2.0 out of 5 stars *Spoilers Ahead* Okay until a lackluster ending, August 1, 2014

*spoiler alert* So you know the plot. This comment is mainly for those who read the book. Here's my gripe:

Why didn't Cat just publicly announce she was Gregor's wife (she could have told him she would admit it if he made it clear she was his co-ruler, heir apparent)? Then she could have killed him in a duel of her own, there would be no threat of war, and she saves herself.

Instead we get the ending we got and the potential new war worried over in the middle.

Lastly, I really liked Bones...until this book. How is it he can blindfold Cat, doubt her at every turn, tell her nothing, get mad when she acts without all knowledge, and then throw a temper tantrum saying she treats him like a child?

Pretty sure this is the book that will stop me from reading on, unless someone has a good argument why Ms. Frost made these choices.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great, but not exactly as pictured, August 1, 2014
The size is exact in real life as on the chart. The colors are a little startling (why 2 screaming purply-pink and just 1 black? 2 navy and 1 red?).

I wouldn't say these offer any control, but on the plus side the band doesn't roll down, nor do they ride up.

However, my one main gripe is that the lace does not rest on your legs as in the picture, it sits in the crease between your pelvis and legs. So these are not boyshorts but classic panties with some lace trim.

My one compliment is they are very comfortable.

I am a 36DDD and was happy to find a demi bra in my size. Price was great!

I can't comment on durability or comfort because it wouldn't fit. The band size of 36 was right but the cups were ridiculously small.

I compared it to demi bras I have in DD and even 1 old one D and it was smaller. So compared it to my roommate's C cup and BINGO Felina's DDD is in reality a C.

So this is not a bra for busty or bigger girls, sorry gals, stick to cacique and other trusted brands aimed at bustier women.

Bought this for for a Dell Inspiron 1520 running Windows XP SP2. Ancient laptop has become a desktop for kids with a monitor and keyboard, needed to replace the mouse.

It didn't work, computer didn't recognize, spent 3 hours searching the web for drivers to no avail.

Then I accidentally knocked off my desk and it fell 3 feet straight down onto carpeting...and shattered.

You get what you pay for, so opt for a better mouse than P.O.S.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bought from Tampa-Laptops - Perfect Deal!, February 2, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The laptop arrived a day early and was in near-perfect condition (described as very good condition by Tampa_Laptops, it truly was), and packed perfectly. It's inexpensive, not that heavy, and performs wonderfully. I bought it with Windows XP SP3 (I like a stable OS so screw Vista, 7,8, or 9) and it came with good software. The powercord was in great condition, the battery has full life with each charge, and they included a system restore disk.

I installed my own preferred software with no problems. It does run a little warm when using flash applications such as some online games, but the fan works well. The speakers are good, the wifi and bluetooth work well, and I have yet to experience any problems. When it comes time to upgrade or purchase an additional computer I am checking out Tampa-Laptops again. I'd recommend this computer to anyone except gamers (who will need something a bit faster with better graphics) but for a college student, high school student, or working stiff this is an excellent choice.

2.0 out of 5 stars Angel Season 4 Redone, October 28, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This was my first read by Ms. Frost and I found it at first to be a good try at a mediocre novel. Typical vampire quasi-romance, entertaining, easy to digest, amusing.

But then I saw the TV show "Angel" particularly season 4. You know...the one where Gwen the girl hit by lightning and now electrical and dangerous to all those around her discovers she can touch a vampire without hurting him and a quasi-romance ensues?

There are just too many similarities, and clearly Ms. Frost either willingly or unknowingly (hah) stole the premise and then twisted her own story from it. The problem is the story she spun from the premise is a weak mystery, a barely-there romance, and a pitiful coming-of-age. Other than vampires, there is nothing to define a genre.

If you want good vampire fiction...well, stop reading vampire fiction, almost none of it is good. But if you want better-than-this vampiric romance, read Sherrilyn Kenyon, or if you want actually good supernatural urban fantasy fiction read Kim Harrison.

If you really enjoyed all the crappy teen vampire books that came out in the wake of Twilight and want to read basically the same thing but with a few scenes of sex thrown in, this'll do.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best B-Movie In A Long Time!, September 17, 2013
This review is from: Revamped (Amazon Instant Video)
Starting off dramatic, hold on. After the credits it turns hilarious. Lots of familiar faces, a decent B-movie plot, campy acting, and some seriously solid jokes make this a fun movie.

