5.0 out of 5 stars Could Incubus be any better?, January 10, 1999
This review is from: Science (Audio CD)
Incubus is exactly the pinnacle Faith No More could never reach.
Hardcore, funk, hip-hop, dance and metal combine to bring you Incubus. S.c.i.e.n.c.e. is possibly the best cd to come out from a new bands in years. I like all sorts of music from jazz to hardcore to the Beatles, and Incubus is up there in my top 4-5 favorite bands. They combine the crazy style changes in each song reminiscent of Mr. Bungle or Primus and each song does something totally different. I have seen them 3 times in concert...and to say they are amazing is an understatement. The last time I saw them the lead singer had a sore throat so they played an instrumental set (most bands would have just left without thinking twice). A must buy for fans of the new-hardcore wave (i.e. deftones, KoRn, Downset, (hed)pe and others) but don't le the commonly-placed label throw you...these guys are different and a definite band to look out for.

4.0 out of 5 stars More than just a scientific genius..., December 17, 1998
This review is from: The World As I See It (Paperback)
Albert Einstein will always be remembered as one of the great minds of our time. But not too many people think of him as a great societal thinker as well. Albert delves into many touchy subjects in this book (having grown up during the most devastating era mankind has ever known).
The one downside to this book is that there are a few (only a few) passages where you really don't know who he is talking to, and little reference is given on these to help you, the reader, figure them out.
I was thoroughly impressed that this genius, mental marvel of the 20th century could convey his message so clearly in most of the essays and writings. He talks about religion, minorities, war, and other issues facing humaity today that are highly debated in all circles.
A good buy, a great mind.
