3.0 out of 5 stars Works OK but will crack over time, April 3, 2014
Purchased these over five years ago. They have worked out well for carrying my Ocean Kayak 2XL. Typically we use these in the summer but recently began using them in the winter and I think that is what did them in. They ended up cracking on the back near the bottom strap slot. Fortunately they did not split through and we made it home without leaving a kayak on the freeway. These holders have always done the job but I like the J style holders better.

The biggest draw back or concern is that with a heavier kayak they lay back fairly far making you pucker a bit every time you load the kayak.

Product worked as expected but did ultimately fail as expected as well.

2.0 out of 5 stars Meh - Significant design flaws, January 20, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was quite excited to get a new pair of headphones. For the past 7 years I have been using a Sennheiser HD 570. After many years of service they have finally fallen apart. I was expecting that these headphones, being close frames, would blocking ambient noise however I was disappointed to find out that they are not very effective at this. Adding to my disappointment inside of the fabric ear cup is not that large or deep. Unless you have small flat ears these will partially compress your ear in uncomfortable ways. At 1.5" tall x 1.75" wide x 0.75" deep they are certainly wide enough but not tall enough. The inside of the headphone with a depth of .75" is difficult. Since the inside is flat and not angled your ears are being pressed on constantly.

Yes the headphones work. They do what they are designed for HOWEVER they are not comfortable at all. After wearing them for less than an hour my ears hurt and I am getting a headache.

1.0 out of 5 stars Soft foam loses shape, January 7, 2014
Purchased this at Big-5 when it was on sale. The foam has lost its round and is now indented in the center where I roll on it. The roller was great for the first use or two but now is out of round and indented on the center. Bought a j-Fit roller and it is made from an expanded styrene vs expanded foam which seems to be better.

Easy to use and install. Not a direct replacement but close enough to get the job done. Worked well for me however slight delays in solenoid when compared to the part being replaced.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect sharpener, November 5, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
best pencil sharpener out there. sharpens pencils to needle point in seconds. Having a self-advance feature gets rid of pesky mounting issues that you run into with suction or other mounting options since you have both hands free. Also prevents wasted pencils when you are sharpening to less than needle point as it has a self stop feature.

Perfect for stretching those muscles. Enough balls for the office, car, home and to still have some to give away. The price is good as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars More than just a bar, November 5, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Yes it is just a piece of aluminum with holes in it but it is perfect and comes with everything you need to make a Jig. Made a sled for my project in less than 30 minutes with this tool. Before you mount it use the included spacers and take up the slop first. adjusting slop after will be tedious.

Dark Space (Book 3): Origin
Price: $2.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Unpredictable and enjoyable, November 5, 2013
Wow. This book starts out in the same vein of the others. Throughout the book, which is a great length, there are many twists and turns. I had NO foresight into the paths that this book would take. The plot is great and the writing is superb. Jasper is able to keep things going quite well. There were some distractions in that where one chapter ends another starts .... 10 minutes ago / 1 hour ago... While I understand what is going on it is a bit difficult in some places.

Great book, Amazing plot, Cannot wait for #4.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than the first installment, September 19, 2013
Book two is as good as if not better than the first installment. The story was not entirely predictable. At times the I thought it would go left when instead it went right. The plot is interesting and makes me want more. This story is much like the David Birkenhead series where you are rooting for the underdog. The idea that humans are not the best out there is refreshing. Many of the space operas focus on us winning, not this one.
