5.0 out of 5 stars Brother Monochrome Home/Business Wireless Laser Printer, February 11, 2016
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Let me say right up front... this is a wonderful printer.
Everything about it is well thought out, this is a no nonsense work oriented printer designed to facilitate your productivity in a timely cost effective manner.
Yes, this printer has a primary objective in mind.... & that is to effectively economize your printing needs by streamlining & accelerating the printing process.
The unit itself is a marvel of economic design, smaller than I expected as there is no wasted space, every place has a hidden purpose.
Anyways... The printer comes securely packed in a VERY sturdy box, the cardboard itself is high grade & quite strong.... it is clear to me that Brother is a company that really cares about their products & the customers who buy them, as they have taken great care to ensure their products are in proper working order when purchased.
Speaking of which, your printer purchase assures you of LIFETIME toll free tech support!
The unit comes with just about everything you may need to get started....
I say just about & may, because there is a chance you may want to hardwire the printer to your PC as I did, & in that case you need to supply your own cable.
Setup is pretty quick & relatively easy... the quick start guide will get the ball rolling for you until you get the drum ink cartridge installed & the unit connected, then the installation CD will load drivers & complete the setup for you. The user manual/reference guide is well illustrated & easy to read & follow...and this printer will work with just about every operating system out there still relevant [that I know of]
As you know the printer can be accessed wirelessly & operated remotely through your smart phone...
The App is free & installs on a wide variety of smartphone platforms... the App itself is simple & easy to you & the reference guide has illustrated instructions on it's operation, and... Brother has thoughtfully incorporated security measures to help ensure your business is not compromised by unauthorized users.
I love the huge paper tray in this printer, it dosen't get any easier.... BTW if/when a paper jam occurs, the display will show an error message with a number that corresponds to the location of the jam, & on page 14 of the user guide it illustrates where these locations are.
I loaded up roughly 400 sheets of paper & fired out 200 two sided documents in little time with no jams or errors of any kind.... the print job was flawless & perfectly centered on every sheet... very nice.
Also, I suppose I should point out this is a monochrome document printer .... no color other than varying shades of black.
And, there is also a 50 piece letter/multi purpose tray on the backside of the unit.
This printer is energy efficient as well, as in between use, it goes into sleep/deep sleep modes to conserve on energy consumption.
To further cut printing costs, a 12,000 page higher capacity ink cartridge/drum is also available.
The unit is also upgradable in that it can be configured to better suit your printing requirements by purchasing optional trays as well.
The product description, as well as the box the unit comes packed in states that this printer requires a connection to a wireless network as well as an additional purchase.....
well I can assure you that is not the case, as I made no additional purchase nor was I connected to the internet when I installed the printer & it works flawlessly.
As I mentioned earlier, the unit is smaller than you might think, so it was easier for me to find a suitable spot for it than I had anticipated.... also it does have a little heft to it at 31.7 lbs....
but the weight is easily manageable thanks to the properly positioned handgrip wells on either side of the unit.
These words come to mind when I think upon this machine....
robust, capable, fast, flexible, efficient, reliable, economical, intelligent, I assure you this is not any kind of "reviewers hype" ... this printer really does deserve such high praise, which is why I am ranking it as a bona fide 5 star general :)
If you have a need for such a high speed high quality printer as the Brother wireless laser ..... give this one serious consideration, it just works & works good.... & it looks pretty sharp too actually.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT inVESTment, February 5, 2016
This review is from: Ringside Weighted Vest (Sports)
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
What a great product!
I start every day with an early morning workout, which includes a bit of boxing/kickboxing...
This is just what I needed to accentuate my routine .... love it!
The vest is equipped with fully adjustable nylon straps & quick release buckles that allow you to quickly & easily put it on/take it off ....
While the Ringside is not the most stylish weighted vest on the market, to me that does not matter a bit...
What matters to me is that this vest allows me full range of upper body movement & that it is well made.
I find that 22 pounds feels just about right.... heavy enough to make a definite difference, but not too allfire heavy.
But if you need to lighten the load a bit, doing so is simple, just pop open a weight pocket & remove weight as needed.
The vest is made of tough ballistic nylon, & has Velcro secured weight pockets on the front & back so the weight is evenly distributed around your body... and the vest holds the weight close & securely when in motion, which is of great importance when boxing.
The Ringside vest is awesome to do sit ups-with.... yeah you can really crunch those abbs with this!
The Ringside vest seems to run just a bit small in the size department [as most everything does today].... for me that is not a problem... but if your upper body is on the bulky side of things you may want to consider ordering a size up.
All in all this product delivers ... an innovative & cost effective way to maximize your workout potential.
