Great Mystery...
This is the story of Detective Shevaughn Robinson, who is the first black female detective in the City of Portsborough, New York. When reporter Tony O'Brien tries to interview Shevaughn, there seems to be quite a attraction from the very beginning... When the report comes in about the finding of a murder of a female victim, and then a second murder, it just so happens to be someone Tony has been seeing, At that time, he becomes suspect in the gruesome murders of these women. Is it Tony that is leaving the calling card, the ace of hearts., or someone else? Will Tony be found cleared of any of this doing? Will Tony & Shevaughn become a couple after all is said and done? Will the real killer be caught? Who will be next?
The story line was well written, and the attention to the detail kept you wondering right to the very end.
To me, as a lover of a great mystery book, this was excellent reading of suspense and romance intertwined. I think that heavy sexual parts of the story line did not contribute that much to the book and took away from the story line at times. It could have had the romance in the book written in a different way, and I think it would have improved it more.
If you are looking for a great mystery that keeps you wondering, you should check this book out!

Inspiring...
We rarely allow the Holy Spirit to unleash His power in our lives. The Lord has work for us. Too often, we attempt to serve on our own terms, using our talents. The Lord wants to work through us supernaturally. When we serve only with our talents, we tend to think we accomplished something on our own. We forget to give the glory to God. When we allow Him to work supernaturally through us, we know it was not by our efforts but by the Lord's. Our natural talents are important and should not be ignored. We should develop them and use them for God's glory; however, some of the best speakers are those without that natural-born talent. For God uses the most unlikely people.
Henry and Melvin Blackaby back up their statements with scripture and logic. Experiencing the Spirit is well written and easy to understand and read. Readers will recognize the name Henry Blackaby from his previous book Experiencing God. When I see a book with the name Blackaby on it, I know it is filled with God's blessings.

Letters to Rosy...
Two old friends separated by an ocean reconnect through their letters. Renee shares the story of Ken Mitchell. The disappearance of his daughter almost destroyed him. He never stopped looking. Rosy shares the story of Mendy and her daughter Misty' abduction. Misty saw her mother raped. Their life would never be the same.
C. Ellene Bartlett wisely placed a cast of characters in the front of her book. It was easier to keep up with the characters with the list to refer back to. The cover of this book is beautiful. The violet background with a delicate crimson rose sprinkled with dewdrops sparked my curiosity. Letters To Rosy is a gripping novel. I read it in one sitting. I had to find the answers to the many questions. Bartlett created twists and turns that kept me guessing. Letters To Rosy is uniquely written in the form of epistolary. Bartlett took what seemed to be random threads and wove them together into a delightful mystery.

Inspiring...
Debbie Jordan shares her vision for a world where basic human needs are met. Shelter, food, transportation, basic clothing, medical, psychological care, dental and vision care, education, and job training, are a few of the items on her list. She is careful to state the need and want are two very different things. Jordan continues her dreams but explains where the funding would come from and the work force. Ending poverty and ending peace go hand-in-hand in Jordan's theory.
Debbie Jordan writes in an easy-to-read manner. Her thoughts are well organized and flow smoothly on the pages. Jordan has inspiring ideas. I hope that someday they are enacted.

Can there love to test the time, can she interfere with the past? Can she have a future with a secret that she has hidden in her heart?

Janet Quinn has written an interesting novel of time travel and takes the readers back to the old west and frontier times. The story line is quite enjoyable. This was a book that was hard to put down.

At the very beginning of time, all was dark and quiet. Destiny and her
Husband Decision were the only occupants of this somber place. She
Had all knowledge, felt every emotion, and predicted every move of
her creation. He saw all the possibilities, all the choices that may or may
not be made. It was all there. They spoke life into the stillness and made
a world filled with beauty and perfection.
Then she bore two sons: Kamali and Gualtiere.

As you read the beginning, it seems to remind one of the creation;
"In the beginning......." As you read this book, you can see in your
mind an analogy of Christianity.

Travel to a land back in time to an enchanted land where you are may find
mermaids swimming under the waterfall and demons prowling throughout the
forest .

Will peace return to the land? Will the sisters find romance. Will peace return to their hearts?

If you enjoyed The Chronicles of Narnia, I know you will enjoy reading this
Book. I could not put it down when I started reading it. It is a very fast read, and I look forward to a sequel to this book.

These young authors have got a hit on their hands, and I think it would make a
great movie.

4.0 out of 5 stars "A Great Moral", May 6, 2008
The vibrant pictures caught Parish and Isaac's eyes. Isaac made the noises for the animals. They enjoyed the "action" of the illustrations.
The moral is great. Sometimes, it is an internal characteristic that makes us special. In this case, it was bravery.

It is well-written, well-illustrated. It is perfect for pre-schoolers. It is a great way to teach children about character.

5.0 out of 5 stars "An Act of Appreciation to All Scranton Soldiers", May 6, 2008
This is essentially a picture book. Ms. Amori put it together for the Scranton service men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. She hopes to send many over (with the help of sponsors), so they will know that they have something great to look forward to.

Historical sites, sports events, and festivals are shown. This is a great idea. My copy is going to Iraq with ReviewYourBook.com's Operation Book Drop. Great job, Ms. Amori.
