5.0 out of 5 stars like I said, January 27, 2016

These boots took me through Snowzilla 2016 with flying colors! They kept my feet and socks warm and dry through several hours of being thigh deep in the snow. They are a little roomier inside than I thought for the size I purchased, but that works well if you want to wear thicker socks or layers (although, like I said, even just one pair of regular athletic socks and I was totally fine). The padding in the sole isn't the fanciest, but for the price these are amazing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Peter Capaldi gets off to a good start, July 22, 2015

This review is from: Doctor Who Season 8 (Amazon Video)
Peter Capaldi has a great take on the Doctor and will continue to grow into the role. Clara is slightly less likable in this season than she was with Matt Smith, and I only liked Danny Pink in episode 8 ("In the Forest of the Night"). Moffat continues to have moments of brilliance but still lacks a sense of season-wide story pacing and character development. Taken as a whole: better than season 7, but not as good as seasons 3 or 4.

Lot's of fire trucks on a fitted sheet that's ACTUALLY BIG ENOUGH to fit on a toddler mattress. Reasonable price for something that absolutely made my son's day!

3.0 out of 5 stars too expensive for what you get, August 30, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
We ordered this 5 piece set for our toddler who LOVES fire trucks. The quality seems to be good so far (we haven't washed it yet, so I can't speak to how it will hold up in the dryer), so my only complaint is this: the fire truck designs are only on the comforter and pillow sham. 2 out of 5 pieces! The top sheet, fitted sheet, and regular pillow case (you know, the one that you actually use in real life in a little boy's room) are all plain blue and have NO fire truck designs on them. For the money, I really expected more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book!, July 13, 2013

I loved this book! Very well written, with a perfect blend of specific instruction balanced with open-ended freedom to explore each exercise. I've been using many of these techniques on stage for years, but it was incredibly validating to see them written out and to understand why they were already such an integral part of my unconscious comedic mind.

5.0 out of 5 stars fantastically crafted series!, August 31, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy is an amazing addition to the fantasy world of literature. The first book, "Mistborn," is a highly entertaining and engrossing read, with twists and turns that aren't too predictable, and which stands on its own as a perfectly contained story. The second book, "The Well of Ascension," is very 'Empire Strikes Back,' in that it cooks at a somewhat slower boil for much of the book, but explodes in the final third with well written action, development, and surprises, pulling the reader inexorably onward to the final installment. The third book, "The Hero of Ages," was simply amazing. A non-stop thrill ride of adventure and mind boggling revelations, it ties up all the loose story hooks, but doesn't slam the door shut on the world. Sanderson has done a wonderful job in this series, crafting a well thought out story arc from beginning to end, with three-dimensional characters who you can really cheer for, and delightfully original magic systems. It is so incredibly satisfying to read a story where the author has so skillfully woven all the pieces together from beginning to end so that they unfold perfectly to reveal their complexity and precision. The Mistborn trilogy is an absolute must-read.
