I have to laugh at the one review for these dishes "I bought these dishes for my picky daughter & her husband. They loved them so much..." Ha! My wife and I are picky too and we love them - so if you're picky, I think these dishes are for YOU!

We have two sets now and almost always use these over our other stoneware. First, they are quality stoneware, not easy to chip and can be used to warm in the microwave or even oven. And the paint is consistent and holds up (over a year on our first set now).

Second, they are a bit different and "fresh" with their square shapes - even the mugs which may require you to stop and think the first few times you drink from it to avoid overflow.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't Play With Fire, January 12, 2015

This is one of those products that once you have it in your home, you wonder why every home kitchen doesn't have one. For some reason, I think we tend to think of this as a professional tool made for cranking out hundreds of pizzas per day.

After using this ONCE, we love it and won't ever reach into the oven again grabbing for pizzas, breads, rolls. We will probably use this to pull cookie sheets too.

Our first use though was classic - pizza off a pizza stone. No juggling - one hand on door, one hand on peel - bamm. I also would not hesitate to serve on this. We are going to start making our own homemade bread weekly so I imagine this peel is going to get quite the workout. But I'd get it for only the occasional pizza now that we'd tried it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great To Hide Small External Hard Drives, January 12, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought this with a few ideas in mind for it's use - mostly, my mindset is to de-clutter my home office/workspace a bit more. I run a pretty clean space anyway, but every few months there is something new and it adds both value and noise/clutter.

I tried this underneath both my 27" and my son's 21" for a keyboard tray - but that seems overkill. There is not much space underneath anyway and the keyboard tucks away nicely onto the stand foot anyway.

Which makes it not highly functional for a phone either in my view. For that, I went instead with Sinjimoru Aluminum Sync Stand which has a limited footprint.

What I DO love about this shelf product is using it for small USB3 hard-drives on the backside which gets my 4TB external hard drive up off the desk, out of sight (including the cable out of view) and THIS the reason I love this product.

The quality is superb. The product came with multiple clips allowing for mounts to front vs back of both 27" and 21" displays. It also includes 4 posts that attach vertically to the shelf for stability of taller/heavier items such as a laptop as shown in product images. So if you're not sure how you will use it and need flexibility, this kit is perfect and priced well.

****

With all of that said however, I find most of that to be overkill for a single purpose such as the one I discovered that works best for my needs - which of course, drives up the cost/price.

At $35, this is a price is a bit heavy for a shelf to hide a lightweight hard drive. I'm glad I have it - no doubt - I will throw the extra parts away/recycle. But the consumer is paying extra for 10 added parts (assorted clips/posts) that may not get used just to get the 3 added parts (2 clips for backmount 27" plus a skid mat) that will likely get use most often.

5.0 out of 5 stars Our 4.8L V8 That Couldn't Be Jump-Started from SUV - Started Immediately, January 12, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I don't normally RUSH out to review a product but this is one of those "crisis" products that is either bought in the middle of a problem or planning/seeking the prevention of future problems. In this case, our BMW with a 4.8L V8 engine in it is nearing it's battery life cycle and I've not been driving it much as I recover from two surgeries. So it has just been sitting without a recharge.

A month ago, the first time the battery died in the garage, no problem we jump-started the car with a 3-month old 6.2L V8 Cadillac Escalade. I'm not super tech but that seems like a great choice to jumpstart a smaller, but still large engine. And it did.

This time however, nothing. According to the BMW manual, I needed 12V to get started and the dash indicated (unlocked to show xx.xxx volts) indicated I was on the brink, teetering just over and just under connected to the Escalade.

We revved the source engine as suggested, let it sit and charge for a while as suggested. Nothing. Instead of having BMW come and tow the car because I was too tired to mess with it a month ago, I took a chance on this little jump starter from Wagan so we can drive it over and get a new battery installed.

I was actually looking for the similar Schumacher charger which a service/repair guy had shown me a few months ago. He just bragged how his new little Schumacher could jump start a V8.

No hint of his version on Amazon so I found this Wagan model instead. Like his Schumacher, this little brick is the same size as my cell phone, only thicker (maybe 4 smartphones thick).

