1.0 out of 5 stars Inaccurate product image. Read this before ordering., May 25, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The image used to show the mount is inaccurate. It shows a flat mount plate attached to the pool rail, into which the upright receiver then slides. This is not how the unit that you will receive is actually constructed. The upright receiver actually bolts directly into the pool rail, This means it is not removable, resulting in a flat mount left behind. If you use a pool cover this is important because it means that you the pool cover will have to go over those upright receivers.

2.0 out of 5 stars Dry and not thorough enough, April 29, 2015
This book does cover the period, but it doesn't do so in an engaging way. The narrative, even of the most interesting passages, is dry and impassive. It also is non-sequitur. More than once a new character is introduced without any kind of background, as if the reader is already deeply familiar with them. In general, the reader will be familiar with one of the three countries covered, so anyone who knows all three well enough to follow these passages will probably not need this book anyway. This would be better told as a more continuous narrative where the personages and their lineages are followed more continuously.

1.0 out of 5 stars which makes them useless in any application other than straight up and down, April 3, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These are not well designed. A G9 bulb should fit by friction. The electrodes on these are too thin so they fit by gravity, which makes them useless in any application other than straight up and down. They will fall out in most applications. Even in straight up and down applications they jiggle and flicker. Second, the onboard transformer is loud. For a single bulb it may be something you will be willing to accept, but I think it is not acceptable. If you have more than eight in your application they get loud.

4.0 out of 5 stars More about leadership than the army, March 22, 2015
This book makes some very good, basic points about good leadership, backed up by many many examples spanning 70 years. If you read it just for those it is worth it. It's also a good explanation of why the US succeeded in Germany, but largely failed in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

The one flaw it has is that it is very opinionated. If you agree with the opinions, it probably doesn't bother you. If you disagree that Marshall was likely the best general in American history, that McArthur was a pompous blowhard, and that Taylor, Ridgeway, and Franks were utter failures who each got thousands of American kids killed, not to mention hundreds of thousands of civilians, then you will either change your mind or throw the book away in disgust.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very nearly perfect, November 20, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
By far the best of these cases I've tried. First, the obvious: it has three card slots, and the pocket behind the flap is just big enough to hold US currency folded in two. That's great, and different from most of the rest of the competition.

Second, they thought enough to put the magnetic connector on the cover, not on the back. The result is that the magnet is behind the phone, not right on top of the mag strip on the credit cards. That means that unlike the other cases like this, this one won't destroy your credit cards by demagnetizing them.

It also has a wide enough camera hole to not destroy your pictures. I took both flash and non-flash shots with and without the case, and you can't tell the difference. That's a huge improvement over a couple of other cases I've tried that cause all your pictures to be washed out.

Finally, it actually fits in my dock! The case is short enough under the phone to not interfere with docking stations.

I have only three nit picks with this. First, I would really like to see it thinner. There is no reason to have the two layers of leather on the back cover. It could be made a millimeter or so thinner, which would count for a lot with this type of case.

Second, there is no stand functionality. Unlike several other cases you can't use this one to stand your phone up to watch movies or use it in landscape mode.

Third, the plastic insert that holds the phone have thin plastic strips that go above the buttons on the phone. That makes it much more complicated to insert the phone, and you really don't want to remove it for fear of breaking either the strips or the buttons. The phone sits just as securely in the case without these strips, and with a file it takes only minutes to remove them. However, you shouldn't have to do that yourself.

1.0 out of 5 stars The curve of this unit is narrow toward the back ..., November 11, 2014
The curve of this unit is narrow toward the back. If your mouth is narrow then I suppose it will fit ok but if not it will pull itself off. There are no side or front channels to hold it in place if that happens so if your back teeth are a bit farther apart than this is made for it will not stay in place.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't get this if you plan on using your phone with a docking station., October 11, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Well made and solid case, but as with so many of these types of cases it completely precludes you from using a docking station. Cables work fine but the case protrudes too far below the phone to use it in a docking station. You also won't want to remove the phone from the case on a daily basis because the holder is hard plastic, and it seems really hard on the buttons to do that. This design could be substantially improved by making the interior holder a bit softer and making the cutouts for the buttons go all the way to the edge. That way it would protect the buttons while putting the phone in the case and taking it out.

The case has one other partial flaw. It is just slightly too narrow to hold bills. The product images do show it with U.S. Currency in it but when you fold the bills in half, which you must since the case isn't long enough to hold them otherwise, the bills protrude into the spine, making the case hard to close and impossible to keep closed. The only solution is to carry no more than two or max three bills. If the case were two millimeters wider this wouldn't be a problem.

I can also corroborate the reports that this case causes the flash to be washed out. In fact, I would go so far as to say this case makes the flash unusable. It creates a washed out haze on the entire picture.

Finally, the strap needs work. It is attached to the part that holds the phone, and folds over the part where the cards is, attaching right over the magnetic strip if you put the cards in the wrong way. It does come with a warning but this really is a design flaw. If the strap went the other way this would not be an issue.

The idea here is good. I love the wallet concept. But this execution is too flawed. It's not worth the money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not sure how it is "comfort soft", June 15, 2014
These are advertised as "comfort soft". It's unclear why. The seam is made out of something that feels like coarse sand paper. After a day I had a red rash around my waist. I then laundered all five pairs to see if that helped. Fifteen minutes into wearing them for a second time I threw away all five pairs. They feel like those coarse underwear religious sects used to wear to punish themselves.

1.0 out of 5 stars Partial success, May 10, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These batteries were a partial success. One of them worked upon arrival. The other was dead even as it came out of the box. The one that worked was flawless for about three or four charges, as long as by "flawless" we mean "lasts about half as long as the Nikon batteries. After four charges, it died too.

The charger never worked. It wouldn't charge the original Nikon batter ever, and after two charges it stopped charging the knock-off too.