I really like the Ringside weighted vest... it is a high quality product that is designed well & does what you need it to do without any needless fanfare or fancy doodads :) 5 stars all the way!

5.0 out of 5 stars HSM Securio B32c, January 29, 2016
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This is quite a machine!
The HSM Securio B32c is a compact powerhouse of a crosscutting shredder... that is also attractively styled.
The Securio is roughly twice the size & weight of your average home document shredder, with more than twice the power, shredding speed & waste capacity...
Not only will it shred paper, but it will devour small & large staples & paper clips... as well as CD's/DVD'S & credit cards as fast as you can feed it, all without hesitation. I put this machine through it's paces, I had a grocery bag full of old documents, letters bills, cards, you name it.... the bag must have weighed 3-4 lbs, I thought I was going to be sitting there for an hour.... 15 minutes later I was done, & the waste bag was 3/4 full! This is really a great shredder!
The unit weighs in at 60lbs & comes equipped with tiny rollers that point in one direction only... sideways.
The B32c comes with everything you need to start shredding right away.... the power cord, instruction manual, cutting block oil, 10 plastic waste bags & a separate waste container for CD's/DVD's & credit cards.
The unit is easy to set up & before you know it you will be searching your house for things to feed it like I was :)
The B32c is big/strong enough for medium - light office work, yet just small enough AND good looking for use at home IMO
Operation is simple & straight forward.... plug it in, turn on the power switch found on the back, press the circular operation button... and it is now fully operational. The B32c is of course equipped with auto anti jam & overheating shut down protection.
For how powerful it is... this is a very quiet machine.
The unit arrived in a well protected box & in perfect condition, not a scratch or dent anywhere!
The HSM Securio is a quality machine, made in Germany! .... yes, this is built to last.
The operation of a shredder is basic & simple, no need to belabor the obvious.... and the operators manual covers everything else you may need to know, so the only thing left to touch upon is... is it a value based purchase?
Answer.... a resounding YES!
The MSM Securio B32c is a serious performer that scores high on all points, Looks, quality manufacture, performance & price, Securio is about as "bullet proof" as a shredder can be.
So as I see it, the Securio B32c is a five star general all day long... highly recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sharp Looking Well Made Watch, January 25, 2016
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
I love watches & clocks... as I am fascinated with the nature of time. So when I was offered the chance to review this watch I wasted no time in accepting the offer.... because timing is everything.
What we have here is a fine looking battery powered wrist watch of high quality quartz movement with a rose/gold tone that sports a very nice looking crocodile embossed black leather band with a very secure "deployment" style clasp.
The watch is water resistant to 100 feet, just be sure the crown is fully tight before immersing the watch, as failure to due so can damage the watch & voids the warranty.
This is a fairly simple straight forward watch, so is easy to set & use... yet, it is best to read the instruction manual to familiarize yourself with the timepiece before attempting to do so.
This watch has a date window, luminous hour & minutes hands & two subdials, the bottom one is the second hand & the one above is the chronograph 60 minute countdown dial.
The top right button starts the chronograph countdown, & the bottom right button resets the chronograph.
This is a very comfortable wearing watch.... thanks in part to the calfskin leather strap, it just feels good to wear. As far as that goes, it looks pretty sharp too.
I like the overall size & weight of the watch as well.... not too big, heavy or small.
You know...
it is because we exist in the essence of time.... that time is always of the essence for us, so it behooves us all to be mindful of times passage, every second of it.....
for that is how you make every minute of life count.
Anyways... I believe the Lucien Piccard Bosporous men's watch is a value based bargain, as it a great looking above average watch with quality movements of Japanese manufacture set at a reasonable price point.

These boots are "bad to the bone" !
I really like the look of this boot... and how good they feel on my feet & how quick & easy they are to put on & take off....
These bad boys are RUGGED! and look worthy of the most adverse working conditions.... they are steel toed, waterproof & will provide a degree of protection from electrical hazards.
Pros... Very well made, rugged & durable, waterproof, shockproof, easy on/off, comfortable & they look grrrrreat!
Cons... they are a bit heavy, & will take some getting used to.
In my eyes, these Stanley Exploit work boots are worthy of five stars all day long, highly recommended

3.0 out of 5 stars Stream Shadow 3, January 16, 2016
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
I have done allot of rafting on rivers lakes & streams, & have owned quite a few rafts both large & small.... so this review is reflective of those many years experience.