A quick connect to the BMW jumper posts and the car instantly turned over and started. WOW. All that in this compact, portable package. Seriously, we carry a small phone charging brick while traveling and at Disney - this Wagan charger is not much larger or heavier. I'm a huge fan of this for PREVENTION now and we will order another immediately and probably even gift one to our full-time RV-ing parents.

***

As for the other features in this kit (outside the immediate need) - the multi-tip gadget charger is pretty slick. Old iPhone 30-pin, new iPhone lightening, USB, micro/universal phone/Android - all in one quick cord for those spontaneous needs. I'm not too much into the other DV adapters or have a need that I know of yet, but if I come across a use, I will update.

We bought this for our 9 year old daughter who just loves it and loves showing pride for Daddy's school/team. After a year it's still in mint condition and going strong. She hasn't lost her love for it and her books and princess toys work out perfectly for road-trips and sleepovers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Fun, Wild But Fun, October 21, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These things are fun and can fly unbelievable lengths which is REALLY fun if you throw it straight and accurate. If you get a wild throw as our kids sometimes do, be prepared to go on a hunt. We've had them fly into nearby baseball fields, on top of cages and into the ocean (the do NOT float so you better find them quickly in water).

I usually always give 5 stars if the product and ordering are great. In this case, 4 stars is for ordering simply because we cannot control the color being delivered. We ordered two in the same order hoping for a variety, but nope, same green color.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still Going Strong, October 21, 2014

I really really wanted the electronic, remote sensors. We tried one here on Amazon (hard to find these) and as all the reviewers stated, it lasted less than a year and even when it worked, it could be intermittent and high maintenance. I guess demand is just not high enough for that type of product.

So it's back to old school - floating/bobber. And this one is perfect and accurate - we cross check it with our heating unit and they are in perfect sync which is nice.

We've had this type before but hated how they would end up in the strainer. This one however mostly hangs out in the pool, usually near but not under the water fall. Only once have we fished it out of the strainer. If it ever becomes a problem it has a loop to tie/anchor it somewhere.

4.0 out of 5 stars Genuine Apple, October 21, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These are perfect, genuine Apple cords. I almost always give 5 stars because I research the products/reviews and know what I'm getting. And that is no different here.

The reason for 4 stars is for the ordering process/convenience. Having just jumped from iPhone 4s (over 2.5 years and many cords) to iPhone 6s (we have 3 in the house now), we needed several extra cords for 2 vehicles and around the house. Due to tight supply I assume, we can only order ONE cord at a time and I have had to wait several days to a week or more before the Amazon system clears me to purchase another cord.

It makes no sense to me to lower price and offer Prime shipping convenience but then limit orders. If you want to control demand, raise the price. I would still buy them to avoid retailers/time. So slowly I am building up the extra cords we need.

I've bought two of these USB versions now and 3 of the non-USB. The USB is perfect for kids and guest rooms where everyone can plugin phones/tablets without messing with adapters. The swivel is SO nice, especially behind dressers.

With 5 of these units, none have been loose in the sockets. Our home is 8 years old so the sockets are firm. We don't use these to overload circuit - you don't want to do that - but instead we use them as intended, to clear up other wall outlets and centralize connections, leaving other outlets on the circuit empty and clean.

We have a Black & Decker set of cordless tools that includes a handheld vacuum. Every time we'd run it though, it was like finger nails down a chalkboard - the high-pitched whine was irritating and not safe for ears. And often times, it's my teenage son who grabs it and cleans out the cars quickly - especially before a trip.

So I bought this vac for sanity and for protection for our ears - especially his. This vac is compact but packs a punch. It is 3-4 decibels quieter than the cordless whiner which is nice - it's also a lower, less irritating pitch. I also LOVE the accessories, especially the flat tool for cars.

It is very light, mostly quiet.

My home office/desk: 44db
Our Black & Decker cordless: 98db
THIS AmorAll Vac: 95db
Our Dyson Upright: 92db

So it's louder than our Dyson upright but quieter than the cordless whiner. And it cleans like a charm and it easy/light to maneuver in and around vehicles or anywhere.

We did not see any problems of lose connections as some people mentioned. The only exception is that the canister lid "clips" onto the storage bottom. It is a bit loose there when the vac is off - creating a slight 1/8" gap. But when the vac is powered on, the suctions pulls that tight and does it's job.
