Really wish the CD was the same as the DVD, as there are parts (songs) missing I really would like to hear while in the car. Also, CD is shorter than DVD. This would be solved if it were the same. Glad they chose to keep Careless Memories on there, as this is a great song and great version of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars More than Fluff!, February 6, 2006
This review is from: Temporary Insanity (Paperback)
The main character Alice is a struggling actress in New York City. Between auditions she has taken on temp jobs to make ends meet. She is hired at the law firm of Newter & Spade to paraphrase and sum up legal documents. The first day she has already made an impression on her female boss and a male lawyer trying to make partner at the firm. Two people, two different impressions. Alice is caught up in a drama that she didn't know she was starring in or even auditioning for the part, both professionally and personally.

She and her two friends, who are also wannabe actors from college, are getting frustrated that their passion and dreams of acting seems to be stepping from their grasp.

I found this book comforting in the fact that even in this quai-fictional book, life at times can just plain stink and there is now way to map life out.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Minor Indiscretion made Major, February 6, 2006
The indiscretion of a kiss from the main character, Ali, with a younger guy, turns into a major ordeal. It also turns into a majorly long novel. The first mistake of her minor indiscretion was admitting it to her husband, Ed. He hasn't admitted to her the full fledged affair he previously had to his wife. The major characters, Ali, Ed, and Chrisitan the young lover are all stubborn, in the biggest way, their refusal to change.

When Ed decides he cannot handle Ali's minor indiscretion he throws her out. After a failed attempt to move in with her sister, she has only one place to turn, the young lad she shared a kiss with, and his flatmates. She soon finds out the emotions she was feeling in a trying time were lust not love with Christian. Christian refuses to grow up, giving her children drugs and being a squatter. Christian is not there for her when she needs him the most.

It takes a major health crisis for Ed and Ali to realize that they need each other.

This book is very long, but no matter which frustrations you have with all three main characters, one is compelled to read it until the end.

The Best Part
The Best Part
by Dot-t Dehmer
Edition: Paperback
6 used & new from $10.60

4.0 out of 5 stars Good book for the Very Young, January 19, 2006
This review is from: The Best Part (Paperback)
Mississippi author Dot-t Ehmer, has written a simple yet elegant book for the very young who have to face the reality of death. Dehmer's book, The Best Part, is appropriately named, as it explores such things as oysters, the sky, and many other beautiful objects that children find appealing. The Best part offers a great deal to readers through child-like ideas expressed in both text and color illustrations. this book explores the evolution of all things, including people. Additionally it explains how after one has left the earth, we still remain, through memories-"the best part."

The text is simple, but has a strong message. The illustrations are so vibrant one can nearly feel the energy from the page.

I would recommend it for children up to four dealing with death.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kenna Kicks the Sterotype of Everything..., May 2, 2005
Kenna Malloy is the black sheep of the Malloy family. She neither looks like them or is interested in the family business. The family business is hotels and her father manages to talk her into working there for at least six months to train her to be the vp. Her co-candiadate is not impressed at first. This book shows that first impressions *can* in fact be wrong.

The book has Kenna finally finding out what she wants to do with her life and who she wants to do it with. This was a quick fun read. This was my first flipside book and now I'm addicted to them!

1.0 out of 5 stars Yuck!, May 2, 2005
I was sent this title through RDI. I didn't get to it immeaditely and when I was calling to ask where I could send it back, I was told, we will credit you but we don't need it back. That should be a clue right there.

I read the same book Tina Avon did. Let me make a correction, I tried to read it. It disgusted me the main character was so self absorbed to a fault. She made a life getting high and cheating on her fiancee. I was not impressed. In fact I would give it a negative rating. I didn't finish this book nor would I try to. I'd rather be scrubbing my bathrooms then reading this trash.

5.0 out of 5 stars Davidson Does It Again., April 11, 2005
I read the Undead series and was hooked on Davidson's writing style. She is truly witty and comes up with the most unique and interesting circumstances.

Derik is a werewolf who lives with other werewolves. One of them is the known alphamale but as time passes Derik discovers his need to be an alpha male. One of the werewolves he lives with happens to be a psychic. Derik is sent away as a way to keep from fighting with the other alpha male. As well as to stop the reincarnation of Morgan LeFaye from destroying the world.

Would you believe you were the reincarnation of Morgan LeFaye? This book shows the humourous side of making sure the world doesn't end, if at all possible.

Must read for any fan of MJD.

4.0 out of 5 stars Actually 4!/2 Stars..., April 11, 2005
Jennifer Sturman's book read as though it weren't her first venture into writing. I picked up this book for a light read. It turned out to be much more entertaining than the expected fluff. I loved the mystery intertwined with the other aspects of the novel. I also figured out who did it but I was still wanting more. That was my main problem with the book, I was left wanting more after it ended. I hope Jennifer Sturman's next novel is available soon, because I will surely buy it!
