5.0 out of 5 stars One of this year's best club/electro/edm albums!, June 22, 2016
This review is from: 3 (Audio CD)
A perfect collection of upbeat club-friendly EDM tracks by one of Belgium's hottest drum and bass musician. On this his third full-length album, Netsky pairs up with Emile Sande in Thunder which is just begging to be a massive hit. Other artists like Digital Farm Animals (who are gaining popularity with their first single Wanna Know Ft R. Kelly) and Saint Raymond are also featured. The songs are a blend of drum and bass, house and pop and if you are a fan of Rudimental, Chase and Status or Fred V and Grafix then this should be under your radar.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid release from one of Pop's best known and loved voices! WELCOME BACK, June 16, 2016
This review is from: 50 - UK Release (Audio CD)
Amazing album from a person who brought us Never Gonna Give You Up a classic written by Stock Aitken Waterman and a tune that defined all that was good in the 1980s.
This album is Rick's first in over a decade and was made in response to fan requests. His voice is as solid as ever and the tunes range from pop to rnb with many having a gospel flavoring. It is music to inspire and brighten your day and already two tracks, "Keep Singing" and "Angels on My Side" have been released as singles and are playing on radio world-wide...
PS If not too late, if you purchase this from Rick's website he will personally autograph it. I received my signed version this week from England!

5.0 out of 5 stars Discover the pioneers of French electronic music, June 10, 2016
This review is from: Twentyears (2CD) (Audio CD)
For the past twenty years the duo known as Air has been in the forefront of electro/house music combining sparse vocals with hypnotic beasts best suited for late night/early morning club sessions. They along with fellow countrymen Etienne Crecy, Modjo, Daft Punk, Bob Sinclar, Next Evidence, and Julian Jabre amongst others have pioneered the FRENCH TOUCH electro vibe that is loved by fans across the globe. This cd is an excellent compilation of all their hits (on cd 1) along with fan favourite rarities and b-side out-takes (on cd 2)

5.0 out of 5 stars If you like Ed Sherran, Coldplay or simply feel-good music then try this, June 10, 2016
This review is from: Wrong Crowd (Audio CD)
Growing up 26 yr old Tom loved Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen and these influences along with that of Elton John and Coldplay are weaved throughout this his second album. Magnetised is the album's first single and is a good representation of what Tom has to offer.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Perfect Companion to the Original., May 27, 2016
This review is from: The Lexicon Of Love II (MP3 Music)
The Look of Love, Poison Arrow and All of My Heart rank amongst some of the great music from the 1980s. It was pop perfection and has stood the test of time. Thankfully The Lexicon of Love II with its first single Viva Love continues on this path with melodic beats full of lush instrumentation and uplifting lyrics. My only wish was that we did not have to wait three decades for this compilation. Hopefully this album will be supported by old and new fans of the group!

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid album that will have lasting chart dominance., May 21, 2016
This review is from: Dangerous Woman (Audio CD)
A solid album with many tracks destined to be major hit singles. It already has the hit ballad Dangerous Woman. If you liked her last album MKy Everything then this one follows in the same tradition. Only now, there are many more upbeat EDM style tracks like Into You. Side to Side Ft Nikki Minaj that has a reggae style reminiscent of Drake's recent single One Dance. Focus does not appear on either the standard (11 track) or Deluxe (15 track) version which is a shame as it was a solid track. It does appear on the more expensive Japanese edition with a different cd cover.

1.0 out of 5 stars A Missed opportunity., May 19, 2016
IMPORTANT UPDATE: I just received the cds by post and am deeply disappointed that the tracks are MIXED and not the complete versions Defected had suggested they would be. It should not then be called a compilation. Why are fans like myself who are willing to spend the extra money on a physical cd being punished by having shorter mixed versions, while those who prefer the cheaper digital not only get the unmixed but on Defected's website an additional 20 unmixed tracks!!!

Below was my original review:
This is an essential release for all HOUSE music fans. Defected has finally compiled a greatest hit list of sorts spanning 4 cds.
As they noted on their website:' Split over four CDs, each CD giving a nod toward the various aspects of the label’s output, ‘We Are Defected. This Is Our House’ is both an essential collection of seminal house music for lifelong fans and a comprehensive introduction for newcomers to Defected.

CD One celebrates the anthems: those records that were born in the clubs and dancefloors but went on to crossover into the mainstream. These are the stadium records, the festival anthems that you don’t have to be a househead to have heard of. Records like ‘Most Precious Love’, ‘Hey Hey’, ‘Look Right Through’ and ‘The Cure & The Cause’ – immortal strokes of musical genius that transcended the underground.

CD Two is all about the classics, tracks that while not achieving the status of a crossover hit are absolutely definitive in their own right. These are the records DJs reach for to save a flagging dancefloor, or to send a peaktime crowd into frenzy. Candi Staton ‘Hallelujah Anyway’ (Larse Vocal), Dubtribe Sound System ‘Do It Now’, Noir & Haze ‘Around’ (Solomun Vox) and DJ Gregory ‘Elle’ are just some of the selections from this CD which arguably defines the Defected ethos more than any other.

CD Three delves into the underground, featuring the records that Defected have championed via the most vital element of the house scene - the clubs. Many of the inclusions are records that have been previously released on other labels, highlighting another key facet to Defected, that of identifying and championing those quality records that totally deserve to be brought to a wider club audience. Take tracks like Âme ‘Rej’, Osunlade ‘Envision’ and Intruder featuring Jei ‘Amame’. All are flawless club records from incredible artists that will stand the test of time.

Finally, CD Four wraps things up with the current. Defected has always managed to balance the classic with the contemporary, referencing the past to look to the future and working with cutting-edge artists in the process. Here you’ll find tracks from a whole bunch of house music’s current stars including Purple Disco Machine, Mr. G, Lee Walker and Hercules & Love Affair."

ITS OUT APRIL 22nd and Hopefully these are unmixed.

4.0 out of 5 stars 18 track Japanese Version, May 13, 2016
THIS IS THE 19 Track Japanese DELUXE edition with features the four additional tracks Goosebumps, Throwback Love, No (instrumental) and her single Good To Be Alive that was on the Peanuts movie soundtrack.

Woman Up, Watch Me Do and Me Too follow up in the same dance pop vein as the lead single No. I can understand that there will be some fans hoping for a repeat of Meghan's debut album Title with it's do-wop style who will be disappointed in the new direction of her second release. Meghan herself addressed this in a recent interview saying that she has always written and loved a variety of musical styles including both pop and rnb and wanted to reflect this in her sophomore release. The witty lyrics and positive messages that define Meghan's sound are still there. I like the fact that there are more upbeat songs and fewer ballads this time around. The song Better was song enough and perhaps really did not need the inclusion of Yo Gotti to it. I Love Me with Lunchmoney Lewis is a good duet and works well.

If you really love this album there exists an extended 19 track Japanese edition with features three additional tracks Goosebumps, Throwback Love and her single Good To Be Alive that was on the Peanuts movie soundtrack.
