5.0 out of 5 stars Great headphones for a great price, February 9, 2014

I really like these headphones. The sound quality is amazing. I used apple earbuds before so it's not exactly a fair comparison. These are really well made, compact and they fold easily.

3.0 out of 5 stars Looks great but doesn't work right., January 11, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
As soon as I saw this pug clock, I immediately fell in love. The look of a pug in starry night by Vincent van Gogh screamed (get it?) classic. Unfortunately, aesthetics aside, this is a poor excuse for a clock. It doesn’t work properly; it just flickers mostly because it was made cheaply. Also the hour hand and minute hand don’t match up properly. When it looks like it’s on 5 o’clock, if you turn it ahead one hour, it goes to what looks like 7 o’clock.

All together though, it looks fantastic but if you want an actual clock that works, I wouldn’t trust purchasing this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars With its middle finger firmly brandished at everything our society holds dear..., March 11, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bronson [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
To say that lead actor Tom Hardy is gonzo-brilliant is nearly as understating as the complete overlooking of his performance throughout award season. Director Refn's approach here is as viscerally punctuated and artistically daring as anything in his excellent "Pusher Trilogy."

4.0 out of 5 stars Hollywood Hokum at it's most shamelessly entertaining, March 11, 2010
This review is from: The Vikings (DVD)
The cast is impeccable, the melodrama is lusty, the score is buoyant, the historical inaccuracies abound, the action is rollicking and the location work is gorgeous. It's a little action-lite for a Viking film, but none-the-less it's thoroughly enjoyable.

4.0 out of 5 stars More Fennessy folly and Gilliam Wonderment, March 11, 2010
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The Amazon reviewer Kathleen Fennessy onces again makes errors in the details of her review. I'm not trying to launch a personal attack against her, but it seems to be a reoccurring theme in her otherwise decent reviews. The deal is not that Parnassus gives the Devil 5 souls by his daughter's 16 birthday, it's instead a competition between to the two to be the first to reach an allotted amount of souls before her birthday.

On to the film, if you enjoy Gilliam, then you're likely to enjoy this Faustian Fable. It is phantasmorphical nearly to levels of cartoonery, and it's all quite weird, but it's also uniquely rendered and wildly imaginative. The main fault I found with it was it's meandering narrative progression in the first half, and it's somewhat anticlimactic denouement in the 2nd. Still, I enjoyed it, and felt it begged for a 2nd viewing and think that 1080p will serve it very well.

1.0 out of 5 stars A bit of sham, July 30, 2007

I was looking forward to this but it's a slim paper back book with a bland text book cover. It's certainly not worth the price.

4.0 out of 5 stars psycho sexual rumblings in a b&w cinemascope western=vintageFuller, November 9, 2006
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Forty Guns (DVD)
This is deffinitely a different Western. The plot is convulted to say the least and the film is wraught with double entendra's and people getting shot at the end of nearly every scene. Not to mention it was an early cinemascope picture, which Fuller makes great use of in his compositions. Fuller was always so underated. If you love classic 50's westerns and you're open minded it's worth your time.