Well, technically this is a 3 person raft, yet realistically... it is a two person, yes you can put 3 people in it... but that is not always a good Idea, as there are other factors in the "safety equation" to consider, such as overall payload weight & water/weather conditions.
manufacturer's have a bad habit of overstating just how many occupants the products they are selling are designed to hold, for instance the hot tub I own proclaims to be a 3 person tub, yet 3 people would be a very tight squeeze indeed... yes, it is "doable" yet ridiculous to do so.
This point must be stressed for safeties sake, the more weight in a raft the further it sinks into the water increasing the chances of making incidental contact with underwater hazards such as rocks with sharp edges & branches... which can puncture a raft & sink it quickly.
This particular raft is designed to be used in calm slow moving waters & should not be used to go whitewater rafting, as it simply is not rugged enough to survive such extremes.
Now that the safety precautions are dispensed with lets look at the raft itself...
I would call this a light duty recreational raft, that is best suited for ponds, lakes & "user friendly" streams.....
as it is constructed of vinyl ......not rubber....rubber is what real rafts are made of... and by real I mean, really good.
Vinyl is what kids pools & pool toys are made out of, granted the vinyl in this raft is thicker than most pool floatables.... but it is what it is...
The reason vinyl is not used in constructing quality rafts is because of two things... puncture resistance & longevity of raft life...meaning, a rubber raft can withstand more pounds of pressure per square inch than vinyl can, & rubber is more survivable in that it can withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight....whereas vinyl rafts will degrade [ dry out ] much faster.
One way to make your vinyl raft last longer, is to treat the topside with a coating of Armor All... this will help to negate the UV rays damaging effects, & store it in a cool dry location of course.
Ok... what makes this raft so appealing is of course it's camouflage, the "Real Tree" pattern is very effective at blending in with it surroundings, so it will blend in nicely with shorelines.... so this raft is ideally optimized for casual fishing & hunting.
I stress the word casual... as this is not a "survival" type raft that will see you through extreme circumstances [unless you are most fortunate indeed]
Though it may sound like I am knocking the Stream Shadow... I am not.... just clarifying things...
For the price.... the Stream Shadow is hard to beat, as it is an adequate raft for most peoples everyday outdoors adventures... just don't expect it to last more than 2-5 years.... unless you use it hardly at all. Keep in mind vinyl products have a shorter "shelf life" than rubber.... meaning, even under perfect conditions [ just sitting on a shelf ] vinyl will dry out & become brittle and useless much faster than rubber.
But as I said for the price.... it is a reasonable proposition.... meaning, as long as you can get some good use out of it without puncturing it for a few years you will get your money's worth out of it.
Now, the raft comes with two break down oars & the grab rope & two inflatable seat cushions .... the ad states it comes with a convenient carry bag, yet it is just a big clear plastic bag... better than nothing I guess.
The raft is generously outfitted with niceties... fishing pole holders, a motor mount, oar clasps & a storage bag... all you need to do is get yourself a 20 lb canoe type anchor & air pump or tire air compressor .... because there is no way you are going to blow it up on your own!... lol believe me, It was all I could do to blow up the seat cushions with lung power, the air plugs must have one way air flow, which makes it a bit more difficult to get air in.
It being winter, I have not had the chance to take the Stream Shadow on her "maiden voyage" yet.... every body of landlocked water around here [Maine] is quite frozen... so I had to settle for a dry run in the garage :) which gave me a rough idea on her general characteristics.
In my mind, this raft is suitable for 2 average sized adults & a bit just of gear & no more, or one person of average to large size with a bit more carryon's ...
Fishing is what this little raft will excel at...as it is quiet & camouflaged, & yes duck hunting is also within the range of possibilities of this raft.
The Stream Shadow is a budget minded niche filler.... if you have a need for an inexpensive stealthy raft for some lazy afternoon fishing this might just be the Bestway to go :)
Pros... Good price, optimized nicely for the fishing/hunting enthusiast.... an easily stowable means of waterborne transportation.
Cons... not built to last more than a few years, the "carry bag" is as cheap as it gets.
All in all I like what I see in the Stream Shadow... but considering it's inherent shortcomings, I can only give it 3 stars

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent Drill, January 8, 2016
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
The Black & Decker 20V power drill is pretty nice....
It is lightweight yet has decent power/torque ...the handle/ grip is ergonomically comfortable & the rubberized grip provides good purchase..
The carry bag that comes with it is all right, but provides no protection for the drill.... a hard plastic case would be nicer.
All the little unwanted extras it comes with such as the tape measure, box cutter & level are just so much fluff in my eyes.... I already have these things & really am rather nonplussed with such marketing tactics.
Including these things is an attempt to make you feel like you are getting a really good deal, but in truth you are paying a premium price for everything...
