I started the Shred Power Cleanse on January 1. It was easy to follow, inspiring, and the plan and smoothies kept me from feeling hungry. After the 2 weeks, I had lost 9 lbs. I was thrilled with the program and highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get going on your new year's resolution to lose weight. Dr. Ian also was active in the Facebook community to support those on the shred cleanse and will be running a challenge starting the first of every month for 2016.
I've been a fan of Mary Hart Perry's Princess series about Queen Victoria's daughters. And the third in the set, The Shadow Princess, is just as compelling. This well-written Victorian Romantic Suspense novel draws you into the life of Princess Vicki and Inspector Thomas Edmondson as they join forces to track down Jack the Ripper. Nice balance of attraction and danger makes this one a keeper.
I've been a fan of Nancy Baggett's and Ruth Glick's cookbooks for many years. The newest edition has all the great taste--and less of the calories--a perfect combination for keeping on your diet. I've been doing the Shred and Super Shred diet and the soups and under 200 calories meals work well with that plan. I've tried several of the soups and they are very satisfying and easy to prepare.
Simply Sensational Cookies is a treat for everyone who loves cookies. My favorites from the book are the Double-Almond Double-Chocolate Biscotti and the shortcut cranberry crumb bars. Yummy--and easy to make. The directions are easy to understand and the pictures are beautiful. I look forward to trying many more of the recipes. Not only have I been enjoying this book, but I've bought four copies of Simply Sensational Cookies to give as gifts. I know friends and family will love it, too.