Seriously, you'll enjoy it if you like funny B-movies. Enjoy!

2.0 out of 5 stars *zzzzzzz* WTF? *zzzzzz*, September 17, 2013
This is a waste of your time. Let's just go over the basic good/bad points to keep this short:

GOOD:
Great acting
Great costumes
Good casting
Wonderful sets
Amazing makeup aging the actors - way better than "The Tudors" ever managed

BAD:
BORING as all Hell
Part 1 says nothing about politics and just follows Elizabeth I's personal life
Part 2 nothing happens and then the Earl of Essex shows us what a bi-polar earl back then would do...it's still boring
It says nothing about her rule, and the only 2 scenes about politics come not from reality, but are ripped off from the big "Elizabeth" movie

In short, if you care about history, skip. If you kinda care about history and like drama, see the movie "Elizabeth." Just skip this one, it's 4 hours of your life you'll never get back.

Still, hats off to the actors and the crew who did the best they could with this tripe. The writers should be beaten with wood reeds until they promise to never write anything again. PBS should be shamed for buying this up and broadcasting it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Meh...an overly affected play turned movie, September 12, 2013
I'm not sure why so many critics loved this film. The dialogue, like most modern plays, is so affected it's eye-crossingly overdone and boring. The acting is pretty good but the script...meh.

Al Pacino spouts nihilistic nonsense to sell land to a schlub, Jack Lemon whines, begs, and annoys his boss Kevin Spacey, The other actors do nothing but have lame conversations and act as red herrings, save Alec Baldwin. His Oscar winning 3 minutes on-screen are spent giving a speech frat boys who love Ayn Rand love to laud, but if you analyze it, it says nothing.

Salesmen competing with one another talk endlessly about nothing, curse, and overreact like children as they compete to win a Cadillac. Someone steals the "good" leads, but it's not who you think. The end. Seriously, that's the plot. Like any modern play, it's just internal conflict and no external, and it feels fake from the get-go and the dialogue comes off as the kind of smarmy crap a playwright would come up with.

Did you study theater and love to make people think you're smart? You'll enjoy this.
Did you gush all your love juices for Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead" and generally have your head in your rectum? You'll love this.
Do you like movies that tell a story, make you care about the characters and outcome? You'll hate this.

3.0 out of 5 stars An Inventive But Unintelligent Thriller, September 12, 2013
The idea behind this film is a good one: an expert on the side of the law goes bad for a good reason, but he knows all the tricks so how do you outsmart him?

There is good acting, the casting choices are excellent, but on the other hand there are too many just insanely stupid mistakes that pull you out of the story.

From the start they flash Sam Jackson's character is on the CPD yet apparently was called to North Chicago...a town in the county north of Cook County which is home to Chicago. I believe they meant Chicago North, which here in the Windy City is how it appears on newscasts, or we just say north side. In reality, we usually name the neighborhood. Okay, that's a simple, forgivable error probably because the writers have only ever spent a layover night at the O'Hare Hilton and that's the closest they got to Chicago.

There are many larger, glaring errors. One being that as large as Chicago is, I don't even know if our police department has a full-time negotiator on staff let alone two. If we do, it's just one, and chances are that is not hiss full time job. We just like to shoot people on the street here, hostage-taking is fairly rare. But a bigger error...the FBI has NO jurisdiction in local police affairs so their presence in the film is bizarre, and ultimately useless, what my friend calls a plot cactus: seems to present conflict for a moment, then nothing (it's like off-roading in the desert and hitting a small cactus).

The police procedure shown in almost every step of the film is not only completely wrong when compared to reality, but not even fitting with typical TV/movie tropes.

Also, I won't give any spoilers, but most of the "what just happened?" McGuffins that mark a good thriller are absent or horribly done. Pay attention to when you see the actor who play's Walter White's (of Breaking Bad) brother-in-law and you'll see what I mean.

If you're looking for a movie to kill time and you like Samuel L. Jackson and you can see this for free with Prime, go for it. If you have to pay, not worth it.