The asking price is just too much for a little 20v drill & so these so called "extras" are really not a bonus at all... as you are paying for them & could get better ones cheaper elsewhere.
Ok, now to the instruction manual...
What we have to work with here is a "one size fits all" manual that is really only good for finding out how long to charge that battery for.... which is 9 hours.
Unfortunately the "one size" manual does not fit this drill..... as what it describes is a much nicer drill!... that has battery level indicator lights... USB plug in... & a LED light that illuminates the drill target...
now THAT is the kind of drill I would expect to get for the amount of $ being asked for this basic bare bones model!
Bottom line... I do like the drill, the bits & bag as they will serve a useful purpose.... but this package "deal" is not such a great deal at all IMO

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Game Cam, January 7, 2016
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This is a good Game Camera ... it has allot of features packed into it, is well designed & easy to use.
High tech is now fully integrated into the game cam business, & because of that.... they are better than ever! with more brands to choose from & all sorts of new ideas being implemented into them, the field cam is evolving so fast it is surprising, as every time I look into them there is something new going on.
And the Bushnell 14mp Aggressor is no exception... for instance it sports the new "hybrid" mode that take pictures & video at the same time!
This cam has everything that makes a cam user friendly, one feature in particular that I like is how you can pop it open & pull out the card without having to unlock the cable & taking it off the tree.
This cam is very easy to program, if you have set up game cams before you likely can do it without reading the instructions, which by the way are easy to read, follow & is illustrated.
BUT... I do not recommend updating it, as you run the risk of rendering the unit inoperative.... there are numerous instances of others reporting that their cam stopped working properly after the update, so it might be best to use it as is.
The cam has a very fast trigger speed, low glow LED's, is energy efficient.... it has a field scan mode that takes pics at preset intervals, tripod attachment points, external power-source option, it can take videos 60 seconds long! with sound even.... I love cams that also capture sound.
The only thing this cam really lacks is camouflage, which is easily remedied with some camo tape.... other than that it is just about perfect.
EXCEPT.... that it has a quirky flaw... in that it will take only black & white videos in full sunlight... although that is vexing... it is not a true "deal killer" in my eyes as the cam is still useful even with just B&W video. Perhaps the update was intended to resolve the no color video issue?
If it were not for the update issue & the video problem... this cam would be a five star general...
but seeing that it does have it's "issues" I can only give it 3 stars.... even though I really like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The TP-LINK MU-MIMO Router Rocks!, January 4, 2016
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
The TP Link MU-MIMO router really does the job & does it well... Now everything in my house functions at peak performance.
Set up is a snap, the quick start guide will have you up & running in just minutes, it is easy to read & illustrated.
I have 10 wireless devices in the house, 2 Roku's, a Firestick, tablets, TV's, 2 laptops & 2 pc's....
and now there are no noticeable slowdowns or hiccups when more than one is being used.
I used to have dead spots in the house, especially the porch & garage areas...now the whole house is covered, no dead spots anywhere.
The AC2600 is wall mountable.... which is fortunate if you are running out of places to put things like I am.
My old router just could not handle the load, so this MU-MIMO is just what I needed... and I could not be happier...
Thanks TP-LINK... 5 stars, highly recommended.

Hitler is Alive!
Guaranteed True Stories Reported by the National Police Gazette - A Mysteriouspress.com original edited by Steven A. Westlake
The title of this book had me hooked at first glance :) as I was never really satisfied with the convenient suggestion that Hitler had committed suicide & had his body burned so identification would be next to impossible.
Yes, I came to the conclusion a few years ago that Hitler must have escaped, why?
Because that's the kind of guy he was.... a cowardly but cunning AND capable rat.... and the preponderance of the evidence clearly indicates he did.
As the title suggests, the material contained within the book is a comprehensive compilation of stories from the files of the National Police Gazette, a widely popular tabloid style magazine that Westlake resurrected in 2006.
The old saying, that truth is stranger than fiction.... certainly applies in Hitler's story indeed..... for the sake of those not well versed in this controversial subject matter, I will not reveal too much of what you will discover.... but I will suggest you buckle up & hold onto your hat because it's a wild & exciting ride, one interesting fact revealed within that was unbeknownst to me... was that Hitler was never tried in any court in absentia!
Very interesting indeed.
Tabloid yes, but it does us much to ponder...
Most people know that two German subs surrendered a few months after the war, yet few know what they were doing during their two month absence and why!....
Yes.... all that & much much more is revealed within the pages of Hitler Lives!.....far more than I suspected.
This is a quality Paperback book, as it is well put together so that it reads easily & fluidly, and at 417 pages long... there is plenty of meat on the bones of this one to chew on.
