5.0 out of 5 stars unreliable payout but mostly fun, October 14, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
5 stars because it's fun for free, but it's pretty unreliable in activating the payout multiplier when scratched off unless it's supposed to be random somehow.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great game, too bad they ruined this version with a needless code required to download the "included" additional content, February 3, 2011

MAKE SURE YOU ARE AWARE OF WHAT'S REALLY INCLUDED WITH THIS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE IT!

I recommend you save yourself the hassle involved and skip this packaged version of "Borderlands: Game of the Year edition" that really only includes the base Borderlands game on disc and then requires that you use an idiotic onetime use code to download the massive amount of data required to play the supposedly "included" extra content. Just purchase it from your preferred digital download store and you will likely be much happier in the end.

The decision to only supply a download code for the extra content instead of including it in the box on one or more separate DVDs is likely nothing more than an asinine money saving move on the publisher's part without any consumer benefit. This in and of itself prevents me from ever even thinking about recommending to others that they buy this fun game in this specific format. Having to back up the downloaded content (it's really not a small amount of data) and hoping not to run into any issues reinstalling it if wanting to play on a different computer in the future will likely be more trouble than the worth of any money you might be saving. How much fun will it be if your backup were to get misplaced or fail? What if you can't even get it downloaded and installed in the first place since they specifically state about the DLC code "These codes will become invalid after use...A new code cannot be provided, nor can data be guaranteed or restored in the event of a failed unlock or the loss of data due to a hardware malfunction."

With that said, I really like the gameplay (especially multiplayer co-op) and most of the extra content of this game enough that I also own it including all the DLC for my Xbox 360. Nevertheless, I highly regret purchasing this particular version for my PC instead of downloading it through Steam, despite that option costing more money at the time of my purchase especially since I had to download most of it anyway.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's bacon flavored salt, need I really say more?, February 3, 2011
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
It's salt that when used ads a pleasant flavor somewhat similar to bacon to whatever you put it on/in. I use the hickory flavor bacon salt primarily on hamburgers, but have tried other flavors of their bacon salt products in almost anything where salt is required or beneficial with mostly positive results. No complaints, I love this stuff, the other flavors of bacon salt, and their Baconnaise product as well.
