4.0 out of 5 stars Good protection and nice fit, but literally rough around the edges, July 23, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This case fits well, doesn't add too much bulk (like OtterBox) and seems like it will protect the phone well, but I haven't dropped it yet. It is also easy to remove if you want to. It's nice that there are small bumps at the rear corners to keep the back from getting scratched up when you set it down. The screen and rear camera are also recessed enough to offer adequate protection. No problem using any of the buttons, heart rate sensor, or charging port. My one complaint is that all the edges of the black part of the case are somewhat "sharp"--like a fresh cut piece of wood that was never sanded--lending it an unpleasant feel in the hand. These edges will probably wear a bit over time, but a polishing process would have given it a better feel from the start.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great screen protector, but not exactly as pictured, July 23, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a very good glass screen, you can barely tell it's there. I haven't dropped it or tried to scratch it, but so far in normal use it has held up great. It doesn't show fingerprints any more than the regular screen. Installation instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the package includes both a cleaning cloth and tape strip to remove fine dust particles. I followed the instructions carefully and had no problem installing these screens on two Galaxy S5s. It's really amazing how it "absorbs" onto the screen once you lay it flat. Be careful to work in dust free environment (no fans/AC) and let the protector pivot down from one side so air doesn't get trapped.

One minor gripe is cosmetic: the cutout next to the front speaker (where your ear goes) extends to the right around the two small sensors on the front of the phone, similar to most of the other glass screen protectors available. I've uploaded a photo at http://bit.ly/1qAZzw4. I'm sure there's a reason for it, and it isn't really that noticeable, but it isn't quite what's pictured either where the cutout goes only around the microphone. The glass does cover the front camera in the top right corner of the phone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best product out there for cleaning chains and gears, July 23, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
It probably isn't very environmentally friendly, but this is a fantastic product for degreasing and cleaning bike chains and gears. It completely blasts away grease and grit and evaporates quickly to leave the chain clean and ready for fresh lube. Use only outdoors and make sure to lay out newspaper or rags to keep the drippings off your frame.

2.0 out of 5 stars Beware! Item not as shown!, July 23, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This may not be everyone's experience, but the item shipped was not what is shown. The bags in the picture are by Crucial Vacuum and have tapered bottoms and closure strips (the yellow strips at the top). However, the bags I received are by HomeCare, are untapered, and have no closures. I'm going back to the EnviroCare bags which do have closure strips.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for upholstery, not the best for carpeted stairs, July 23, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This little vacuum works fairly well for upholstery and the cord is very long so you don't have to move the plug constantly. However, I had hoped it would do a better job on our carpeted stairs. Note there is no rotating brush--this vacuum couples suction with a rubber tip for gathering up hair. It does work, but it can be tedious when you have to cover the same patch of carpet several times to really get the hair up, as is often the case. The "power paw" vacuum hose attachments do seem to work better, but every one I've tried quit working within a few months. Here are some pros and cons to consider for carpeted stairs:
Pet Hair Eraser
Pros: light weight, long cord
Cons: often requires multiple passes (slow), need to empty out hair frequently
Power Paw (hose attachment)
Pros: works very well, emptying infrequent
Cons: really noisy, not durable, requires you to lug the vacuum up every few steps
Regular Vacuum
Pros: works better and faster than the other options, quieter, emptying infrequent
Cons: it's really awkward and heavy to vacuum stairs

Note that none of the three does a good job getting into the corners of the steps--the vacuum hose is still the best bet there, although the crevice tool attachment for the pet hair eraser works reasonably well if you also ball up any matter hair with your fingers.

