4.0 out of 5 stars Lasted just a month, May 28, 2016
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Update: My watch ended up turning back on for some reason and the seller offered to replace it as well, so I've adjusted the score accordingly.
----
When I got it it was fine, a little cheaply made and short on features, but just outside of the 1 month return period it went blank. It could be the battery but a watch battery is supposed to last for years, and to replace it would be almost half the price of the watch. I'm going to buy the non-knockoff version this time.

Does not work on the Wii's screws as advertised. Appears to be a size too small. I would've returned it if it wasn't so cheap.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good pair of games., April 5, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This time around, the GoW team decided to add a multiplayer mode, which is almost entirely separate from the single-player. The single-player is still a very solid, impressive adventure, but the main draw is the fun, engaging multiplayer which captures the spirit of the series while providing a new experience. It's sort of like a combination of MOBAs and Power Stone, with RPG elements, and it works nicely. I look forward to future updates which add more content.

5.0 out of 5 stars Spiderman 2 does what even a Spidey can't., July 13, 2004
Yes, for some reason they added popular stuff like bullet time, running on walls, and dodging bullets, which, with maybe the exception of dodging bullets (spider sense), seems to be just thrown in there. However, I like this game, because it really has the feeling of being a superhero, with the minor and major crimes to be stopped. Late in the game, though, the thugs suddenly start being able to block and dodge really well, which is annoying. They also got the GTA feeling (except you're a crimefighter instead of a criminal) with hidden tokens and extra missions like delivering pizza. It's fun to try and get everything, and just swinging and web-zipping is cool. The dialogue can also be good (Mysterio: "I am Mysterio!" Spidey: "Hmm, didn't I have Mysterios for breakfast?").

5.0 out of 5 stars The great video game epic, July 8, 2004
This review is from: Final Fantasy VII (Video Game)
Sure, the word "epic" is thrown around a lot on the back covers of games, but this game really is one. Of course, you can probably tell that from the fact that it's three discs long. From the great music to the excellent battle system to the plot with a depth rarely seen in video games to the wonderful graphics... okay, so the graphics aren't wonderful. In fact, they suck. The exception to the graphics comes in the fairly cool looking occasional movie scenes. Not being a huge RPG fan, I took the fairly direct route through the game. RPG extremists have a ton more to do, from raising chocobos to fighting that (expletive deleted) Ruby Weapon. Also, the special attacks are really cool. They range from fancy swordfighting techniques like cross-slash to a guy who turns into popular horror movie characters (a Jason imitation, complete with chainsaw, helped me defeat Safer Sephiroth) . Anyway, this is a great game that is worth more than twenty bucks, so get it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best game of all time!, July 3, 2004
Earlier this year, gamefaqs.com had a tounament style contest to determine the "best. game. ever." I was rooting for this game. Sadly, it was struck down in the semifinals by Final Fantasy VII (also highly recommended). I disagree with the results of this tournament. While FF7 may be the great modern video game epic, it doesn't have limitless replay value. SSBM does. The game's main focus is vs. mode, where you can battle your friends and/or the AI in matches which never get old. Other modes include adventure (platforming meets arcade fighter), classic (just the regular arcade mode with bonus games thrown in), all star (survival mode against all characters with limited health recovery), and event (interesting 1-player battles with unique objectives). There are an extraordinary number of characters (25, I think), and a lot of environmental-hazard filled stages, (about 30) mostly taken from Nintendo games, from Kraid's lair, which features a large boss from Metroid who slashes at the platform, causing it to rotate and tip characters off the screen, to a couple of F-Zero race tracks, where you must either dodge or stay on top of the raceships, to several moving levels, where you must keep up with the screen or fall to your probably non-grusome death (there is no blood or gore to speak of, despite the T rating. No drug, alchohal, or smoking use, suggestive themes, or adult situations (tm) either.)What is the only bad thing about this game? Well, I was going to say T rating, but I already covered that, so let's just say... no online play. I would be willing to pay $60.00 for this game, but now it's just 30 bucks. The best thirty bucks you've ever spent on a video game.*
*The best 20 bucks you've ever spent on a video game is the aforementioned Final Fantasy VII. Get that too, if possible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Robots fight each other. (Almost like in the intro!), June 24, 2004
Customizing stuff is, in general, a good thing for a video game. Whether it's just choosing armor in a standard RPG, or creating a character from scratch like in some wrestling games, it allows the player to be creative. In this game, creativity is used to blow stuff up. You can pick one of 34 robot types, then arm it with THREE weapons (the pod launches out of a backpack type thing). And shoes. Sure, there aren't that many types of shoes, but there are plenty of weapons. With tons of parts in each catagory (Body, guns, bombs, attack pods, and legs (shoes)), anyone can make their own unique gundam-esque warrior. My robot is a Splendor armed with an afterburner gun, geo trap bombs, and wall pods. Shoes? Ultimate type, if allowed. The AI makes it as fun in single player mode as it is in multiplayer. I would pay fifty dollars for this game. Well, no I wouldn't. I already have a copy.
P.S.
You may be interested in this game because of the cool preview you saw in Gamestop or wherever. This preview can be watched at any time if you buy this game, because it's the intro!

5.0 out of 5 stars An early review., December 2, 2003
This review is from: Final Fantasy VII (Video Game)
So far, I have only played this game for a little while. The graphics are pretty bad, but at least they have 3D battle animations, which can look quite cool. The game utilizes the very fun Active Time Battle system used in most Final Fantasy games, and even newer versions of RPG Maker. Basically, you waitt for a gauge to fill before attacking, casting spells, etc. One problem I have is the very obvious recycling of maps, such as the reactors, or nearly every room in the train tunnel being exactly the same. Then again, it's understandable, due to te amount of time it would take to program a 3 disk game if they didn't do that. Another plus is the main character, Cloud Strife, who is cool and a "bad@ss" (He actually explains controls to the tutorial people, not the other way around) So far, I am liking this game a lot, even though I'm new to Final Fantasy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blink-or-you'll-miss-it racing, Kirby style, November 3, 2003
This review is from: Kirby Air Ride (Video Game)
To be honest, when I bought this game, I was a bit doubtful. One-button controls didn't seem like all that great an idea, and I was considering buying F-zero instead. Nevertheless, I am a big fan of Kirby, having played most of his games, even weird spinoffs like Kirby's Dream Course, (basically Kirby Golf), so I decided on the less traditional game. I was glad I did. Lacking a storyline but not much else, this game leaves F-zero far behind in sheer variety of gameplay. If you get tired of the Normal Race and Time Attack modes, which each feature plenty of unlockables, you can compete in entirely separate top-view racing (I got used to the controls for this pretty quickly, considering). Also available is the vast City Trial, almost a game on its own, in which you race to boost your vehicle's attributes, such as speed, steering, etc., then battle in a random multiplayer contest. It will take any player a long time to complete every objective of this game, so even without other players it is extremely fun. One thing is for sure: If this is meant for kids, they must be kids who have really good reflexes.

And you thought that Wario was fat, greedy and stupid. Ok, so Wario IS fat, greedy, and stupid, (and lazy, too), but those faults didn't stop him from creating one of the best GBA games ever! This action-packed collection of more than 200 5-second games combines the massive minigame variety of Mario Party with the high-speed rythmic fun of Bop It. From skateboarding to nosepicking, from spaceship shooters to swatting flies, Wario has something for everyone (Not to mention the 1 GBA multiplayer games). And best of all, he gets to make a ton of money!
