4.0 out of 5 stars good strong collection, November 18, 2014
good overall selections for wedding songs and a good strong balance of songs that represent different eras and the tempos and feels. always cool to have a collection where it compliments.this is why old school slow jams meant so much because it reflects how the material spoke on so much more.

The Tears Of A Clown/Who's Gonna Take The Blame (VG 45 rpm)

5.0 out of 5 stars classic, November 16, 2014
incredible song where the melody and the story line and it moves the soul with the sad honesty. Smokey RObinson sang this song with so much sorrow and intensity and a manner of being vulnerable. loved the harmony and its own honesty. classic song. the song has so much going on.

one funky slow jam which feels so good to the soul and the vocals and the arrangements are top notch. the Players always produced some of the best easy to groove to jams which felt so cool to the ears. always dug this cut.

4.0 out of 5 stars good overview, November 12, 2014
good overview on one of the mount rushmore of female artists. i mean she truly changed the game and that is a understatement. Her voice is a instrument that changed the game period. now there are other better versions of said material featured here, elsewhere, however its always a must to have a turning point artist featured.a good reminder of her prime and peak time material and she is missed. ain't nobody out now in the female section touching her work. you got others pretending, however they ain't seeing her prime and peak.

2.0 out of 5 stars same same, November 12, 2014
This review is from: Man Against Machine (Audio CD)
he always knew how to sell the brand. run of the mill and middle of the road and doing things which work, however he never goes all the way musically. Garth brooks has had the country pop formula down pat for years and he is a good live act.however until he did the chris gaines alter ego thing, his style was working like a charm. he came back with a album as flat as a i hop pan cake and no rise. none of these songs stand out, however can Garth play ball in the new modern era of country pop? he will get his chance, however musically he still stuck in the 90's.

5.0 out of 5 stars very enlightening and on point, November 11, 2014
really to the point book which cuts to the chase and it works on all levels and it speaks directly without being heavy handed. it speaks from the twenty century to the twenty first century and it stays on point and the author makes it very informative and direct. this is the kind of book that needs to be read and given to people on the fence about how to further their education or going into a trade school or something. a great brief book that covers a whole lot of bases.

4.0 out of 5 stars good overview, November 9, 2014
This review is from: Best of Depeche Mode 1 (Audio CD)
good overview of a band who struck a strong chord with synth pop and made a name for themselves and it was cool and catchy. they had a good balance of Production and arrangements. songs still work. in some ways they were a pre cursor to cold play and i liked depeche mode because it wasn't rammed down the throat as cold play is. DM had a hybrid pop sound which felt modern for its time and yet it was within their own thing.