3.0 out of 5 stars Functional, but not sylish "shants", July 23, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These are decent pants for field work, light-weight, very packable, and quick-drying. However, stylish they are not. Now no one expects "shants" will ever win any style awards, but these in particular are tight in the thighs (compared to Columbia's standard hiking pants) and a little on the short side with the legs detached (several inches above the knee). Of course the fit will vary depending on your build, but in general I think they could be improved by being slightly roomier through the thighs, and by moving the zippers a little lower on the leg. Cargo pockets might also improve the look.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good minimalist case for traveling, July 23, 2014
This case fits the Sony Alpha NEX-6 well and the included USB SD card reader is a nice bonus. The case fits the camera body snugly, and with the 16-50mm kit lens attached there is about 1.5 inches remaining in the lens area where you could fit a pancake lens or spare battery. Some have complained that it is not possible to fit the camera in with a large zoom lens attached without removing the lens then reattaching it inside the case (which risks getting dust on the sensor), but there is a trick to it. If you turn the front of the case (the part where the camera body goes) inside out, you can slip the lens straight in and then flip the case back around the body of the camera--no lens detaching necessary. But it's true that a better design would allow the whole top of the case to open up for easy loading and unloading. The other minor design flaw is that the reverse sides of the metal snaps rub against the bottom of the camera and will eventually wear away the finish. This is easily corrected by placing a lens cloth over them or covering them with stick-on felt, but still annoying.

4.0 out of 5 stars No independent control for watering cycles, July 31, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have this timer hooked up to a drip system, and I'm generally very pleased with its operation. The programming isn't the most intuitive (you'll definitely be reading the instructions for this one), but once you set it up it's easy to change. I selected this model mainly because it has programming for several different cycles and reviewers say the battery life is excellent. So far through one season, I have no complaints on leaking, malfunction, or battery dying. I did use teflon tape on the male threaded connections as a precaution, and I've had no leaks at all.

The only real drawback for me is in the flexibility of the programming. Be aware that while you can set up to four start times per day and select a weekly schedule, you can not set different lengths for different watering cycles, or different cycles for different days. For example, you can have it water 15 minutes, each Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6am and 8pm, if you wish. But let's say you also want it to water on Sundays, but only once at 6am -- you can't do that. Each day you select in the weekly schedule will run the same cycles as every other day, and each cycle will be the same length as every other cycle. In my particular case I wanted it to run Mon, Wed, Fri for an hour, and Sundays for only 20 minutes, but that's also impossible. You could do Mon, Wed, Fri for an hour with no watering between Friday and the following Monday, or you could do Mon, Wed, Fri, and Sun for an hour, with back-to-back days Sunday and Monday. As it turns out, my garden doesn't care as much about precision as I do, and it's quite happy with four days a week.

So the controller works well, just be aware when you buy it that the timer cycles are not independent so you can't set different cycles on different days or different lengths for different cycles. You also can't make it run every other day or every third day or anything of the sort. For my purposes, I only thought I needed more precise control, so this model works fine.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great jacket, but order a size up, July 31, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My border collie (25" girth, 40 pounds) is right in the middle of the size ranges listed for medium (22"-29" girth, 20-50 lbs), so I ordered that size. Unfortunately, the velcro closures didn't come close to reaching around her--in fact I'd say they were a good 2-3 inches short for my dog. So if your dog is truly 22"-23" around, medium could fit, but otherwise it's literally a stretch. I reordered the large, and although it is a little big on her (especially around the neck), the straps are adjustable enough to give a good secure fit.

As for the performance of the jacket, I've only used it a few times but it seems to give my dog some added security in the water. She's a decent swimmer on her own, and she'd never turn down chasing a toy into the water, but the jacket helps keep her from getting so much water in her mouth and she's more willing to stay in the water longer. The orange color is a little brighter orange and less-yellowy than pictured, and I actually like it better than the picture. The combination of velcro and three buckles lends enough confidence to use the product without worrying about it coming off. I also like that the velcro strips run in opposite directions so it's very easy to fasten without lining it up perfectly, and the reflective strips on the sides are a nice touch. I can't speak to the durability after so little time, but it seems well-constructed.

All in all, great jacket, but they should rework the sizes listed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful invitations made easy, March 5, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These invitations are beautiful and very easy to format and print. The cardstock is thick and the finish has a nice sheen to it that stands out for a very distinctive look. The best part of this experience was the seller--Butinski designs really went above and beyond to be helpful and answer our questions. Thank you Lisa!
