I actually enjoyed Alien Vs Predator 2 I was disapointed with the first Alien Vs Predator as i did not like the whole plot and story. But with AVP 2 they atleast went back to the old aliens and predator themes. The first film didn't really have as much of the atmosphere of aliens and predator i mean don't get me wrong it did have alittle but it held back. AVP 2 isn't flawless but its a improvement in my opinion. The predator was back to a more old predator design but still with its own look and a new look aswell. I was concerned that when i heard about the predalien that they might mess up the look. Though you don't see the whole creature but i think they did a good job with the design it looked like half predator and half alien. It was new and it was cool to see a new kind of alien something we didn't see in the other alien films. The plot isn't bad though the characters most are not interesting some are likeable... But i can forgive the boring characters since our real focus is on the predator alien battle thats whats important. And another problem that many have complained about are how dark some of the scenes are in the final battle between the predator and predator alien its very dark at times you can't see whats going on its very distracting. But i enjoyed the film none the less. The plot and story picks up where the first film left off the predator ship carrying the predator known as scar from the battle at the pyramid who was killed by the queen alien who also was pregnated by a alien. His body is left on a table in the ship as it departs earth then a alien chest burster bursts its way out of scars chest then quickly attacks most of the predators on the ship. The ship crashed onto earth in Colorado where the predalien and several other aliens escape and began attacking people breeding many aliens who infest the town. A lone predator is sent down to clean up the mess. He arrives at the the crash site and enters the predators crashed ship and uses one of thr dead predators helmets to watch the video play back of what happened then he gears up with weapons and prepares for battle. He hunts down some aliens in a sewer taking them out but is unable to kill the predalien who retreats up to the city. The predator hunts down and kills several alien in a power plant where the battle knocks out all power in the city. Meanwhile the predalien attack a young woman working at a restaurant who is revealed to be pregnant. It is revealed that the predalien is some kind of queen and she can force alien embryos down the throats of pregnant women to spawn more aliens. After planting alien babies into the woman working at the restaurant aliens burst out of her stomach. The predalien enters a hospital and begans the samething impregnating pregnant women at the hospital. Predator arrives and begins battling several aliens while a group of survivors also take shelter in the hospital they quickly get caught up in the middle of the predator and alien fight. Marines or some kind of army force plan to bomb the whole town to contain the problem. The final battle between the predator and predalien finally happens they pick each other apart in a gruesome battle unto the marines bomb the town destroying everything. The final survivors escape the city before the explosion. The ending reveals that the marines found one of the predators weapons and a cia like woman says the world isn't ready for this kind of technology leaving open for a sequel. My final thoughts on the film is that its a great ride its got many ingredients that are in the other alien and predator films its a fun movie to watch if you're a predator or alien fan. Its got plenty of gore that was not present on the first film. I think the film is underrated it's not as bad as others say.

Being a big fan of Watain and hearing about this DVD CD set I had to have it. Watain are known for there epic live shows and this video highlights it but also includes interviews with Eric vocalist of the band and many ritualistic footage. I think he describes the symbols the meaning and what Watain stand for in this video on the DVD part it helps people to understand more about the band. Combined with Watain's out of this world performance and truely shows why Watain is one of the best Black Metal bands who stick to their roots. And this video truely shows how passionate the band is about their band their music and their religious believes and expression. Eric does not try to appear evil in the interviews or scary but a very soft spoken guy. Not many Black Metal bands give or in invite people into their world or believes like Watain does I enjoyed the DVD and the interviews. The live performance footage I should talk more about as I said it was a epic performance they chose a great setlist of songs and they were performed great the sound and video is awesome great atmosphere. And on to the two CDs in the set they contain the whole concert on two CDs very good performance great performance of the songs I am very satisfied with this set I have no negative things to say about it. I think its a great set that any fan of Watain will enjoy I recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very old ICP Good debut, December 28, 2013
This review is from: Carnival Of Carnage (Audio CD)
If you discovered icp through their new stuff then you will be surprised by this album they sound old school on here this is their first joker's card icp combine horror core and rap on this album as with their other albums I like the sound of this album the songs lyrics deal with theames of rising up against the rich for ignoring the poor anti racist and anti redneck violent j seems to be the main Singer on here their are some serious songs on here I like ever song but my favorites would be the title song first day out, redneck hoe, rebel flag, and ghetto freakshow the sound is a bit dated icp would evolve on their second album but I liked this album and I consider it a important album in icp's catalog its their roots but their newer albums sound different but this album is still classic if you're a icp fan and you don't have this album I see no reason why you shouldn't pick this up but keep in mind this is a debut and icp were younger their later albums sound different their sound was still evolving but if you want to hear where icp came from this is their roots and every icp fan should have in their collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic ICP, December 27, 2013
This review is from: Terror Wheel (Audio CD)
I remember when I bought this EP in the late 90s on tape at the mall this is classic icp this was one the side eps they released in between albums this was during the ringmaster era its a shame they stopped releasing these kinda eps but even though this was from the ringmaster era it sounds nothing like the ringmaster it sounds more like the riddlebox in fact the dead body man is later released on the riddlebox this has some cool tales I miss these kinda songs that icp made its a short record but icp pack some good songs the dead body man is classic but skitsofrantic is funny the smog is a good one too the only song I didn't like much was out but Amy's in the attic is good its a bit creepy with a eerie riff that plays through out the song where violent j accidently kills his friend Amy then she haunts him I think this is a nice little record any icp fan would like especially if you like old icp stuff if you liked the ringmaster and the riddlebox you should like this its more closer to the riddlebox though I'd recommend this to any icp fan.

