This review is from: The Waltons: Season 4 (DVD)
What can I say? If you have seen it as a kid and liked it you will now LOVE it. Wish it would go on and on forever.
Best TV Series ever made in my opinion, closely followed by Little House on the Prairie.
Great family, morals and ideals.
Wonderful stories and wonderful acting. Great detail to costumes and house interiors, music, dancing...it is all there.
Hail The Waltons...and thankyou for giving it to us on DVD.

Great pilot of the series. I am so glad however that new actors were brought in for the series (namely the parents).
It was delightful to see the children from such a young age and it has been delightful watching them grow throughout the TV series.
Get this DVD if you love The Waltons, you will not regret it!!!

Love this book. The feel of the paper and the illustrations are divine. This is one that lived up to the reviews I read and I am so happy to have it.
Even though it is a children's book it is a treasure to me and looks great displayed in my sewing room.
Evokes feeling of a bygone era and brings back a lot of wonderful old memories spent in the sewing room with my mum and granny.
You will love it too!!

This was a well made book with good photos etc. It was not entirely visually appealing to me however and I felt a little let down. If I had seen it in the flesh prior to purchasing I would have left it. (One of the pitfalls with internet buying I suppose).
However, maybe I am not into the whole 'altered book' process and as such my comments may not be a good overall yardstick.

Lovely looking book for your coffee table or your sewing library. The cover gets you 'in' and there it keeps you. Good quality illustrations and photos. Makes me feel all red, white and blue and I am an Australian. I love American history and this book did not disappoint me. It was a great thrill to see photos of quilts with their actual makers. As a fellow patchwork and quilter I enjoyed it from cover to cover.

This is a lovely and well set out publication. The photos are good quality and there are a heap of good ideas (not patterns) for apron making. Some lovely old worlde charm type illustrations are included and that is why this is a feel good, warm and fuzzy type of book....you will not be disappointed with it.

This is a lovely book but not as good as i thought it would be. I have wanted it for over one year and now that I have it, realise I could live without it. The illustrations and overall appeal ie. colour, setout and feel are lacking. Not a really appealing book in my opinion. Overall it is a lack-lustre offering. Some good facts re: real life stories from the Civil War however.

WOW. The pictures were fantastic!! Makes you want to jump right back into history so that you could meet Laura and her family. Lovely illustrations and the layout was a joy to the eye!! Little House fans....if you cannot get to the museum in the USA...get this book...heck.....get it anyhow.

This paperback was great reading. It answered a lot of questions that I had and also filled in a lot of gaps. It made me wish that I was around when Laura was alive so that I could have written her a 'fan' letter. Remarkable woman as was her whole family. I now watch the DVD series with new eyes and more interest (if that was possible).
