5.0 out of 5 stars Goats, spells, and wishes galore, May 5, 2016
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Petstravaganza is coming and Marcy of As You Wish is asked to keep an eye on things as one contestant is suspected of sabotage. But when that person drops dead to poison and animals start being petnapped, it may take more than a little wishing magic to unravel this mystery before she ends up on the short end of a leash.

This series has not disappointed since book one and the magic is still there. The characters are still as enjoyable and the situations that Marcy ends up in are both funny and suspenseful (from a run in with a pygmy goat, to a miscast spell that caused streaks in her hair, to helping Glinda expose a cheating spouse). The list of suspects was small, but the real culprit you did not expect until the end. And there is a big reveal at the end that I will not spoil, but it was worth the wait. I cannot wait until the next book in October to see what new things may happen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Food eroje at its best., April 27, 2016
Ryo Machiko is a talented cook, but since the death of her grandmother the food does not taste the same. But when her second cousin arrives to start cram school and live with her during the weekends, she begins to realize that only with those you care about can bring out not only the best of food but of life as well.

This series was a enjoyable little story of a lonely girl who opens up. Of course it centers around cooking and eating food (and the eating scenes are just so over the top its funny) and the bonds she makes with others. I would recommend it for those who need a light life story.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Familia Myth continues, April 20, 2016

They thought they were prepared for their first foray into the Middle Castle area of the Dungeon. But the one true thing about the Dungeon is that the rules are always changing, and plans fall apart quickly. When a pass parade traps Bell, Wulf and Lilly in the middle levels can they survive to reach safety, or will Death finally catch up to them?

This is the story of a boy and the goddess that loves him. This will take you to the end of the anime, but not the end of the story as there are 11 novels. I loved this book and read it in one afternoon. I cannot wait to see what is in store next for the Little Rookie and his friends and hope that a second season of the anime is on the works

As the young couple are starting to get to know each other and share a first kiss a twist in their relationship may bring it to a crashing end before it begins. Why were the two brought together and what links them? This and other questions are finally answered in this the final volume .

Well to say the twist was well known in volume 1, but of course it needed to be held onto to give some story elements. Overall the series was good, and it could have been held onto for at least another volume - but i see why they ended it here.

As one who had seen and loved the original show on Clairol series of shows when I was younger. However while this has the songs that I enjoy, it just did not exactly live up to the original cast. Leo and Robert Anne were as good as the originals, but those they had to play Regina, Hubert, and Amnesia just did not live up to the standards the Rue McHallihan and other began. But I still enjoy the songs and will llisten to this again and again.

5.0 out of 5 stars The game based on the movie based on the game is worth the play., April 13, 2016
Ratchet and Clank have returned to their roots as told by a certain egotistical superhero. They are off to save the galaxy from Chairman Drex who plans to break up worlds to create a new planet for his race. Which probably would be okay, if he was not planning on using inhabited worlds to do this. So can an unlikely duo save the galaxy and get the credit they deserve, or be upstaged by someone with huge pectoral muscles?

I am only about an hour into the game and I love it. The frame rate is smooth, the story is more fleshed out than the original (especially during the cinematics), and of course the best part - the guns. Insomniac brings back some of your favorite toys with a few new ones (I got the bouncer gun for preordering with gamestop). The only part was a little hard was the ship combat - it was a little confusing at first but when you figure out the stick it is easy. A must for fans of the series who want to get back to old school playing. And I cannot wait for the movie later this month.

5.0 out of 5 stars Trip down memory lane, February 22, 2016
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Well Ash and the others are off to meet the Mother Dragon for their finals trip. But what starts out as a school project will also be a trip down memory lane as well as some eye opening revelations about Eco and the future of dragonkind. Also there is another revelation as Sylvia learns about that day in the forest during the orphan ceremony and what does this mean for the relationship between her Ash and Eco.

This one was the story that most was waiting for (and the end of season one of the anime). We will have to see what new events will transpire now that the truth is revealed and the path is shown.

Wedding Bells, Magic Spells (Raine Benares Book 8)

5.0 out of 5 stars Fan squeal, February 22, 2016

You would think with a upcoming peace conference and a wedding Raine would be on cloud nine. But trouble starts when her friend Marcus is attacked by an unknown monster in a mirror and almost killed. Then throw in the delegates being attacked by parties unknown and blaming the new goblin government (while she still does not like the current king - some of her best friends are part of the inner circle so she will give him a little credit). But when someone tries to disrupt the peace talks can she and her friends find out who is behind it and put a stop to it, and can she also survive meeting her new in-laws?

When I found this I nearly jumped for joy and quickly downloaded it and read it in one day. I love Raine and the magic is still there with all the humor, action and twists you can expect. She has new abilites from a familiar source, new enemies as well as an old one, and above all her new family are just full of surprises. If you enjoyed the first series you will love this one as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot Springs Hijinks, February 9, 2016

This review is from: Monster Musume Vol. 8 (Paperback)
Kirito and the gang are off to a hot spring resort while the house is getting fixed after the accident in the last volume. While there they get to enjoy a lovely mixed bathing resort hosted by a beautiful snow fairy - but things are not going well and its up to the gang to help this cold lass warm up to her guests (with a Frozen reference thrown in). Next is the local shrine that is having money issues and a local farm that needs a few hands and maybe a relationship councilor. When they return, a case of mistaken identity draws Suu, Mero and the hapless hero into a game of hide and seek that may have death following them.

I love the series and enjoy that we got to meet many new characters and also get a glimpse of relationships other than our favorite harem. Now we see a new story line involving Mero and a "secret" she has (though you probably guessed it right off the bat). Until next time.
