5.0 out of 5 stars OUCH! It's Lelouch NOT Leouch!, December 26, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Currently In the title of this Amazon page they spelled our epic hero's name wrong, it's Lelouch of the Rebellion!
[UPDATE: It's fixed now.]

Anyways, Bandai Entertainment has finally stop hitting the snooze button on that alarm clock of theirs and that have finally brought us one of, if not the greatest Anime of this decade, into a complete First Season collection.(The First 25 Episodes. Does Not Include R2)

This Anime truly deserves the royal treatment when it comes to releases, so I'm hoping they edit those letters that say "DVD" and change them to "Blu-ray". Anyways, If you still have not yet witnessed the intense action, excellent character and superb story of this Anime then wait no longer and see what everyone has been talking about.

Code Geass Season Set: includes the following 25 Episodes on 6 Discs.

1 "The Day a New Demon was Born"
2 "The White Knight Awakens"
3 "The False Classmate"
4 "His Name is Zero"

5.0 out of 5 stars The Shinji Ikari Raising Project., December 27, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The pressure will always be on to anyone creating, a new spin on Evangelion. It's great to see these characters in roles other than "emotionally dysfunctional teens forced to pilot robots to save a world they don't care about." Yes, the manga drops most of the twisted workings of adults, overwhelming social awkwardness, and religious symbolism that the series has based its fame upon. ALSO, Since the ending of the television series presented the possibility of an alternate, semi-normal existence for the characters, this manga is a glimpse into what might have happened in such a world. Asuka and Shinji have known each other since childhood and their classmates constantly refer to them as a married couple. In this reality, Shinji's mother is stil alive and his father often hides behind a newspaper, and no one is piloting any giant robots. NERV doesn't exist yet and no angels are poised to annihilate humanity.

If that's what you are looking for, you can always stick with the anime and the original manga. For those who are fine with the Evangelion cast getting a chance to live without the constant threat of apocalypse, The Shinji Ikari Raising Project is well a trip to the alternate universe.

4.0 out of 5 stars To Be Or Not To Be, That Is The Question?, September 22, 2009
This is a tough movie to review, mostly because there is NO right answer. Some say it's a bad movie, (my sister) others say it's the best movie they every saw (My friend) And others say it's a O.k. film (me) I was mostly fascinated on the vast amount of detail the animators used on these Autobots and Decepticons. I really like the art and the beautiful colors added to the CGI and special effects. Transformers 2 is one of the most visually entertaining movies of this year. Even though the plot wasn't as good. in another note, it sometimes felt like there were alot of running around back and forth throughout the whole film. In the end, I can't say it's the best movie ever but I won't say it's the worst movie ever but If your still curious about watching it for the first time, I say rent it first before you buy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dragonball Butchering! And The 7 Reasons NOT To Watch, August 9, 2009
I'm sorry to say this, but Not even the awesome power of Blu-ray can help this picture, this movie is beyond terrible, you will not believe how bad this movie really is. I'm not reviewing the blu-ray features because, If a movie sucks so bad why the hell would you (or I) want to watch the special features?

First off, the Main Story is severely butchered to the point where everything unrecognizable to the original. The story is told very hasty and they don't bother to explain anything, and The've also rip off ideas from other great films... Dragon ball is known for great edge of your seat fighting Anime sequences, but in this movie There aren't any good fighting scenes AT ALL! None, Zero.

Second: There are absolutely NO character development in this movie at all, Bulma comes out of Nowhere holding a gun and says: they've stolen the dragonballs can you help? And Goku helps her, for no apparent reason. they team up and find master roshi, who likes to talk while he waves his hands, for no apparent reason!?.

Third: In the Anime and Manga, the main character Goku is supposed to be a happy, fun, cheerful, energetic character that only gets mad when bad people are doing bad things. In this movie goku is nothing but a stupid teenage kid who can't get a girlfriend, ride his bike to school and spends half of the movie feeling sorry for himself. (Lame!) And The DIALONG IN THIS FILM IS THE WORST I'VE EVER HEARD!

