5.0 out of 5 stars LeFanu, January 24, 2015

LeFanu is, in my opinion, one of the great and underrated Gothic writers to grace any library. If you appreciate Edgar Allen Poe, you will surely find LeFanu a stimilating night read.

This review is from: The Great Crash 1929 (Paperback)
The book was received very quickly and in great condition. For those interested in a slightly more indepth look at the causes of the depression I recommened this book. It exposes a multitude of causes that are mirrored in todays economic turmoil.

I received the book in time to review it well before my class began...always a plus. The condition was very good, especially for a paper back version. Very satisfied and would certainly trust this vendor in the future.

4.0 out of 5 stars Thye Grayness of HR Law, February 1, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After reading this book I see the haziness of the laws that were written to protect us. Much of the information is redundant and I found accessing the actual codes to be as much or more informational.

5.0 out of 5 stars Zimmerman revealed, February 1, 2011

A comprehensive disclosure of the workings of he intelligence service of Britain prior to and through WWI. There are many revaluations of historical facts that I was not aware of before. Very enlightening.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Disney Version, June 7, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I had begun reading this book from a University and had to return it but decided I wanted it for my collection. The book itself was in excellent condition. Schickel's literate style is annoying to me as he persistently attempts to minimize the achievements that Disney was able to (along with his brother and the many, many talented people that he worked with) accomplish in his lifetime. The facts are accurate and although it isn't a truly insiteful "version", it does bring me slightly closer to how Disney was able to persevere and build his corporation. As a business major I respect the struggles and temperment of the man and this book prortrays this somewhat, although selectively.

5.0 out of 5 stars Refreshing insight..., November 25, 2008
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Its refreshing to hear the true tensions that existed before, during and after the Civil War. It puts the conflict in the light of a war which was geared to who would dictate the political structure of the country. It also brings to the forefront Lincoln's hesitation to use slavery as an issue until very late in the war. If you think racism is a Southern phenomenon, live North of Mason Dixon for a while.