Howling V
Howling V

5.0 out of 5 stars Howling 5 One of the better sequels, November 27, 2013
This review is from: Howling V (Amazon Instant Video)
Its well known The Howling is a classic remains one of the best werewolf movies ever. The sequels never were connected to one another with the exception of Howling 2 which is loosely based on the first film but it adds super natural elements but I liked 2 it is weird but 5 is a stronger movie in the series the plot is interesting it takes place in a old castle with a ancient history tied in with a werewolf curse the opening scene is bizarre I won't spoil it but it sets this story in motion a family history with a werewolf curse in a castle. We flash forward to the present day in Hungary a group of people with different backgrounds are gathered at a hotel to see the ancient castle in the beginning of the film they ride on a bus and we start to hear the background on some of the group they hit some kind of animal which surprise the group they then arrive at the castle and began talking among themselves about the castle's myths. One thing I like about this movie is the suspence you see the characters being watched by someone who we know is the werewolf but we don't know who it is the group splits up and when the people are alone they get killed silently by the unseen werewolf now I like the mystery but it sucks we never see the werewolf in a whole only in dark shadows but maybe its good for the mystery but I think the film is on a low budget so they couldn't build a realistic werewolf costume. But there is a creepiness to this movie being in a castle with a werewolf and it being in the middle of a blizzard creates a creepy mood when I first seen this I thought the count was the werewolf he seemed suspicious though I won't spoil it we do learn one of the group is a werewolf the count reveals that to the group but like me the group thinks its the count some of the group is hunted down one by one one thing I didn't understand is the werewolf bursts through a door to kill one of the people I didn't understand how anyone wouldn't hear that as one of the group was around where the victim was at but I don't know. The final minutes of the film it is revealed who the werewolf is now we think at first you think you know who it is then right before the credits we see who it was perfect ending. I don't have too many bad things to say about this movie the acting isn't bad the guy who played the count was a good actor this is a better film then some of the other movies before it course the first movie is the best but if you hadn't seen the first movie don't worry this is not connected to it except for it being a werewolf movie but I would recommend this movie next to the first one.

I think next to Halloween 2 this is the best horror sequel it has the same ingredients that made the original. Like the original the movie starts out with the killer as a mystery you don't know who it is but this is the first sequel to feature Jason as the killer. But what I like about this one is jason wasn't famous yet he has a sack over his head instead of a hockey mask he stalks new people that come to reopen the camp nit knowing they are being stalked the kills are as creative as the first this has always been a favorite sequel of mine the only flaws I can see is the movie is too short but still it makes up for that and many of the kills sadly have been cut you barely see much blood in some of the kills but still the movie is good now I will also review this about the new deluxe edition of the movie the first eight Friday the 13th movies have been reissued with special features now the flaw of the deluxe edition of part two is there isn't much special features no deleted scenes no commentary like some of the other Friday deluxe editions sadly part two doesn't have much just afew scenes from conventions for the Friday the 13th movies interviews with some of the actors that played Jason. And a interview with the guy who wrote the book called crystal lake memories its very interesting and gives you info on the movie. Part two kinda is left as a mystery I have heard about many of the uncut scenes but nothing has been released. But I enjoy this movie so the lack of special features doesn't ruin the movie for me I would like a commentary or to see some deleted scenes but the movie is a good sequel if you haven't seen it I would recommend it Jason is alittle different in here but he is more human but I like the way he lurks and stalks in this movie I think this is better then the original it's a enjoyable movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars A True Black metal classic, June 21, 2012