Fourth: For unknown reasons, one of the main character, Krillin does not appear in this movie (and I don't know why?). And for more unknown CRAPtacular reasons They used The Kamehame wave, (which is suppose to be a destructive beam technique) TO revive Goku as he lays on the ground because he's about to die, over a small idiotic gun shot wound. (I'm not even afraid to spill anything for you because your not gonna go see this)

Fifth: The ending battle between Goku and Picollo is SO retarded!, Goku throws a big Kamahame wave (which looks totally fake) and all you see is bright lights, They don't even show when piccolo gets hit!!! It's with out a doubt the Stupidest looking, CRAPtacular actions sequence I've ever seen in a action film!

Sixth: The only relation this movie has to the original dragon ball is the Dragonballs themselves THAT'S IT! this movie should have been called The Passion, because it was 90 minutes of pure torture. This is purely Hollywood's best at Film Raping.

Seventh: if you're a FAN of Dragonball, and even if you Not a fan of Dragonball, this movie is mediocre and disappointing from the beginning to end, It's Not entertaining, there's bad acting, the costumes in this movie looks like they found them laying around in back of a trashed Halloween store. I love the original Dragonball so, if you're a fan of the original you must stay away from this!..... This film easily makes my top ten list of the worst films I have ever seen... so, OVERALL! AVOID THIS FILM...PERIOD!

5.0 out of 5 stars Behold The Angels OF God Are Now Descending!, July 6, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The Manga Version of Evangelion is finally closer to reaching It's conclusion, and with this Volume starting off at stage 71-76. things have started to look a lot like the Film: THE END OF EVANGELION. After Gendo Ikari swallows the Embryonic Adam, the evil organization of SEELE has now commanded Tabris (The Angel of Free Will) to Descending to NERV Head Quarters and merge with Adam, in doing so, it could cause the THIRD IMPACT. Shinji will now be forced to face The Last Angel in an all out Epic Battle! and With The Angel using the Hijacked Evangelion Unit 02 as his weapon, The race to Terminal Dogma begins. But just what truths will Shinji find? will the third impact begin, causing death and destruction to the entire human race? And Is this Angel really the Final Enemy of mankind? The truth lies ahead and the end is closer than ever before.

Volume 11 is great, the art is amazing and the characters are well developed. I recommend. 5 out of 5.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dragon Ball Z's Finale!, March 7, 2009
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Dragon Ball Z's Final Chapters!

The Z fighters Battle, To Take The Formidable Majin Buu Down In This Finale Of The Buu Saga. IT'S INDEED THE BEST Action Pack Season Set, Which Ends The Series OF DRAGON BALL Z!

Finally Funimations decide to be nice to us by releasing another Season Set and including all the remaining episodes of DBZ.
I still remember A couple years back, when I spent almost $50 dollars just for the 5 DVD Set that only included the Kid Buu saga, Not only were the Old DVD's expensive and almost impossible to find, there were also a total space waster. Season nine set is A must have! Not only is it cheaper, It's a non-stop fierce action show, that never stops to take it up to the next level, not even to the every End. (It also helps that the size of the Set doesn't take up a lot of room like the Pervious 1999-2003 Sets.)

So, finally having the Funny Guys at FUNImations releasing very easy to find Season Sets at $30 price range, make me want to slap my self for even attempting to collect over 80 DVD's of DBZ.

I really wish they would of released these Season Sets a long time ago and The way they take there sweet A$$ time to re-release this Series makes me wonder if there going to Re-re-release them again on (blu-ray) or try to release them like they did in Japan, with the Dragon Box which included all 291 Episodes in Two Large Box Sets and also included a large amount of DVD EXTRAS!!! Hmm.... Funimations! the ball's in your court!

Description:
Majin Buu Has Cut a Path of Destruction Across The Earth, Leaving Nothing But Devastation, It Could Even Be Beyond The Power of The Dragon Balls To Repair. 2.0 out of 5 stars Dragonball Down Grade!, November 1, 2008
This review is from: Dragon Ball GT: Season 1 (DVD)
I've already seen the entire series and even though I love DBZ this Next Level is really the lowest in the entire Dragon ball Series.
Every character is ether working at a job or just plain boring. The villains are kind of wack. The best scenes are mostly at the end of the series, like when they turns SSJ 4 Gogeta and fight Omega Shenron (By the way,I think the Super 17 saga was way worst than the Garlic JR. saga)

But if you still want to watch it and you're a big fan like me, start from the Second Season because the first is really Lame. Just don't expect it to be half as good as Dragonball or Dragonball z.
