5.0 out of 5 stars The Real Deal, heirloom quality at discounted price, April 1, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Absolutely gorgeous heirloom-quality crystal vase. The color pops really well in sunlight-- not so much in artificial or dim light.

One big thing I was worried about was how it would ship. This ships in a box within a box, and the waterford box itself is obviously designed for safe shipping. The box is a good place to store the vase when not in use-- it "snaps" shut via magnetic closure.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value charge & sync cable, more expensive cord from Apple is 2/3 the length of this one., April 1, 2015
I was provided this unit free of charge in exchange for my unbiased review on this and other sites.

This is a lightning charge AND sync cable for newer iOS devices. People burned by 3rd party cables in the past can buy with confidence here.

I feel that the price point is a little steep on an absolute scale (ie, how much it likely costs the company compared to how much it's marked up). However, on a relative scale, a new lightning cable from apple that's 2 meters in length (that's 6.6 feet, 33% shorter than this cable) runs $29 on apple's site. That makes this one a good value on a relative scale.

That, paired with the fact that Mota has been around for some time and isn't a "pop up" quick-buck company, makes this a wise choice if you're in need of a long sync/charge cable for your newer iDevice.

4.0 out of 5 stars Heavy Duty Net- once set up, fold & stow. Well thought-out., February 10, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was provided this unit by Rukket in exchange for my honest review. As of this writing, I've spent around an hour with it putting it through it's paces-- setup, hitting, tear down, stowage.

I am an owner of the SKLZ Quickster Golf Net with Target and the Callaway FT Launch Zone Hitting Mat. It's only natural that I compare this package with these.

Quick summary followed by details: 4 stars because of price and one area of improvement-- the net slack.

Like the Quickster, this net is BIG. Unless you scoop a shot with your wedge or stand too far away, you're not going to hit over this. Hit the driver, 8, 9 iron, with confidence.

One thing off the bat (club?)-- the patch of turf that you get with this Rukket package is FAR superior to the Callaway FT in size, versatility, and club-grounding forgiveness. The mat if you look for something similar in size and thickness probably sells for $100 or more. It is still a mat that you do not stand upon. This does need to be considered. You will probably want to stand on a riser pad of 1/2" or so to put your feet on the same level as the ball when using this mat.

The net & frame is extremely well designed. After using the directions to set everything up, the fit and finish is top-of-the-line. Things are color coded, holes in proper spots, and no fidgeting to get a piece to work as directed. I feel like if a football player ran into it at full speed, they'd be stopped in their tracks. The net has taken my full swings with a real golf ball without a flinch.

Compared to the Quickster, there is much less play to the net on the Rukket. I think that this is what they consider to be the "ball return" feature. Ball return is great in theory, and I think that this net right out of the box has just enough spring to send a ball back without launching it. That is-- if you're on level ground. As I quickly discovered, on my sloped porch, ball return meant chasing a ball downhill sometimes. Other times, the net slack caught the ball as I would normally like. This net is best used on level ground for the ball return feature to work well.

The quickster (not this net) advertises 90 second setup and take downs. That's only sort-of right. WIth the quickster you can get it down in maybe 90 seconds but you're left with a pile of loose poles and a loose net that you need to fold and stow. The bag that comes with the quickster is flimsy and unless the poles & net are rolled & stowed perfectly, the bag is not possible to close properly.

This Rukket on the other hand has a few pins to pull/push, and then everything folds neatly for stowage in the INCREDIBLY STURDY Bag. I'm not kidding-- you could probably fit another 50 pounds in the storage bag. That's one other difference. Because you're paying for heavy duty, this is... well, heavy. 40 pounds for shipping and not much of that was due to packaging. The net and frame probably weigh 35 or so.

In addition to the net/frame, storage bag, and hitting mat, you get side nets that you can optionally put on and stake down. This is GREAT if you're somewhere where you would rue a wayward shot or aren't confident in your ability to make good contact. Hitting in your front yard next to your Ferrari? Use the side netting for that extra bit of insurance. The side netting is made of the same heavy duty materials as the main net, and is cleverly it's own stowage bag.

In summary you get a system that has obviously had a lot of thought put into it compared to the other guys. This is a premium golf product made with heavy duty materials that I'd wager will outlast the quickster. I think I'd be comfortable leaving this net outside in rain compared to the quickster. That's where you get the price difference. The design, heavy duty, and ease of use (after initial setup of course) makes this net a big convenience boost over the others.

I personally think it could be improved a bit. More net slack for people in situations like me, where you don't necessarily mind shagging 40 balls at a time out of the net. I'd like to be able to buy the net by itself perhaps, without the turf pad, if that would shave some $$ off. Like I said, it's a nice pad, but if I'm not playing on a course I'd probably spring for a larger and pricier stand-on-it turf pad. I learned my lesson with the tiny and unforgiving Callaway FT. This pad is much nicer but it's still a bit of a comprimise to a "stand on it" pad. Lastly, I think that if the net came pre-installed on the frame, it would add a "premium" feel to the buyer upon opening the box for the first time.

