5.0 out of 5 stars True to life., August 30, 2012
This review is from: Following Tommy (Paperback)
Hartley really captures the feel of early sixties Chicago, working class white culture and the political corruption of the time all layered on the racial violence that was all too prevalent. I grew up in a working class Chicago neighborhood, and Following Tommy is the most accurate telling of that world that I have read.

4.0 out of 5 stars RST 3 Piece Bistro Patio Set, June 14, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
We ordered the cafe table and chairs on Sunday, it was shipped Monday and arrived Wednesday, much sooner than we anticipated. Each item was very securely wrapped and arrived in good condition. The chairs and table are great! No assembly necessay, just unfold. The woven espresso color looks good and the chairs are sturdy and comfortable. Excellent service, delivery and quality. The price was very good. We would give this product five stars, but for one minor detail. The table top is supported by an underlying metal frame, but the disc directly under the woven covering is a heavy cardboard (not metal). Doesn't appear to be a problem unless you plan to put super heavy weight on the table, which we don't. Very satisfied customers!

5.0 out of 5 stars An Eye Opener, May 10, 2011
This review is from: The Authoritarians (Paperback)
Easy to read, yet full of rare insight. I have wondered for a while how the Tea-party could contain both hard right christians and libertarian fans of Ayn Rand. This book explains the nature of both RWAs (the followers) and Social Dominators (the leaders.) It is clear, concise, well argued and gives me faith that by 2012 they will destroy their own party. Those who critcize it fear the truth.
