5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Source for All, April 9, 2000
Wow! Whether you are a witch, an herbalist, a druid enthusiast, or just an interested party, this book is incredibly thorough, interesting, and informative. It thoroughly explains the origins, uses (both medical and magical), and preparations of many herbs. Unlike many other herbals, this book freely discusses poisonous and intoxicating herbs, which is a blessing to those using herbs in magical work. It also covers the preparations (and uses) of tinctures, salves, poultices, teas, and other remedies. On top of all of this, you get a glimpse of the Druidic culture! I highly recommend this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Embracing the Yasmine, April 7, 2000
My problem with Yasmine is not so much her technique as her style. She has an irritating habit of beginning in facts and gradually escalating her point to a rather fanatic place (see her discussion of the pentagram's use). She makes the reader feel, "If I don't agree with Yasmine, I'm not cut out to be a witch." She's too egotistical, stringent, acerbic, and even dogmatic. I did find some useable information here (good exercises for energy and grounding), but I spent most of the read rolling my eyes.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Guide, November 2, 1999
As a newcomer to the mystical realm, I needed to be introduced to these practices not only practically, but spiritually. Sharman-Burke gently helps you send out probes to your subconcious and magical awareness, leading not only to greater self-knowledge, but excitement over the subject matter. This is a perfect introduction.