If you've got the dough, and you want top notch quality/durability, this is the clear choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mindbending, touching, dark, comedic, musical, brilliant. Fassbender with a performance for the ages., February 6, 2015
This review is from: Frank (DVD)
This movie takes you on a trip that you'll never forget. You'll end up with an earworm (I love you all), and similarly, a brainworm by the end. The guy in the funny mask is just the initial jolt. More jarring (in all ways-- not just bad) are the personalities of the ensemble. Everyone is a character at some point along a continuum path. The film's ginger protagonist is by far nearer to the start line than the others. With the mask you forget that you're watching Sir Fassbender. He becomes a completely different creature, and it's wonderful and award-worthy.

I'm going to stop there. If you like tidy, simple films wrapped in a bow with a happy ending, this movie is not for you. It's simply wonderful-- one of the best I've seen this decade. With music to match. Itchy britches.

4.0 out of 5 stars 2am Power Outage? BEEP BEEP BEEP. No way to stop the beeping. Works well otherwise, January 25, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
No way to turn off the beeping. You evidently need to buy a higher end unit to get it to "just silently work".

Other than the beeping (which makes a late night outage jarring) the unit works.

2.0 out of 5 stars Go with the cheaper, more functional alternatives. This unit drives me crazy., January 25, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Extremely disappointing for the price. You must position the phone PRECISELY for the charging to work.

It's a slick looking unit compared to the more affordable and more functional qi chargers, but that's all it has over those.

Go with items like RAVPower Wireless Charger Charging Pad Qi-Enabled USB Charger Phone Charger for Nexus 5 / 7 / 4 which work BETTER with the nexus. And are cheaper.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just OK. 3 same-sized cubes despite the product image. No enforcement of shape., January 25, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
All 3 cubes are the same size despite the optical illusion in the product photo, and the fuzzy language in the product title.

These are very nice, but I would have hoped that the bottom and top would be semi rigid. There is almost NO depth enforcement on the cubes. If you want to overstuff it, you can. I would like some reinforcement and compression capability.

4.0 out of 5 stars Strap angle is weird, otherwise a great kindle case., January 25, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The holding angle is still weird, causing weird cramping. I think rotating the strap, or relocating it to 1 or both extreme edges, would be a great product improvement. Think about how people typically hold a book-- at the edge, on the lower or upper corner. The strap covers none of those areas, and makes you contort your wrist to get the proper angles.

Aside from that the case is fantastic. Great build quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Qi charger for Nexus 5, January 25, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Bought this for Nexus 5. This is FAR superior to the Nexus wireless charger, which requires exact placement and fiddling.

With this charger, I plop it down, and the phone starts charging (thru a thin case too).

In a dark room, the "charging" LED is a little bright. I recommend taping over it with duct tape.

Simple, straightforward, great unit.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice unit, once it's assembled!, October 14, 2014
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was provided this unit at no charge for unbiased review by Rukket. I'm going to break this down into various steps. Packaging, assembly, finished unit, and breakdown/stowability.

PACKAGING (pre assembly): 5 stars
The unit comes in a long, thin rectangular box. The heft and thickness of the cardboard is remarkable, and the purpose of it is clear-- the contents should not be bent during shipping. The box was very well sealed, and the contents arrived as expected.

ASSEMBLY: 3 1/2 stars
The goal ships disassembled. You have to assemble it the first time prior to use. Give yourself some extra time, because it's not very easy. I believe that it took me about 20 minutes from start to finish. The goal is just big enough to be awkward to work with, and you must snake tent poles through flexible fabric, and insert/seat them into a very specifically sized hole. That's not all! When you're done with that, you must work the ends of the poles into a "L" junction. You need to apply some muscle to get the poles to bend enough to seat into the L piece. If the poles aren't seated deep enough into the fabric end, you won't have luck with the L junction. If I were to make any suggestions to the retailer, I'd consider shipping these assembled in a more costly flat pack, then pass the cost to the customers. It would solve some groan factor.
Once the goal has been assembled, it's very easy to leave standing up.

FINISHED UNIT: 5 stars
This is a very nice quality goal. The goal posts are padded- it's a very nice touch and should help players avoid collision injury, compared to other goals without padding. Next, because the goal stood up to my bumbling and muscling, I must comment that the stitching and nylon have held up just fine. My assembly is probably the height of the abuse that this will take, and I did not notice any tears, bending, or stitching coming out. The netting material is the same style that you'll see on fullsize soccer goals. Not the tighter mesh you'll find on golf nets and smaller soccer popups. So forget about using a 3" ball with this net-- the ball is likely to fly right through. Great quality for the money.

BREAKDOWN/STOWABILITY: 4.5 stars
To break down the net you NEED TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. Once you've done it you'll understand it much better. This folds flat into a bivalve triangle shape, about 4 feet at the widest. Very tidy to store it behind a closet door, flat in your trunk, etc. There is indeed a piece of nylon webbing that serves as a shoulder strap in this configuration. I liken the folding motion as similar to my car sun shade. You kind of have to twist it in on itself.

Very nice unit, once it's assembled! Again if this shipped assembled & folded, I think we'd have a clear 5 star product.
