5.0 out of 5 stars Possibly the best guitar strap I've ever owned., July 13, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is possibly(likely) the best guitar strap I have ever owned, and I'm not all that young. The material is just the right amount of soft, the strap is longer than typical straps. I'm a big guy, and i'm not using it fully extended, honestly Andre the Giant could have probably rocked this strap without any issues. Also the guitar hole is snug, and actually takes some effort to get your guitar in, which also means it doesn't constantly slip out either. I ended up buying 2 of these because I couldn't decide which guitar to put my older and crappy "Rocksteady" strap on. Seriously, I am struggling to think of a single grip, oh one, i wish they made a Grommit strap. Doesn't even matter if it doesn't last, the comfort is beyond expectations and price, if this thing broke in a year i would probably still buy another with a smile on my face. I'm not usually so happy with Fender products, heck I even have grips about my Jaguar guitar, but this one left me 100% satisfied. I will try to remember to update this in a few years if I have any problems at all with it, but in comparison to all other straps I've owned, it kills every last other one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nowhere near as impossible as the reviews would lead you to believe., May 22, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
So I felt I had to give this thing a proper review. Buying it i thought for sure I was going to have to send it back, but turned out people were way off on this. I'm not going to get into how useful it is, I think that's more than obvious. I am going to talk about how functional it is to ride with. Quickly, all you have to do is wrap it somewhere on your bike, if you care deeply about scratching your expensive bike, then just give it up, and put your bike on a wall somewhere, you're a fool for buying something like this and expecting it to not scratch up your bike. I would assume this is aimed at heavy riders, wanting to keep their transportation/hobby/etc safe as a priority above everything else. I'm including a pic on how I wrapped it around mine. Rode for 3 hours today with no issues with anything, it sat tight, and didn't rub me. Of course there was a learning curve to figure out how to wrap it without disrupting my ride, but it's actually much more functional to ride with than the U-Lock, as i also own a fahgettaboudit U Lock as well. I will update in a few months if i have any issues over time, but for right now, I'm honestly shocked this isn't Kryptonite's most popular lock.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quick guide for an easier installation, great product when installed right., April 12, 2015
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Easy to use, but i can see how people get frustrated with it, i will list really quickly what you need to know.
1. Try to run the wire along your break line, otherwise make sure you don't attach it anywhere that will pull it when you turn your wheel.
2. Take it out of packaging, to initialize it, take something small and press the "AC" gray button on the back.
3. Then press the set button (Then to get to each different setting you will need to press the front grey button)
(Not sure about the order of these, listing it all from memory)
A. Pick whether MPH of KM is best (Miles of kilometers)
A. First set tire size (should be listed on your tire itself)
B. Set either 12 or 24 hour (standard is 12, 24 is military time)
C. HERE IS WHERE MOST HAVE TROUBLE... Do not press the grey button, if you did cycle back to the 12 and 24 setting. When your on
the 12 or 24, hold down the grey button till the hour flashes, then set your hour. Hold it down again till the minutes flash, then set your minutes.
D. DO NOT PRESS AC AGAIN UNLESS YOU WANT TO RESET IT (i'd advise covering it if you think you might accidentally press it)
4. Make sure the part of the plastic sensor facing the spoke is the part that says "sensor" on it, other side will not pick anything up
5. Make sure you have the spoke sensor and plastic sensor close enough if you're not picking anything up.

MPH - Speed
Time - Time you've ridden
AV - Average speed
MX - Max speed for ride
OD - Overall miles ridden (like a car)

Other pointers:
1. Pick up extra zip ties before even beginning if you want to install correctly (can be found at any "large store" or any hardware store)
2. I took off all sticky foam, and threw out extra as well, it just lets stuff move around more, and is useless.
3. You will need those small zip ties to install readout on handles, so i recommend installing readout first, make sure you don't install upside down either.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reznor and Ross do it again; another excellent score., January 9, 2015
This review is from: Gone Girl (Audio CD)
So far this has turned out to be my favorite work by Ross and Reznor, this really shocked me because I thought nothing was going to top their "Social Network" score. This score is entirely different from their previous scores, in fact, I didn't even care much at all for "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but admittedly I think that was hugely influenced by my not caring much for the film either (was a remake needed there?...). Here, Fincher and the Ross and Reznor team are back in full swing, this movie is excellent, and the soundtrack matches it perfectly. This was another one of those situations where i wasn't sure if i really liked the film because of the music, or vice-versa; in my opinion, that is the best sign of when the music/movie mixture is done right, it's a shame all movies don't leave you feeling this way. The music has a very haunting almost nineties tone to it with the stylistic and instrumental approach (a lot of really soft tones used, and warm instrumentation), it feels incredibly artificial even to the point that the music itself sounds almost sarcastic at times, then it drifts slowly into darker and uglier tones. There isn't any really pop oriented pieces in this score, like in "Social.." or "Girl...", but i think it would have destroyed the score to take that route, i'm glad it didn't have any cheesy covers, or 4x4 beat driven parts. It's a score, and truly sounds like one. Personally, i hope they get another Oscar for this one. If you're looking for an all-around solid representation of the score in a single track, try listening to track 15 "Technically Missing", this track pretty wall covers the warm subtleties and aggressive, more distorted noisy tones of the score. I will finish with saying i am a huge fan of both Reznor in general, and Fincher as well, so i might be a bit bias, but as i said, didn't care at all for the Dragon Tattoo score, so maybe not too bias.

