Terrible customer support
, December 14, 2012
I ended up purchasing this unit back in february. Worked great for quite some time.
It recently died on me. I ended up troubleshooting myself. I called ASUS for mobo troubleshooting and my RAM as well. There was no other solution except a bad processor.
Well, I ended up contacting Intel customer support and they deemed it defective and they were going to replace it.
Until, they wanted me to send the damn thing in, then they would test it and then either repair or replace it. "It could take up to a month"
What kind of crap is that? I asked them why should I have to wait so long for a replacement. Then they offered an "advanced replacement program" which is for normally platinum and gold members. Really? I am not a platinum or gold? Suck it Intel.
Well they offered me the replacement and said I have to pay 25$ for the advanced shipping and I need to pay the 200$+ for the unit and then they will refund me back when I sent them my unit. I can see why it is for "platinum and gold members" because you have to pay a crap load of money to get an item.
I can't believe after 15 years of Intel I have 1 problem and I have to pay for their mistake.
Taking this to the BBB and I am rating this a 1 star for this product dying on me and intel's s***ty customer service.
Fudge you intel.
