5.0 out of 5 stars There is a reason all of the top chefs utilize All-Clad, December 2, 2014
The big difference between this level of cookware and what I use to utilize has yet to be fully understood. The even and consistent heat delivery, the ability for these to recover heat levels when adding in cooler liquids into a heated pan / pot, the solid construction, etc...there are so many facets that can only be understood after using them.

If your culinary skills are advanced and you haven't utilized All-Clad, well, this is one of the best introductory sets to purchase. You get what you pay for...kicking myself for not purchasing these years ago. Great cooking comes down to 3 words...attention to detail...using those 3 words with this set equals magic.

2.0 out of 5 stars Before you purchase the book, September 17, 2014
What I don't understand, or maybe Jordan didn't or couldn't divulge (due to legal issues with the FBI and SEC) were the makings of his empire. After reading this book (which is equivalent to listening to bar stories...bad ones at that), there seems to be no remorse or enlightening aspects to his years of insanity.

This book is really about drug abuse. If someone wants to know about Qualudes and other controlled substances, the author will detail you on and on and on and on and on until you are sick of his tale. Then, when you think that there is a growing up stage, a change in his character, some enlightenment to his years of chest pounding...he pulls to an abrupt end...more devoid than a Stephen King novel ending.

I can't tell if Jordan wants to impress the readers with his greed, drug habit or ego. Had he written another 20 pages that were self reflective, lessons learned or other redemptive qualities, then it might have made a cohesive story...I was left with a sense that the book was a roller coaster ride that has a brick wall in the middle of the ride. Or, maybe he doesn't like himself now and wants others to look at him with clenched teeth...I am sure that his psychiatrist wants to pop a couple of Ludes before every session with him.

The writing is excellent as this series explores events before Red Dragon. A compelling first series that has a remarkable fit and finish (sets, acting, actors, lighting, lens selection, music, editing, etc...I think the production on this series is on the level of House of Cards...which is a major accomplishment) Kudos to the team that put this together...exceptional work.

It lacked cohesion but then again the chapter on the fish prepping man was one of his best pieces I have witnessed from him. Love him / hate him...you must admit that his approach is one best appreciated with a few good cocktails and palate that is adventurous.

Definitely a guy I could power drink 4 shot martinis with while eating great food.

3.0 out of 5 stars Have used them, November 26, 2012

Just a heads up here. These plug into the game pad and to be specific, I don't play the game (Black Ops 2) on the pad...I use the wii-mote and nun-chuck to play. That being stated, the stereo headphones are only for voice chat...had expected to use them to hear everything.

Another item, the microphone is very sensitive and picks up anyone else talking in the room. Made for some strange listening as family members conversations were clearly heard...what I heard over the weekend was creepy to some degree.

If there is a patch in the works to change the headphones into listening to the actual game play, then these will be worth the purchase. Had envisioned using these at night and not waking anyone up...that hasn't been confirmed as of yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Treyarch did a great job, November 20, 2012
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This looks amazing on the Wii U...the way you load out your presets gives anyone the ability to load the perks to their game play advantage. Do we have campers? Yes, but I suspect that it is due to the fast paced game style...lots of close quarters with multiple places for someone to camp...lots of cool new additions to the game (target finder scopes, cool strike package call ins, guns that fire extremely fast and when upgraded to rapid fire empty a clip in about a second...scorpion rapid fire/extended clip...42 shot clip....1.5 seconds...uh...hello Mr. buzzsaw...the new FMG Akimbo.

It appears that this game was set up for run and gun gamers...which makes it fast paced / crazy maps with all kinds of hidden areas just waiting to be exploited by campers and snipers...tons of new gadgets to utilize as well...very fun to play

5.0 out of 5 stars Blops 2 -Wii U, November 20, 2012
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Aside from the lengthy downloads and updates...Nintendo must have initiated production on the units prior to finalizing code and OS items...past that. Black Ops 2 is a blast for the senses...sights and sounds...when you throw your fist grenade and see it blow up a car....awesome. The graphics are amazing...when you use ADS, the focus is in front of you and your peripheral gets fuzzy...just like in real life. Being able to use the wii-mote and nun chuck as my primary hand controllers and setting up the game pad to be an additional larger map in front of me....lots to process, fast paced gun games, new weapons...suggest you get it now or you will be Christmas blood for all of us who already have it.

Head up...the headbanger headphone/mic doesn't work on this...just ordered the turtle beach headset from amazon and looking forward to chatting with the clan...we will see most of you on Christmas day...think you will really enjoy the Wii U with Blops 2

4.0 out of 5 stars Efficiency and logic, June 17, 2011
For anyone who will utilize their ipad for more than casual email, gaming, reading, etc... This product should be given a serious consideration for your downstream applicational utilization. It not only protects your ipad when closed, it gives you a viable keyboard with numbers when you need to write reports (assuming that you remote access your work and home computers...which makes the ipad a really convenient device)

I honestly think that the PROS outweight the CONS on this device by a light year and after an extensive search for form and functionality...this thing just made the most logic. Have used it for a week around the office and home and noticed that guys in the office ditched their additional (combos) cases and keyboards after seeing and using this one and now utilize this keyboard case.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not a known star, but a respected Artist., November 11, 2010
This review is from: Jellycream (Audio CD)
I still am amazed to this day that DBHII has not broken out, but the industry has been in trouble for years and it is difficult to gain traction for many people. This Jellycream CD is an amazing body of work that has a myriad of tracks that will appeal most anyone who appreciates tasteful compositions paired with seasoned musicians. There is a pocket in these tracks that is so deep and heavy that makes it so inviting to Doyle's tone / texture and approach. This CD has always been in rotation at my house when we have get togethers and I can pick out musicians at the party when this one starts to play...musicians just stop talking and just zone into this music.

There are many musicians out there and some become stars (which does not imply talent), but the ones who have the real talent are refered to as artists of which Doyle has, and continues to be. I can give you Vegas odds that this CD will appeal to you regardless of what genre of music you prefer. That tone and touch Doyle lays is amazing...WOW.
