Like the book, not the cd, April 23, 2009
I have mixed feelings about this product. First and foremost I thought the book was excellent! I loved the way the author wrote (written as if I am talking to my baby) and it FULL Of an overall-good healthy feeling of well-being. The approach of the book was beautiful in every way with healthy, vegetarian suggestions within foods as well as nurturing, kind words that we should be speaking to our little one when we're pregnant. I've waited a long time for a book like this. I wouldn't necessary call this book a "meditative" book though, although it DOES explain how the baby is growing and shares with us the correct attitude to take to ensure a calm pregnancy.
The cd, however, I absolutely would not call a guided meditation. There was nothing "guided" about it. The author, who has a calm and nice voice, spent more time being SILENT and giving us time to do things on our own that I often felt like I could be doing the same thing without listening to the cd. For instance, she would say, "Go ahead and observe your breathing." And then there would be silence for literally 3 minutes. A flute would play. Then she'd come back and say, "Now go ahead and focus on your thoughts." And there would be SILENCE for 4 minutes. I was a little disappointed being an expert on meditation on hypnosis myself in her lack of guiding me through the process. She had maybe 4 sentences that were helpful and the rest, I swear, was silence. Silence? I didn't buy a cd for silence. I can be silent without a cd. That was my only true critique.
For the book, I'd give it 5 stars. For the cd, I'd give it 2 or 3 stars. Both together, I give the whole product an average of 4 stars (being that the book was really really helpful).
If you're a fan of pre-birth communication and want to learn how to talk to the baby, the book is a good start. I loved the author's writing style!

A must-have book on a desert island, March 6, 2009
I bought this book as a gift for someone and let's just say the minute he opened it, he responded with, "Oh WOW where did you find this?" He then proceeded to spend the next hour or two with his eyes engrossed in the book. I've never formally been introduced to comic books, so I'm actually a bit of a newbie when it comes to illustrative works in the comic world. All I can really do is relay how my friend (a big big fan) reacted to it. He loved it and said it was the best gift I could have given him and he plans to keep it as part of his core collection. He actually said that if he were stranded on a desert island, this would be one of five books he'd take with him. Browsing through the art myself, I can honestly say this would probably be the *one* book that got me REALLY liking comic books on a whole new level. It even had David Mack's work in it whom I deeply respect.

Stunning Biography!, January 17, 2008
This book about Tom Cruise goes in-depth into his childhood and the author went through great lengths to talk to Tom's classmates, teachers, neighbors, etc. There are obscure interviews (that in the past, Tom would prevent journalists from talking to them - even going as far as to sue them) that help explain why Tom is WHO is he today - everything from being beat up by bullies in school to his love life. This talks about his successes and failures both in love and career, but most importantly, it also discusses in impressive detail: scientology and how it affected Tom and the people around him in a very objective way.
As you all may know, Tom and his lawyers have had threatened numerous lawsuits to many newspapers and tabloids (when they discuss his alleged gay life, which Morton also talks about) and I was surprised that the author got away with all the things he said. I think Morton did an UNBELIEVABLE job being objective, speaking truthfully, and from the heart. At the time of this writing, Tom and his lawyers are already discussing a lawsuit against the author for simply speaking the truth. The only people who have claimed anything in this book are falsehoods are the scientologists themselves, and even that was greatly explained in this book because the author went through great lengths to protect himself by showing the previous history of what scientologists did to OTHER authors in the past. Oh yeah. It's quite the story!!!
I'd recommend this book to ANYONE who wants to know the real truth about what's going on with him. Tom holds superior power in the acting industry, and if he doesn't like something, he has many companies "in his pocket" if you know what I mean. The book also talks about the highly-controversial issue where Tom threatened not to promote the movie MI: 3 because Viacom owned Comedy Central and Tom was embarrassed that South Park was making fun of him (and scientologists).
This book discusses EVERYTHING and I do mean - EVERYTHING: his relationships to Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Katie Holmes, etc.... down the detail, including little notes he'd leave around the house for his love interests.
Read it while you can, before Tom threatens the publication house to stop the presses! This TELL-ALL book will answer every Tom-question you've ever wanted to know, including his personal issue against Brooke Shields.

Yuck, October 7, 2007
I love D&G but this perfume reeks and smells like insect repellent. Yes, it smells like lemons, but it has the "Pine Sol" smell. If you want that smell, then this is the perfume for you.
I was extremely disappointed with this.

Excellent on Blu-Ray, August 18, 2007
This Blu-Ray version is much better than the dvd. The clarity is SUPERB. It really doesn't do it justice to try to describe it. It's like trying to compare a steak to a hamburger. You just gotta watch it. By the way, I especially liked the behind-the-scenes making of the movie and seeing the clay puppets being put together frame by frame.

