3.0 out of 5 stars Live VH with Roth still Good, March 31, 2015
Ok ok, Yes I know Dave doesn't have the best voice but it's still Van Halen with David Lee Roth! But Dave never did great in concert (Go listen to some older bootlegs) The mix isn't too great either the drums aren't to thunderous. But I enjoyed the album, it has a great setlist. I know people will say Sammy was better, and true he is a better singer but not the showman Roth is. People remember Roth is 60 not 25, give him a break. Have you heard Paul Stanley, Ian Gillian, Axle Rose or Brian Johnson lately? They have lost a lot on their voices too.

4.0 out of 5 stars The last Candlemass is a winner, June 2, 2013
This review is from: Psalms for the Dead (Audio CD)
The latest album from doom legends Candlemass is a winner. With all the heaviness you would expect from the band. Prophet, Dancing in the Temple, and Black as time being the best tracks, though the whole album rocks. Robert Lowe does a fantastic job as usual, too bad it's his last as he left the band shortly after this. Glad that they put out such a great disc for their final album.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than the last album., October 9, 2012
This review is from: Monster (Audio CD)
Monster is a much better than Sonic Boom. It is great to have new material from them and not have to wait 10 years for it. The best songs are Genes "Wall of sound", "Back to the Stone age", and Paul's "Shout Mercy and "Last Chance". The other songs are pretty good to ok, Eric 's vocal on "All for the love of Rock n Roll" is very Peter like that you could almost hear him sing thus one. Tommy's outta this world has a good chorus but he can look or try to sound like it he is No ACE FREHLEY! I did enjoy this one though, good effort. KISS is still my favorite band ever, even if I don't agree with their career choices. Much thanks to Paul and Gene for keeping it going so long!

Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Doomsday Machine (Audio CD)
Arch Enemy is fast becoming one of my favorites of this genre, Doomsday Machine kicks onto high gear with incredible music and vocals. It took awhile to get into them but sure worth it. Going to get more from this talented band in the future(you should too)!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!!, January 30, 2011
After a some very good supergroups over the last few years (Chickenfoot and Them Crooked Vultures) comes the best one yet! Black Country Communion has the feel of classic Led Zep and Coverdale era Deep Purple. Solid songs great arrangements and pure rock riffs.I'm not saying a retro feel because it's refreshing to hear a truly talented band making REAL music after so much crap by a bunch of no talents. One of the most enjoyable albums I have heard in the last 10 years!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not a fan of Black Metal, This one is different, April 6, 2010
The only so called Black metal I listen too is old school Venom,Celtic Frost and Bathory, but this album by Immortal seems old school and they can actually play well. Immortal seem too be a band with more too offer than just blast beats and satanic spewings. Just a good Heavy metal album.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I was expecting, April 6, 2010
This DVD is not what I was expecting at all. Some Death metal bands are represented but not nearly enough. Too much Black metal for a Death metal Documentary, i just don't see the point of it,You have inerviews from Mayhem,Cradle of Filth among others. No talk about Death or Obituary or any other main bands save for Cannibal Corpse and a little by Immoltion. Very cheaply made too, pass on this one. The short movie also included is a load of very tasteless and stupid crap.

5.0 out of 5 stars ACE IS BACK!!!, September 17, 2009
This review is from: Anomaly (Audio CD)
Ace has FINALLY put out his best album since 1978. The album is vintage Ace with a little new tricks thrown in. The packaging it self is a great throwback to his first solo album. The music is top notch, and proves that Ace Frehley was the soul of KISS. I don't want to say too much, just get it, listen and be AMAZED!! "ACE IS BACK AND HE TOLD YOU SO"

4.0 out of 5 stars A Breath of Fresh Air, September 14, 2008
This review is from: Death Magnetic (Audio CD)
Well finally Metallica return to metal with their heaviest since "JUSTICE". If the fans are still looking for "KILL 'EM ALL" or "MASTER OF PUPPETS", then this one is not it either. THose days unfortunatly died with Cliff Burton. But the album rocks in a big way, all but two songs are really heavy in nature. Metallica are back in great form, so do not miss out. Plus it is great to see the original logo back as well. Enjoy!!!
