DVD Audio)
Pay no attention to the reviewer who gave this disk one star. If you read his review, you'll know that he had no idea what he was buying and that he was in no way familiar with the Mystic Moods Orchestra (probably too young to remember them). For those of you who remember the LPs (AND have a surround system), this may be the best from Mystic Moods. I would guess that more guys got "lucky" with this playing in the background than any other LP in their library. By the way, for those of you without a surround system, the LP is difficult to find, but IS available, for those who know where to look. I found a brand new copy (after buying the disk).

5.0 out of 5 stars Great to have it on DVD, July 15, 2007
This review is from: Stone Cold (DVD)
I got this jewel on VHS when it came out...now it's great to finally have it on DVD. I'm probably partial to this movie since I live in Little Rock, the city in which Stone Cold was filmed (that's the Arkansas state capitol during the final "blow-em-up" fight scenes). But still, it's not a bad action film at all. And there are so many local stories around here regarding the filming (especially from those who watched the chopper fly street level down Capitol Avenue). I just wished there were "extras" on the disc. What you get is just the movie, plus scene selections. Get this while you can...it's a great addition to your DVD collection (and fun to watch).
