1.0 out of 5 stars Not what advertised, September 17, 2013
= Durability:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Cheap piece of junk. This product is NOT what is advertised. I would give it no stars for fraudulent advertising, but can't go lower than one star. Buyer Be Ware!!

What they advertise:
Dimensions: 24"
Construction: Cast Aluminum with Rubberized Backing
Carried: has a thick wooden handle for increased durability and an adjustable velcro strap for fitting
Battle Worn Appearance

What you get:
Very thin piece of plastic like a garbage can lid.
Construction: NO Aluminum or rubberized backing
No wooden handle or adjustable velcro strap. Just a piece of elastic waistband material held to the back of the shield by shiny tacks that show up on the front as shiny silver buttons.

If you don't mind it being a cheap piece of junk, search around and purchase the same looking shield that sells for $15 instead of the $44 that this one is being advertised for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Masterfully presented, August 14, 2013
This review is from: Art & Copy (Amazon Instant Video)
Excellent. This documentary carries a message that redeems much of what global advertising fails to do, which is mainly to connect us with something artful and truthful, something that joins us in the journey as opposed to assaulting us along the way. The individuals interviewed were thoughtful and subtle in their explorations and it took the greater part of the film for them to reveal the beliefs that drive them and some few others in their profession to success. I feel their message applies to whatever path one walks through life: if you wish to live a meaningful life and do meaningful work, you have to retain the courage continually to reconnect your life and work with creative and truthful intent. Thank you for this inspiring film!

5.0 out of 5 stars Discrepancies, April 1, 2011
In reading the posts, I noticed some had the same concerns as myself about the discrepancies between books. It took a while of snooping, but I found this posting on Dr. D'Adamo's website:

I hope this helps!

Here is the link: [...]

If you follow the link, it takes you to this information:

QUESTION: I am Type O, & purhcased both the supplement list & Eat Right 4 Your Type BUT I am finding differences in the food lists! Ex: list for vegetables says cabbage & sauerkraut are neutral, and avoid cukes; book says cukes are neutral, avoid cabbage, and doesn't list sauerkraut! Same problem with green peppers! Also many other contradictions! What am I to believe???

ANSWER: It is because you have entered the Twilight Zone.

Well, no. In reality different books are in different stages of upgrade or complexity. For example:
First book (Eat Right 4 Your Type) was a basic synthesis of the concept. It had to make some judgements regarding homogenizing information if it was secretor status specific. If a food was deemed a more serious avoid for a non secretor than it might be as a neutral or beneficial for a secretor, then the non-secretor value was used.

2. Second Book (Live Right 4 Your Type) had secretor status differences.
and a very small number of food value changes, reflecting the advances in basic scientific knowledge.

2. The 'little books' (Food and Beverage Guides) Are a mass market book, very simplified, with largely just secretor guidelines and with a few of the altered values included.
