1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap material, do not buy!, August 22, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have for year bought these kind of screen Canopies from a company called Swissgear. They lasted two whole summers usually around six months each, rain or shine and they cost around $169,-.
Now this year Wenzel took over this market segment and was described as the same as Swissgear (just quite a bit more expensive).
The bad news: they are anything but... Cheap metal construction, easily bendable, the roof material thin and not as waterproof as the original, the pieces did not fit as well. And after the first storm it gathered water in the roof which with its weight made the whole canopy collapse. With the metal poles bent and mingled there was no other alternative than to throw it away.
Very sad!

1.0 out of 5 stars not worth it, January 26, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Seeing that this so called city guide has about twice the amount of pages compared to its sister guide one could assume it contains twice the information. Unfortunately this is not the case.
The Nightlife edition has a chapter on places where the male traveler can find girls for the night, explaining what you can expect there in terms of "freelancers, bar girls and normal girls" and giving insight in how your random Khmer prostitute thinks. Oh, well. Then there is the completely superfluous but longish argument on how Western women in general do not understand the sex trade and how they look at Western men in company of an Asian woman (hint: they're all jealous!). Dude: in my experience the glances go towards the working girl and say: "Whatever this guy pays you - it is surely not enough to endure his ugly, sweaty presence." Very cute is the list of "bar terms" the reader should be aware of in order to be in the know (does "blow job" really mean something else anywhere else in the world?)
And then the booklet ends with the remaining 30% of it being ads for the other publications of the author (making him look like quite the expert in the field of living cheaply in SE Asia and enjoying the girls).
Conclusion: Not even the most desperate male traveler needs this publication.

2.0 out of 5 stars nothing special, January 26, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I should not have expected much seeing that this so called "city guide" only has around 50 pages but I wanted to give it a shot.
The information found in the guide is pretty superficial, the language is simple (plenty of German grammar mistakes), and it is not very up-to-date (really, there is only one shopping mall with a movie theatre? what about the city mall?). The "recommendations" of restaurants is just a sloppy list of names with little to no mention of what cuisine or why the place is even mentioned.
Then there is the strange chapter about the NGOs and how they waste the money that has been donated to them on expensive food and cars.
All in all the booklet has little useful information that exceeds what a short search on google or tripadvisor would have offered you.
In case you are interested in (similarly superficial) info about Phnom Penh's night life then do not buy this guide but the authors's guide book for the advanced traveler (fuer Fortgeschrittene) - all the information found in this piece is copied word for word into the other one, too.
Imho not worth the money.

3.0 out of 5 stars nice but too small, December 23, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Shipping for this item was fast and the case itself is pretty. Unfortunately it is a bit too small for the Panasonic Lumix camera for which it was suggested. The camera needs to be squeezed into the case and the magnetic clasp doesn't close anymore. Sad.

1.0 out of 5 stars Leakage, April 6, 2009

The kettle itself is pretty and worked well in the beginning. Unfortunately it started leaking pretty badly after just about five months of use. Couldn't determine what the problem was.

1.0 out of 5 stars Useless, March 17, 2009

The product was delivered fast. That is what the one star is for.
I have used the granules as directed but our squirrels are not impressed. They seem to even try the stuff and it doesn't deter them at all. The product has clearly not worked as promised.