5.0 out of 5 stars Arguably their best work, and easily their most debated, September 27, 2014
This review is from: The Process (MP3 Music)
Probably their Magnum Opus, "The Process" is easily one of Puppy's more debated albums among fans. The problem with this album is it's a pop sensible rock album from an anti-pop and in a sense anti-rock band. Tracks like "Candle" and "Cult" ride the line on being rock songs, while tracks like "Death", "Hardset Head", and "Curcible" ride the line on being straight up metal songs. This is easily the most mainstream accessible album they made in their original incarnation (several tracks were even used throughout the nineties on movies soundtracks, not artsy or counter-culture movies either, mainstream movies; ie. see Suburbia). At this point Puppy had pretty much left behind their new wavy synth lines and drum machine tracks years ago for a more metal influenced noisy and heavy sound. The issue people have is that this album took a swift turn at Last rights, and went sharply left towards rock/pop. From a music lover's perspective in general this album is a masterpiece, flowing seamlessly from beginning to end (If you play it on repeat, the first and last track actually loop into each other). There is little to no filler, from a band that though i love, has a substantial track record of making overly indulgent abstract noise tracks for the album's sake more than listening pleasure (listen to "fritter, Stella's home" from VIVsectVI to get a perfect example of this). The Process is good, maybe too good? At least too slick in a sense anyways for Puppy fans to handle. The reality is though, that SP were a constantly evolving band in their original incarnation, they never kept one sound for longer than an album or two, and after "Last Rights", this was a pretty rational direction for them to take; they had delved about as far into the Last Rights and Too Dark Park sound as they could without being redundant, or standing still, and going more nosy would have probably just led them back to the VIVIsectVI sound. Looking at all the album's together this album is a natural progression, though many fans would likely ague that. From the band's perspective this album was practically cursed; it more or less broke up the band, and shortly after it's inception one of the members died. and supposedly the sessions were plagued with issues among band members, and issues with drugs as well. There was never even a tour or anything to promote "The Process", and the studio sessions were so problematic and costly that Def-American actually dropped their other planned 2 next albums with SP because of it. So from everything listed it's easy to understand why this album gets so much abuse. In the end, "The Process" is a really good, little to no filler, well produced album (that DESPERATELY needs a vinyl reissue), and if nothing else, it makes an excellent gateway into the SP catalog.

Crosley Stereo Turntable Sound System Cr66-pa Rochester
Crosley Stereo Turntable Sound System Cr66-pa Rochester
10 used & new from $90.00

1.0 out of 5 stars Broken right out of the box., September 15, 2014
These Crosley stereos are pretty much garbage. Mine was a gift, i honestly would never have bought this. Admittedly they're nice to look at, but the internal parts are made up of the cheapest components imaginable. My tape deck was broken out of the box. Literally the first time i put a tape in it, it ate the tape, and have since had to just pretend it didn't have a tape deck. Within 2 months of owning it the volume knob became scratchy and has stayed that way, and at this point i just use it as a occasional turntable and radio, the CD player works fine, but i barely own CDs anymore so, yeah. I wouldn't dare buy another one of these, and can't imagine why anyone else would either. I will say if nothing else at all, it is nice to look at, and is a functional turntable, but i wouldn't be putting anything like original pressing albums that are irreplaceable on it. These things (ALL Crosley stereos) shouldn't be selling for anything more than 50 dollars max, because that is pretty much how valuable they will be. I would say literally anything else out there will probably be better for you, anything.

1.0 out of 5 stars THIS PRODUCT IS DANGEROUS!!!!, August 14, 2013
Why am i writing such a critical review? I can give a laundry list of reasons.
1) Constant painful gas
2) Boils all over my face and painful acne.
3) Insomnia and paranoia.
4) Wild mood swings, bouts of depression.
5) Swollen gums and painful dental problems
6) And last but not least, a massive addiction to this garbage.

