2.0 out of 5 stars Does NOT work with Nikon D7000, June 11, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
WARNING!

While there is a chinesse video online suggesting it works with the Nikon D7000, it only read/write to the card but the WIFI does NOT work!. Besides this, this card also seems to get clipped/stuck on the SD card compartment. I have to pull it and giggle with very careful so that it did not broke any connections inside the camera. (BTW: I tested it with a friends D80 and while it worked it got stuck on the compartment while taking it out.... same case as previously with my D7000).

2.0 out of 5 stars Fine while it worked., April 25, 2014
I bought this item about 6 months ago and use it a few times. Left in a drawer for use just when traveling. I just took a vacation and to my surprise the item was dead.... no charging... no lights.... nothing!. Complete waste of money. I have not been able to find out any support or warranty for this item. :(

4.0 out of 5 stars excellent product... need updates to fine tune it, December 15, 2012
I think that this item is well priced. The only issue I have so far is that for some reason the volume doesn't seem To work right for every situation. For example: Pandora is extremely low even when srs is selected and the volume is set at max on the settings and as well on pandora itself. Some sites like youtube are also extremely low while on games like angry birds the sound level is more than appropiate. I believe a few firmware updates are needed and this device will be a neat one.

For someone like me that is loosing the sight, this is a great tool to use. It could use a faster processor but i guess it needed to leave an area for improvement. I also assume this was done in purpose to keep an affordable price.

I can see myself buying a few of this devices to place them around the house. For example: near the exit door displaying memos, weather or appointments. In the kitchen instead of a tv to not only watch netflix or any other streaming media, listening to music or search for recipes. In the living room so that friends visiting can use it for internet access When a topic arise. Etc

I hope a firmware update is on the works soon to nail all this volume anoyances.

This review was done using this awesome device.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected...., June 19, 2010

This product (HD-6000) is great looking, but it has major limitations:

- No TWAIN Driver for standard applications.
- It doesnt capture really sharp images (Do not believe otherwise)
- It gets a little a little too warm when used... YES... Hot compared to others.
- Movies produced in high res where produced with low frames.

In other words... Not worth all the hype.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Beginner Book So Far, March 12, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Well.... To start I must say that whoever write a negative comment about this book is either jealous or really dumb and has not read this book page-by-page entirelly.

I used to program in the old Basic, GWBasic, DBase, Informix, Dataflex days and had been now trying to write some programs for my own use. I had purchased many books to kick me in like: Visual Basic.Net for Dummies, Idiot's Visual Basic.Net, etc and none of them had trully make me understand VB.NET concept.

This book has open my interest to learn VB.NET with its easy way. I must say that while others complaint about some initial manual form designs, I thing this is a great way to make users understand the programming concept explained later on.

Most books are either boring or too complex to understand. This one IS Great!. Thanks to James Foxall for it. (Do not give up man... You have a fan here).

I must add that if you are really interested on this subject you might take way more time that what others take to fully read this book, but at the end it will all be worthy.
