5.0 out of 5 stars I love this watch, December 2, 2010
I had this watch for several months, and I love this watch. It is beautiful navy blue, high quality, solid time piece.
It runs very precisely. It only gains 20 seconds after one month and it doesn't need battery.
If there is anything not perfect, it is the date. I have to adjust the dial if there are 30 days instead of 31 days in that month.

5.0 out of 5 stars undeniable truth and a lasting materpiece, November 12, 2004
Iris Chang stands up to remind the whole world crimes commited by

these Japanese troops, a undeniable truth denied shamelessly

again and again by Japanese themselves. This is a masterpiece and

a real serious explosure of the history.

History will not be forgotten, so does Iris Chang and her masterpiece.

5.0 out of 5 stars Prof. Goodman's Rock Mechanics, July 12, 2001
As a Ph.D student of Geotechnical Engineering at UC Berkeley, I recommend Prof. Goodman's "Introduction to Rock Mechanics". This book has been, and always is the kind of can't-afford-without reference book for every Engineer and Scientist in the field of rock Engineering and Enginnering geology.
This book treats many aspects of engineering properties of rock. Block Theory is actually the highlight of this book. By projecting 3-D block pyramids into 2-D steronet, the stability of slope cut comprised of jointed rock blocks becomes quite evident, and the analysis method is straight-forward and can performed by hand. Key blocks (removable blocks) could be identified and so does the corresponding bolting forces and so on. As put in the comments of Prof. Goodman's 35th Rankine Lecture (1995), Block Theory initiated by Prof. Goodman and Dr. Shi here at Berkeley really makes the once impossible 3D rock slope problem completely POSSIBLE. Block Thoery maybe one of the most elegant theory of this kind in Rock Engineering, and this book will give you the best introductory insight you could expect.
Kowning Prof. Goodman personally very well, I could say that he is really a "good man" , actually, one of the most distinguished figures in acadamics. His talent in both academics and musics makes this book very easy to read. Thus I strongly recommend this book to you, and hope to share with you the exciting world of ROCK.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book, July 5, 2001
A mechanics book by a great mathematician, Mathematical Theory of Elasticity by Sokolnikoff is the right one that could bring you much deep insight. His style of writing and his lucid explanation not only give you knowlege of mechanics but also distill you much mathematical confidence. I have dozens of Elasiticity books, and this one obviously belongs to one of the best I collected.
