4.0 out of 5 stars Skimping on the cap, November 22, 2014

It's a great projector for the price. Bright. Quiet. But how does it not include a lens cap? There's even an insistence in the manual that a lens cap be used. It's not like you can swing by the lens cap store and pick up a cap for a BenQ MS504 with ease or anything. Charge the three extra bucks and include the thing, already.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the time., October 1, 2013
This review is from: Fondly: Two Novellas (Paperback)
This pair of novellas is a worthy successor to Winnette's short works in Animal Collection. It's heartbreaking and occasionally uplifting, successfully illuminating some truths of humanity between its poetic atom smashing of immortal substance with "In one story, the two sisters," and its merciless, journalistic eye on the seemingly inconsequential flow of of life in Gainesville. The work speaks for itself, but if you need a push to give it a read, consider it given.

4.0 out of 5 stars Initially skeptical, April 14, 2011

This review is from: Charcoal (Kindle Edition)
Found this while digging around in the site's Camus bin. From "writing as..." to the fake antipraise, I didn't expect much. The preview won me over, though, and I'm glad. Strong, messy stuff--I finished it in a sitting, and I'll probably read it again. There are a lot of clever things in here, but they never play too clever. They just sort vibrate, breathe, and allow themselves to be swept away.

5.0 out of 5 stars Remarkable., April 11, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
In the interest of brevity I'll summarize as follows: text on craft is not my favorite reading, but Young has done something special and beautiful here. It's poetry, process, theory, history, psychology, and incitement to act all rolled into a lyrical hunk of prose that's as useful as it is enjoyable to read. I'm a fan of Young's poetry, and this is easily my favorite of the last three of his books I've read. It's dog-eared to all hell and the people in my life are tired of hearing about it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Misrepresented, June 6, 2009

I don't care how intriguing the effect is, infrared-like is not the same as "Infrared." Adding IR to the title of the item is a direct misrepresentation. Thanks, however, for fleecing me. Next time I'll know. SFX 200 is, as one can even learn by reading the film features, not an IR film.
