Great towels. Not too bulky and not skimpy either. I'm getting more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fits old dispenser, August 16, 2015

Fits my old hanging dispenser. For years since they stopped making super-market 3.5" cups I've been unable to use my hanging Solo Cup dispenser. These cups fit perfectly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awfully gruesome but mesmerizing, July 28, 2015

What can anyone say about Sarah. While reading of her "adventures" one's stomach turns. At the same time, it's impossible to stop reading till the book is done.

2.0 out of 5 stars Definitely for young male readers, July 5, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If you're 18, male, and love F bombs, this action filled and bloody-battle-based fantasy set in a mythical land, is for you. It's full of shenanigans by a charming and clever thief, lying hero. It's looooong. There are portions of the story that are quite charming, however, and though it's all about thievery and mayhem, it often seems to be delivered tongue-in-cheek. Flashes of swashbuckling abound. The characters all have hidden secrets and there are convoluted plot twists. It outdoes Thrones for violence, though there is essentially no sex.
If you're a grannie sharing reading material with your grandson, I recommend speed reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars Always a good read, June 19, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Sarah takes on a variety of baddies in this set of books 4-6. Her swearing and the violence she goes through and inflicts on others is still there big time. Sarah grows up a bit and displays an interest in romance while her Auto Writing takes on a more modern bent as she encounters some family surprises.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heart stopping at times, June 10, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Whenever reading a series one expects some of the parts to disappoint. Not so with any of the Matt Turner series. At several points I was so engrossed I found myself holding my breath! Read the other 2 first, and definitely read this one, too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Slow start but recovers nicely, May 27, 2015

At first it seemed as if the theme from the first book was repeating with different characters, but about 40% into the story it took an exciting turn and became a page turner. Almost as good as the first book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Read-to-kid book, May 22, 2015

The Just So Stories are best when read aloud to a child. My son and I have fond memories of these stories which I read aloud to him over and over 50 years ago. There's a sing-song rhythm to many of the passages that ring delightfully in memory. How can one not love the round tones of lines enunciated slowly: "Son, son, said his mother, graciously waving her tail" or "Down by the great gray green Limpopo river all set about with fever trees" or .."the precession had proceeded according to precedent." Kipling called them the Just So Stories because when telling bedtime stories to his daughter, he had to repeat them "Just So," as children are wont to do. Delightful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Let's you share her struggle and triumph, May 18, 2015

This is a fascinating story not without its uncomfortable moments. Reading it from my viewpoint as an elderly grannie who was raised in a time when one didn't kiss till the 4th date and drugs were unheard of, I found some of her sexual thoughts and drug-taking episodes difficult to read but not to the point where they damaged the story and the magnificent journey she completed. She tells the story compellingly. I felt with her on the trail and disappointed, as she was, when it finished. It's an amazing and true story. Worth the read.
