5.0 out of 5 stars Super durable...even with kids, October 27, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
NO idea how it plays as an actual ukulele, but this thing is durable! I really got it as a mini-guitar for my 2 year old. It has lasted over 2 years of being banged around, thrown, dragged, used as a hockey stick....cause, well, boys.... (now two). So I can't speak to how well it plays, but this thing can take a beating!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fits nicely. Sits high and instructions seemed dumbed down, September 5, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Fits nicely for the K&H cot. The canopy sits a little bit higher which blocks out mid-day sun better than a lower angle sun. Note that the instructions seemed dumbed down. They say to put the wire frame on and drape the canopy over it. The way the canopy was designed there are clearly holes by the bottom of each arm and along each rib of the canopy that were meant for the wire to be passed through to hold it better in place. It is marginally more difficult to setup this way, but I think it sits cleaner. Seems like they tried to make the instructions easier by skipping these steps in the instructions

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for FOODS only, June 18, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These gloves are much more comfortable and flexible than normal bbq gloves which I have found clumsy. However, you should ONLY use these on FOODS (e.g. flipping a chicken, rotating a butt or rack of ribs). However, if you touch anything metal (e.g. the grates, skewers, racks) you run the risk of burning the gloves. There is no information on what is the max temperature that should be used with these gloves (that would be useful) or warnings about what not to touch. It does not happen fast enough to burn yourself, but it will melt the outer material and I have it crack at some locations. I give it a medium rating for it is good for some tasks, but additional warnings would be helpful.

1.0 out of 5 stars Erratic movement / clicking on mac, December 1, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Tried and returned two of these devices. Using on a mac and the mouse would move erratically and randomly click. The second one they sent me might have been a refurb as well as it had a red label on it and it looks like the seal was broken. Returned two of them...too bad as it was a good deal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting and quick read, April 26, 2008
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
A very interesting and quick read. The book is something that you can just pick up and flip to a random page for some quick reading. It's laid out more like a Q&A than a long narrative (as others have mentioned). Lots of interesting information and written very much like having a casual conversation with a knowledgeable person (as opposed to a long boring lecture). Seems to hit the highlights in response rather than go into too much depth on any one topic. A quick and funny read!

Cons: Something about that smiling dog on the cover freaks me out....

4.0 out of 5 stars Good lawncare tools for a small yard, April 26, 2008
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
All in all this is a decent collection of tools for a small yard (where lawns are measured in square feet, instead of acres....)

Hedge Trimmer: This was a replacement for a electric (corded) hedge trimmer. And a good tool. It has a good amount of power to cut through my hedges and does a nice job. My old one didn't seem to cut through more than just rip. This one does pretty well. I also have a pole (corded) hedge trimmer for tall ones. This one does feel like it has less power, but the convenience makes up for it.

String Trimmer/Edger: Coming from a gas string trimmer, this has considerably less power to get through thick grass, but all in all it's pretty good. I almost return this whole set because this piece wasn't cutting anything. TIP: check your spool of string. The way mine was wrung, there was no way that it would auto-extend itself. I had to open it up and pull it loose. After that, it worked pretty well. WAY less vibration than a gas string trimmer (which made my hands numb after working for a while). You lose some in power but the convenience is nice.

Hard Broom Sweep: This is probably the weakest piece in this set. When they say broom sweep, they really mean it. If you couldn't clean it with a broom, this thing won't blow it. Relatively low velocity output. It's not bad as a quick way to blow off a deck, garage or driveway with some loose dirt or DRY leaves on it, but don't expect much more from this. Not the real reason I got this set, it was more of a bonus.