In a year where many well known Black Metal bands were releasing albums 94 Mayhem released there Black Metal masterpiece De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas. Emperor released there debut album. Burzum released a album so alot of bands were releasing albums in that year but the bands i mentioned were the well known ones so it was a tough task to come out in the Black Metal scene and stand out with there own sound well Gorgoroth did with there debut album Pentagram Gorgoroth were still very young at the time but i consider pentagram to be one of the best Black Metal albums i have ever heard. The album kinda mixs fast brutal riffs with very melodic riffs with very deep dark moods some songs are very fast aggressive songs then there are some that are more melodic some start out very fast but then slow down and become melodic for example crushing the scepter starts out fast but slows down alittle but its the end part that really has a dark feeling infernus's guitar playing really is what drives the riffs and feelings but i can't forget Hat he is a very unique vocalist he sounds so inhuman with his screams i should say that if you aren't into Black Metal singers who really scream in a high pitched way then you might want to pass on this album because Hat screams his lungs out on this album but the amazing thing i noticed is if you listen to many of the songs Hats vocals really follow the guitar riffs and he changes his tone as the guitar changes singing along with the guitars almost changing the mood with the riffs thats what makes him very unique and i must not forget Goat he also helps with the mood of this album his drums do add a very aggressive feeling to the songs some might say that he doesn't play as well as frost who would later play drums on the next Gorgoroth album but i think goat adds to the songs and his drums aren't boring you do notice them. I should also mention that this album would be the last album to feature the original Gorgoroth line up Hat Infernus and Goat so that also makes this album special. But also samoth of Emperor also plays session bass on this album i mentioned Emperor before. But i think due to the fact that you can't hear what Hat is saying you only focus on the music and i think the album does tell kinda a story in a way each song goes together well and it ends with the perfect closer song one of my favorite gorgoroth songs Maaneskyggens slave a more slower song it starts off kinda heavy but its the change in tone of the guitars in the middle that really creates the beautiful melodic feeling Infernus' guitar playing really shines on this song and the mood and feeling stays the same for the rest of the song then after the song ends you get this feeling of almost being on a emotional dark journey. this is a perfect debut album for Gorgoroth i think and if you enjoy Burzum and like Varg's old vocal style then you should like this album. If you are new to Gorgoroth and don't know what album to get first i would recommend this album or if you are just a Black Metal fan looking for a old album from the early scene this is a great album to pick up.

5.0 out of 5 stars A dark dreamy journey., March 25, 2012

Of all the xasthur albums that i own i think this is my favorite so far. The sound that malefic created on this album is really unique as is all his albums. The album sounds like a hateful depressive dreamlike expierence everything sounds alot more balanced on this album. The debute album nocturnal poisoning which is a great album aswell and i would recommend everyone to listen to that album first then this one because it shows the mood and feel that the funeral of being continues on with but it doesn't have that much of a dreamlike sound like this album does. Just like the title says it is like a funeral of your being you find yourself getting lost in this dreamlike journey the guitars have a very dark feel to them and malefic's painful and hateful screams are very loud on this album. The intro song The awaking to the unknown perception of evil sets you up for this dreamy journey through hate darkness and depression. I think this is one of the best sounding xasthur albums. I really recommend this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars A awesome black metal show, December 28, 2010
This review is from: Black Mass Krakow 2004 (DVD)
all the attention that this show had got back in 04 and you thought that this dvd would never get released but here it is. i think they did put on a great show for this dvd and they really did make this a big special performance.the dvd sounds good i think and they did perform alot of great songs though one thing that was disapointing about this dvd is they didn't perform anything from the pentagram album but i think the reason why is because gaahl wuln't be able to pull off those kinda vocals. but anyway they do play a good amount of old songs but on some songs gaahl doesn't sound that good his voice gets kinda bad and some of the songs that pest had sang on gaahl didn't sing the songs as good but he tried and they still sound good though and its not his fault i think some of the bestsongs performed on here is forces of satan storms profetens apenbaring unchain my heart blood stains the circle but every song is good on here. and the guitars sound great infernus plays the riffs like only he can though there is another guitarist aswell which is Apollyon. though it seems like infernus is the only one that really headbangs and rocks out while playing the guitar but some people may not really care about that but he is interesting to watch when he's headbanging because it just fits with a metal show. but anyway gaahl sings and has such a presence and the way he often turns his head and looks its cool and lets talk about the stage show the sheep heads all over the place and the nude models wich feature both female and male models on crosses which do help with the mood of the show the two female modelsdo catch your eye when the camera is on them. and i should mention that Kvitrafn really does a good job with the drums he nails them all very good. good camera shots too of the band but some people may get annoyed by some of the shots that show the sheep heads and the stage fence in the shots with the band there's even a camera on the drums. i would say if your a fan of gorgoroth then i think you would enjoy this and you will see plenty of gorgoroths classic songs they play alot from the under the sign of hell album. and if your a black metal fan then you should also enjoy this. but i should also mention there's some special features too two songs performed from wacken which are bootleg picture and sound but its still good to have and alot of pics aswell from gorgoroth shows and from the poland show and promo shots aswell afew old ones of the band too.

This review is from: Those of the Unlight (Audio CD)
This album is my favorite album by marduk besides dark endless. and the line up was great on this album too but the whole sound and songs are just perfect. and joakim gothberg takes over on vocals here and still plays the drums and he really kicks ass on the vocals and one thing i like about this album is it has fast heavy songs and then it has slow songs which are great. there third album opus nocturne does this too.everything sounds good on this album the guitars and as i said before the vocals and joakim also plays the drums perfect on this album especially on the song wolves. there's some great fast songs like on darkened wings and wolves then the instrumental song echoes from the past is a very soft slow song that really has a great mood to it. and burn my coffin is a awesome song. and back to the vocals for a minute because i didn't really mention how uniqe joakims vocals are he uses his vocals in many differant ways sometimes he just screams and he hits the mood of the song perfectly. and morgan as always plays the guitars great too. i think this is one of the best black metal albums ever. and if you have only heard marduks later stuff then you will be surprised how differant they sounded back then but i think people that got into marduk through there later stuff will enjoy this album.