Great read!, August 12, 2007
This book was a true delight to read! This was so much more than just how two guys from college created a successful company. It was more than that. Those guys were turned away from Alta Vista, Excite, and Yahoo and had suffered disappointment after disappointment but never gave up. Their product (almost overnight) grew to be a massive empire once they got an investor to give $100k to their company. What I LOVED about this book was watching two easy-fun loving guys (who skateboard at their office in jeans and t-shirt) who continued to look to the future in the face of defeat. These guys never gave up and I, for one, was truly inspired after reading the book.
The back-story of how google came to be can be described as the underdog finally reaching the top and overtaking those who turned him down.

Well-explained, August 12, 2007
I am certified as a Time Line Therapy practitioner and this was one of the "required-reading" books I had to read as part of my course. I've read it from start to finish and practiced it on myself as well as on others. It's been claimed that Time Line Therapy is 100% effective but I'd have to disagree on that. In my experience, it's probably about 85% effective, which is still incredible. This type of therapy can "cure" phobias, ease anxiety, get rid of fear, guilt, anger, and sadness. What I LOVE is that it is extremely easy to do and this book explains how to do it. I really don't have any complaints about the therapy itself, which (in a nutshell) simply lets you see your life as though it's super small on a timeline and you're looking at it far away. That type of view allows you to see the "big picture" of your life and fix events in the past.
This therapy has, for me, gotten rid of negative emotions easily and effortlessly. I've performed this therapy for many clients and they, too, got rid of it as well. However, some things still seem to come back. For instance, I hate hearing the sound of people eating and it causes great discomfort for me. I used this therapy and for several days, I felt I was "cured" because I could tolerate people eating without feeling irritated. It's now been over a month and I'd say that I'm about 50% less-annoyed than I was before, but not completely and totally. According to the therapy, I simply need to "go back in time, before the incident - higher and further back than before" but no matter how high I get away from my timeline (so far the timeline practically disappears), I still get irritated. Anyway, that's my personal experience. Not sure if that helps any of you, but I thought I'd share that.
The book itself is well-written and easily explained. As a whole, this really can help people on a very deep level. My mom, who is usually angry all the time, magically released all her angry emotions from the past within just 10 minutes using this technique. To this day, she no longer feels the previous anger.
Great book and a fun read!

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!, August 12, 2007
I love it, I love it, I love it! From the very first page, I was hooked. This explains the reframing technique spawned by Virginia Satir and later tweaked by Richard Bandler and John Grinder. This book is great for NLP-lovers as well as regular people who want to learn how to phrase things correctly to allow others to see things DIFFERENTLY in life.
For instance: "This hotel is a dump and there's dust everywhere and paint chipped off the wall," can be reframed to be, "This hotel is a historical antique and it's been left the way it was a hundred years ago, isn't that amazing?"
Also, this explains how people miscommunicate based on interpretations of tonality. For instance, "Oh it's you again." If the emphasis is on the word "again" then people assume it's a negative statement. However, there's absolutely nothing that implies it being negative at all and can be a very positive statement when stated the same way.
Chapter two talks about "negotiating parts" that conflict and how to bring them together. Some people call it parts integration. This explains in detail how to fit it all together. For instance, "A part of me wants to do this, and a part of me wants to do that." This explains how to comfortably decide what needs to be done.
Reframing on page 14 -
Before: "I feel terrible because my boss always criticizes me."
Reframe: "He must really notice the work you do, and like you enough to want to help you improve it."
This book is REALLY a keeper. I love this book probably better than all my current NLP and hypnosis books.

Great hypnosis book to refer to, August 12, 2007
There is a great variety of types of inductions, many involving countdowns and relaxation techniques. I loved the section on "Embedding Meanings Inductions" as well reading stories about Ericksonian and other hypnosis pioneers. Everything you need to know about hypnosis is in this book. It's fantastic for hypnotists and psychologists of all levels and is a reference book worth keeping. The readability is VERY good and all topics are explained thoroughly and simply to avoid confusion. I love this very much!

Nice book, August 12, 2007
This is a lovely hypnosis book which covers all the basics of hypnosis, but lacks extra time to discuss phrasing of specific words. It discusses everything you need to know about hypnosis and is GREAT for beginners, but advanced hypnotists probably will skip many pages. Many things have been discussed in many other hypnosis books, so it was kind of like, "Been there, done that." But that's just me. If you're an ADVANCED hypnotist, this book may not really teach you new things. However, a book I'd recommend is: Handbook of Hypnotic Suggestions and Metaphors