After about a year and this laundry list of side effects, i finally gave up and started smoking again, this worst part was i was actually so strongly addicted to these things, that i ended up not being satisfied by cigarettes, it was like quitting smoking all over again just getting off the niccorette. This company hides behind the fact that your only supposed to be on this product for a short period of time, in other words, they are not responsible for you using an addictive substance which they are selling and getting people hooked on, i find this company even more scummy than the cigarette companies, at least they don't pretend they are helping people!

In the end i went back to smoking for a few months, figured out another plan, and quit with the aid of a few products (NatraBio Smoking Withdrawal tablets & One Step Filters, some coffee candies, mints, and tooth picks; tooth picks are the only thing i still use) In the end i was able to quit after about a month of using the filter system and NatraBio pills. I was really happy to quit, but still, my blood boils when i think of how this company gets away with peddling this garbage. I would suggest a non nicotine alternative to quitting over this stuff any day. Do your own research, my side effects are not that rare, also most doctors strongly recommend against using these, you can still get cancer from them! I have been smoke and nicotine free now for over a year with the aid of the products listed above, i am grateful, but i still regret ever wasting my time on this junk!

1.0 out of 5 stars Wont work with Linux Mint Netbook, January 15, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I would love to put this on my Netbook, but it works everywhere else with zero issues. For some reason, this router is very finicky with my Linux Netbook. Also, it can be a bit moody, random knockoffs. I love Medialink's Wireless adapters, but i will not be purchasing a router again from them. Now looking for a used Linksys wrt54GL. This thing is not working right at all...
My firmware is up to date, and i set up the router EXACTLY as the instruction manual asked. Since i haven't seen anyone else report issues with this, it makes me wonder if mine arrived broken, if so, they need to work on quality control. If i purchase another router for my home, and it does the expected alleviation of problems, i will update this post.

UPDATE: Apparently my order still qualified for a return, so i am sending it back right now. I will update this all the way through, so people will know what to expect as far as getting their money back if they have issues with the router, or are not happy with their purchase.

ARTURIA Analog Experience-THE PLAYER MIDI Controller

5.0 out of 5 stars Just the controller.... Amazing w/ issues, November 11, 2012
Ok, right off the bat, if you have one, go down to Walmart, or whatever outlet store you have, buy super glue GEL, not the watery stuff, GEL (you'll thank me later). Glue the joystick, and all knobs, be careful to put them on correctly, the stuff dries fast. Take the keyboard down to radioshack, but a adapter with 12V ac 0.5 amps, make sure the end fits and matches the polarity (negative outside, positive inside), DONE...

Ok, now i'm sure your wondering why do all this? Honestly, this is the best feeling small controller i have EVER used. Its a shame they don't sell it by itself. It looks hot, and the keys are super solid and springy. Yes, it has quirks, but so does every other damn 25 key controller out there. If your wanting a good controller for something like a slim phatty, this one is aesthetically as appealing as your gonna find. Nobody makes good 25 key controllers because there is no money in it, this has been the best i have found, i love mine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Holy Cow!!!, September 14, 2012
We bought this Bunn because it was available at Walmart, but mainly because it happened to be one of the two between which we couldn't make up our minds on. The other one looks identical, just the reservoir is metal, in hindsight this was a better option, because the metal will only rust over time. Our Cuisinart DCC-2000 (coffee on demand pot) had started to reach a point where the coffee was just about undrinkable, honestly i was never very happy with it, mainly the carafe less pots, they are usually made of plastic, and almost immediately you taste the plastic (the internal carafe) in the coffee, which is only normal because plastic melts at relatively lower temps than glass. We learned our lesson, though they are convenient, we will NEVER buy another carafe less pot. So we were on the search for a new maker, and with how much we drink coffee a Bunn seemed like a good investment. First off, WOW, this is the singular best tasting coffee i have EVER made at home, no bite, no grit, no melted chemical taste, great stuff. Now this is a much lower priced Bunn Maker, i worked in dinners in my younger years, and know that the ones we used were built about 5 times better, so i accept that this one might not last 10+ years, honestly if it lasts 3+ years i will be happy, and probably buy a pro Bunn after that.
Now the downside:
Yes, you can't program a bunn, you cant set it to turn off, and if you go on vacation you MUST turn it off completely, but other than that its an AMAZING coffee maker. Your basically trading all the convenience for a better cup of coffee, which is alright in my book. What good is convenience when your coffee taste awful?
